Wow, looks really sharp in red. Then again, this car looks good in any color.

It's a beauty! I didn't take the red because I wanted the rear lights to stand out more, but it's gorgeous never the less

The red definitely looks HOT, but how come nobody puts up any pics of their interiors? I've seen very few pics of the charcoal leather interior(which is what I'll be getting when I finally get my car) and would love to check them out.

The interior is same as the sedan, so nothing new there really.

Just got mine today. 2.5S (silver) fully loaded with premium package. Seems like a nice ride so far.

I just got back from a Brampton (Ontario, Canada) dealer and have ordered a black 2.5S with Leather Premium Package. Thanks for all your posts & pics! Sounds like it will be a week or so before I get it...can't wait! I test drove the 2.5S and 3.5SE back-to-back and opted for the 4cyl. There just wasn't enough difference to justify the added costs (initial price, gas mileage, etc). The 4cyl really surprised me.

Congrats! A week is pretty good (to say the least) for an ordered car.

It does look out of place, I don't think the coupe would look good with one. If Nissan manufactures one I think it would be the one found on newer G35 coupe models.

THAT spoiler is bloody awful. I don't think any spoiler would be an improvement. The Coupe's most distinctive lines are in the rear and rear three-quarters. Sticking a apoiler on it would make it look more like everything else.

Hey everyone,

This is my first post here, but anyway I am planning on buying a 08 coupe very soon (my first new car)

since the car is so new, i pretty much will be paying MSRP? (has anyone gotten a lower price?) also, I believe nissan has like a $500 coupon if you are a recent college graduate, do you know if that applies for the new altimas?

thanks

Living in the Castlemore area of Brampton, so I went to Airport Nissan. I like having a dealership 5-10 minutes away this time around. I dealt mostly with the sales manager there and they were really good to deal with. It sounds like the car is already in the pipeline and that's why were getting the quick delivery (estimated).

Thanks mcheddadi for the comparison of the 2.5S vs 3.5SE. The 3.5SE was definetly more powerful. But, I actually preferred the lighter front-end feel I got from the 2.5S. The 3.5SE engine had plenty of 'pull' but on a front wheel drive it is not was not as enjoyable as I thought it was going to be (vs. rear wheel drive 6cyl's that I tried, like the 323i). I really did like the 3.5SE's greater handling though and will probably miss that the most. I'd like to upsize the 16" rims one day on my 2.5S both for the handling and to fill the wheel wells a little better.

In the manual that comes with the car it gives recommendations on the type of fuel to use. For the 2.5 it says it is all right to use regular. The 3.5, on the other hand, recommends premium or they say it will develop an engine knock.

As far as price goes, the cars are selling for sticker in most cases. Some US dealers are marking them up (2-3K) over sticker but most buyers then look for a dealer closer to sticker.

And speaking of prices, I'm looking to lease one and would like to know what the residual value is at the end of 48 months.

I've been quoted $17K CAD (41%) and $15K CAD (49%). Percentage-wise are they the same in the US and Canada?

I want to lease for 48 months too, I'll find out if those are the same here but I doubt it.

I'm going to be special ordering a 2.5 S coupe (6 speed manual) w/ convenience package and moonroof...

Can't decide whether to get the Azure Blue w/ blond or the Dark Slate w/ charcoal. I like them both. I like the way the rear end looks in the dark slate. I think the back end is more defined in the dark slate than the blue. But I also like the blue, blue is more youthful (i'm 25). I've seen them both in person (though not next to eachother). And the blue one still had the white coverings on the hood, roof, and trunk at the dealer.

Any advice?

I would definetly go with blue. The Red taillights would be accentuated better and the blue would show off the cars lines better. The Blue has a sportier look.

It seems the Canadian rims for 2.5S is the same as sedan, correct? I think they look better than the US 2.5 rims.
