hey 240cp, hit me up on aim at Pijaczek18.

I might have a cool solution for your twin charge idea. In the Miata world for instance SC's are very popular and a lot of the kits come with this thing called a by pass valve.

Basically what it does is if your just putting around and cruising it's stays open and completely by passes the SC.

I'm sure there is a way to make it work to when it starts seeing boost or something it closes off and by passes the SC.

not sure on all superchargers, but with mine it has a internal bypass valve. and what that allows is, when the throttle plate is closed or semi closed the bypass or also called recirc valve opens by vacuum allowing the boosted air to be recirculated in the supercharger. from outlet to back to inlet.

the bypass valve also has another nipple on the diaphram so you can electronically limit the boost with a silenoid that opens the diaphram at say 7psi.

now i like the idea wdracing has with blowing through the supercharger but my worry is would the suprcharger be able to get enough air pulling through the turbo. and would this affect the blow off valve when the sc'er is pulling air.

The SC and the turbo have their own intake. The brown in the pics represents two different intakes. The way you have it now with the TB on the SC and on the turbo side you just have a intake pipe and filter. You'll have to move the MAF to the cold pipe where it exits the FMIC so it see's all of the airflow.

and maybe put the mafs in the last cold pipe going in to the intake so it can see all the air. also the intercooler between the turbo and sc'er would be air to water.

My way you only add a turbo, intake pipe and another hot pipe.

that looks very nice but how would you keep the sc'ed air from going back into the turbo. once the turbo spools there wouldnt be a prob but at low boost the sc'ed air might try to go out the turbo? ? ?

maybe i could put a one-way valve in the hot pipe of the turbo to help keep the sc'ed air from trying to get back to the turbo. thats if they even make something like that?

also where u have the throttle body the turbo would never see it. so would the blow-off valve still operate as normal?

Here's the answer to the boost leak problem.

The BOV is manifold vacuum operated so it will work as advertised.

i see, where did you fine that intercooler? and on the cold side just Y the two cold pipes together and enter the intake as normal. seems to me you know alot about these type setups, why havent you tried something similar?

Other then that I'm good to go .

that sound great dude. looks like i might keep mine up front so i can give this twincharged thing a try. got two ways of doing it just not real sure on how i want to try it first. wdracings way looks alot easier than what i come with, so prob gone try his way first. and if it dont work out ill try the way i come up with.

I'm just one of those guys thats always thinking stuff up man. I look at an idea and I just visualize ways to go about doing things. I REALLY enjoy pioneering things. When I move out to TX and get my garage setup again, I'll be coming up with all kinds of kicka$$ idea's. Everything from subinjection setups to propane injection.

If I were to run a SC I'd mount it on the exhaust side and use the AC pulley.

Do you have any other pics of your setup? If not take some, I want close ups of how its mounted, how the belts run...everything. DO IT OR

wdracing the wife has the camera and she wont be back till around 10:00 tonight. ill see if i can get some pics tonight but if the quality is bad ill put up in the morning.

but the way i mounted it, i used the support from the stock mani. under it there was two mounts one was a single and the other was a double. i took the single and put it where the double was. dropped the supercharger in there and bolted it up.

i got it centered and level with the alternater pulley and then made two mounting brackets. one up front and one in the back. they are made of 1/8 inch flat metal about 2 inches wide. the one up front is bolted to the block where the water oulet is. and the rear one comes off the sc'er to the top of my cut manifold.

how i ran my belt was pretty much the easiest part. i found a flat back idler pulley, cut the end off the alternater bracket where the jack bolt is. drilled a hole, and bolted the pulley to the end of the alternater bracket. i use the alternater to tighten the belt. here is a crappy diagram i just made.

Wouldn't the best way to wire the oil pump be to the fuel relay? Only thing that would happen of pump failure would be goodbye turbo... not engine... Unless turbo lasted and all your oil was pumped out...Got any pics of your oil setup? of the return...

WDRacing sorry for the pics they are coming tomorrow. but i did some research on the web, what im coming up with is everyone is saying blow through the supercharger.

it makes the efficiency of the sc'er go up dramatically, as long as you keep the turbo boost equivalent to the sc'er. so basically if i want say 14psi, i need 7 pounds from the sc'er and 7 pounds from turbo. i may have some drop due to the intercooler and long piping but thats pretty much the just from what is was reading.

what's your thought on this?
