Nope, nothing yet they said that the unofficial launch for journalist test drives was 1st of June and that was in Ontario and Vancouver, after that only in the beginning of July will it start because they haven't started their advertising campaign. My dealer said that for those who preordered they would try their best to get their car by end of June mid July. So keep your finger's crossed to have it soon lol . Everyone who preordered should be driving theirs in max one month time.

Well I guess I better get my butt down to a dealer as I haven't preordered. That's sad to see that folks just down the 401 are probably driving these today & we don't even have them in the showroom.

My concern for not buying yet was that I would be over-paying for the "priviledge" of getting one of the first cars, which I really couldn't care less about. Plus I don't like it when a salesman tells me "you'll have it by the end of the month" when in fact they know it'll be longer than that.

dynot, you could always head down to an Ontario dealer and pick one up!As I mentioned, the Oakville one should have a fully loaded Niagara Grey 3.5SE coming in

Excellent contribution by hattrix: "Never said I was done talking. Just talking about that subject. I have been on this site and I OWN A COUPE!!! So I have more right to talk in this room than you.

You display your stupidity with your PS. FORD DESIGNS AND TESTS IN DETROIT MORON!! Honda designs and tests in Marysville. They don't hav product planners at your plant. However, since you have no life and no friends, it is understandable that you don't know that. As I stated in my previous post, they design cars at Marysville. They don't make the 20 cars a year that Ford might sell in Canada.

You are an a$$. It shows poor parenting so I don't totally blame you. You have bashed people before in this site. You try to start arguments, that is what I meant by war. As for reading, when you get an MBA, you kind of have to read once in awhile. It is somewhat of a requirement. However, when you are a$$ you simply have to attack to make yourself feel better. So here is a thought. Go find the sedan page and bash them because they overloaded their trunk with baby supplies. "

Hey Hatty - I see the monastic life isn't working out after all, but that's okay, I needed a good laugh. That was rich! Thanks, man - really.

dynot - seems like the guy up a few posts got a pretty good deal - not only no goudging, but a decent discount from list. When I was buying I joined up with both carcostcanada and carhelpcanada - they both offer pre-negotiated deals on most models, including the Altima. WELL worth the 50 or so bucks each for membership.

If you want a referral to the guy I dealt with at Oakville - smart kid, no BS - just let me know.

Not sure if you're joking but as far as I know it I wouldn't be able to buy it in Ontario, would I? The irony of it all is that a buddy of mine who lives in Oakville is coming to see me here tomorrow. Imagine the conversation:

Me: So what time will you get here?Him: Oh about 8AM.Me: Cool. By the way, could you pick up a car for me? And careful not to scratch it. I'll pay you back in the next 48 months. 'preciate it...bye now...don't be late.

jaeger, thanks for the tip. Didn't know about that and I'll read up on it to see how it works.

No joking, and I don't think there would be a reason why you couldn't buy in Oakville. It's not like buying a car in the US, at least it shouldn't be...I'd look into it if I were you.I'm betting Jaeger and I dealt with the same person too!

Well I know for sure I need Quebec plates since I'm a resident here. If I buy in Ontario I'd be paying Ont PST along with the license fees etc.

When I transfer here I'd have to get a credit from Ont & that may take a while. Not to mention that there may be some rules regarding purchasing a car out of province and bringing it back to your home province within a specified time like 30 days or so. Afterall, provincial governments don't want to start losing sales tax revenues. Otherwise wouldn't consumers in BC & Sask buy cars in Alberta to save money.

I'm sure there are some restrictions. And given the hoops I'd have to jump through it may not be worth it if the car will be available here in the next few weeks or cost effective if I can find a similar good deal here.

Thanks for the suggestion just the same.

A couple of Coupes have landed in Ottawa. Unfortunately mine is not one of them. I am going to take a look after work. They are reported to be 3.5 SEs with the stick. Montreal should get theirs anyday now as the train would just keep rolling along towards Montreal.

Nice! I ordered a manual 3.5SE one (blue with blond interior)! If those are heading to montreal and they are stick, that means only one thing: I'm getting mine sooner than expected !I was one of the first (the 2nd lol) to preorder at Cite Nissan in Montreal back in may 18th

dynot,

It can be done, but upon reflection, it is not likely to be worth the extra effort just to get one a couple weeks (who knows- days?) sooner. I am not the most patient person in the world, so I totally understand that waiting isn't easy. But it can't really be THAT much longer. Good luck man.

My guess would be that since you pre-ordered so early that yours would be in the 1st shipment and I assume it's only logical that Montreal would get them next as they are so close to Ottawa.

Hope you get it this week.

Are we allowed discussing prices?

Does anyone have a preferred dealer in the Montreal area?

I'm a little skeptical about getting the lease deal I want. I really love the Coupe. If not I'll have to go with a Civic Coupe EX which is nice too but their forums suck, they only talk about making their cars fart, they are not very helpful. Does anyone have any other suggestions.

Hey guys, i already bought my coupe on saturday, but the funny thing is that my damn insurance company didn't even have it in their system yet, so I've been waiting for 2 days now for them to give me the OK. My car got rust proofing done tday and tmorrow dealer said they will do the PDI/Prep and stuff on it; it should be ready by 4pm. I goto work at 3 so I won't be able to pick it up till Friday cause they are closed to the public on Thursday due to some meeting. AGGHH!! I want my baby now!!!!!

I'm with State Farm and my insurance premium for six months went up nearly $100.00 w/ the V6 Coupe (I previously had an '02 Cougar XR also V6). My agent told me it will most likely go down after a year because right now it's in the 'new model' category and theres no claim information and or rating for it yet. He said after a year new models usually go down considerably. He also said since this car is rather fully featured with safety stuff it should fair well through accidents much like the sedan apparently does.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with you having to wait to get it covered but I just wanted to throw my experience in so others might know what to expect.

Hey prlwhitecoupe congrats on your new coupe.

Out of curiosity, was it pre-ordered or was it a walk-in purchase?

Just out of curiosity, which dealer in Ottawa are you doing business with?I've bought a few cars from Tony Graham Nissan in the west end, and I've been pretty happy with them.Do you know if they have a coupe I can test drive? Thanks.

I'm dealing with Walkley Nissan. They told me that Tony Graham and 417 nissan each received 1 coupe. If it's not sold you would be able to test drive it there. The Walkley site received a Black 3.5 with premium pkg(Nav???) and a grey 3.5 base. Both were Manuals.

it was kind of both actually. I pre-ordered my coupe in April, but a black 2.5 without premium. However when these 4 coupes came in, i was told that my coupe was not coming until the end of the month. He showed me the ones they got in, which was a niagara grey which i test drove without premium (2.5 cvt) and the others were Red, White, and Silver, all 2.5's w/premium pkg. He actually called me the DAY they got them in so i was one of the first ppl to see them...and hes like, basically if u want one NOW, take ur pick, because the red one was for the general manager as a demo road car, the white was someone else's sale, but that customer didn't know his car was in yet...he's like if u want this one, i can give it to u before the other sales person comes in and tell's his customer that its here (im pretty sure it was a big bunch of **** to get me to buy the car, however, my car was already on the way anyways...so i dont know, cause if i was the guy who had ordered that car and i found out it was given to someone else I'D BE REALLY PISSSEDDDD) neways, so long story short, i made my decision on the pearl white....looks beautiful and i figured ill dish out the extra cash for the premium and forget the black, too much maintenance and worry.

Tony Graham has a fully loaded 3.5 CVT black coupe in stock according to the nissan web site. You can now search the inventory of dealers on the candian site for the coupe. It's no longer listed under future cars.
