ok i just checked out the hks website and their new hipermax coilovers dont include the z32 or the s14. so hks is eliminated. So we are left with the JIC, Cusco, Tanabe, Greddy, Stance.

Silkroads from what i heard specialize in drift setups. i havent heard much about them from the time attack or grip crowd. but there are others that would be able to answer better than me. isnt there anything about silkroads on the forums?

they offer optional springs to exchange on the coils....so instead of running 10/8 you can go 8/6kg...and since you have the extra you can change them in and out for when you need/want to

I have an s13, but i'm rockin Tanabe coils and they are great. I've ridden in a friend's car with Teins and my car felt more planted...i guess. His car was a little stiffer but around corners it just seemed like my car stuck to the ground more haha.

My only complaint is that I wish the fronts would go lower. The adjustment is a collar type so the bracket is welded on, where as with PBM's the bracket is threaded so you can take it off and flip it allowing for about an inch more slammedness.

I love my JIC's. I haven't really experienced anything else but from what I can tell, they're of VERY good quality.

Coilovers should definately be something NOT to skimp on. Kinda like brakes.

well from what im reading the setup for the d-max coils are they are too tight on the damping even with the adjustability, so its no so good for grip situations, the yashio factory is well i dunno so im reading up on it.

but the JIC flt-ar

another thing...don't buy into the adjustability thing. You don't need 64 way adjustable coilovers if you're car isn't a dedicated track car. I have what...1 way adjustable? Unless i have dampening control, which I don't think I do, all I can adjust is the height, and I am perfectly fine with that.

K SPORT

silk road is also dope...
I personally run Ksports right now and they are meh.. The only reason I got them was because they were $750 to my door, which was the price of a spring/strut combo but with the Ksports I got the lowering ability that I wanted, and I got to choose the spring rates (9/7). The valving is the problem and the early models were prone to seal failure which led to them being blown. They have since re-vamped their dampers with better seals. I paid $100 and got 4 new dampers and they have been holding up for almost 2 years now.

My next coils will be either Apexi/Dmax/PBM.

im going to mess with the damping and reboud for sure, to rebalance my car perfectly. just dont need a ridiculous unit. so instead of the flt-tar im getting the flt tas... unless the tar is discounted
