Altima Coupe Release

I'm new to this board and new to Nissan's in general. I'm in the market for a new car and have been shopping around for a few weeks. A friend told me to check out the new Altima Coupe. Well lets just say I'm pretty impressed with what Nissan has put together and the coupe looks to be at the top of my list. I went to to the Nissan website and looked up the number for some local dealers so i could give them a call and ask some question i had on the coupe. The first question I had was when they would actually have one that i cold test drive. The first dealer I spoke to told me that the car wont even be out until this fall and the second one said middle of the summer. The Nissan website says late spring and all the other car sites(edmunds.com, cars.com) say May 25. Both dealers said they had received no info on the coupe from Nissan. Any one know the real story on this? I was really looking forward to buying one in the next few weeks but if the dealers don't even know whats going on I may have to get something else.

Basically all Nissan dealers are saying the same thing (well in California that I'm aware of). Either a dealer doesn't have much info and says they will be getting inventory in the summer or they will have them very soon but, these will not be released to the public. All Altima Coupes are preordered out, and in addition to that there's a waiting list. They are not taking any more names. Due to high demand they are going to be priced above MSRP atleast $500. If you want one, you're looking at until late this year to get your hands on one.

I just factory ordered my altima coupe yesterday morning through Connell Nissan. the general manager placed the order for me without any deposit because he say if i dont buy it then it will be sold the same day. I already received my order number and will be receiving progress of the car from nissan as it gets produced.Its a car they want to have anyways. I called 10 other nissan dealers and they said they are at nissan's mercy on what they will be receiving and how many and they cannot take orders until late june. But i did not talk to the general managers just the internet managers.

I dont know about the waiting list to buy the car nor the not taking anymore names for the car. What i heard from some dealers is that its a limited production car but i dont know if this is right or not.

All i know is that i ordered it from Connell Nissan and they are taking orders this week so if anything you can order it through them.

Also the general manager told me that nissan pushed back the delivery date to late june instead of may.

I just ordered my coupe ... the dealer said they were being built as we speak and they are expected to be at the dealer mid-june. I am from Toronto Canada ...

Now I am not sure about limited production, but at Least in Canada, Nissan is limiting us to less than a third of what they are quoting the US. My dealer said they're only getting in 2 a month (at each dealership) ... can you imagine the wait times?!

Anyways, I am VERY excited about this car! I saw it in Detroit and loved it right away ... I ordered the 3.5L SE V6 6MT in pearl white w/blk leather! ssweeett!! But I don't know how big a fan I am of white on black - they dont even offer a tan leather with the white - go figure!!

I'm new here, but I'm also just back from the dealer after ordering my Coupe!Ordered the 3.5 SE CVT, fully loaded with the Nav and Premium packages.Niagara Grey for the colour and black leather inside.

I've also put in a request for wheel upgrade options. I want to upgrade the 17" wheels, to 18".He should have some options for me next week.

Seriously can't wait for this car!!!!

Oh and I'm in the Toronto area (Oakville)

I'm getting a VPP discount as I work for the company that is Nissan's digital provider (we design the Canadian sites etc.) and My dealer had no price for either the car, or what my discount would be yet (he mentioned end of the month) but he did say I was lucky to be getting the VPP discount as dealers aren't offering price breaks on the Coupe

And cookies would be a great!

I went a few weeks ago to reserve my Coupe! Its killing me to wait any longer. Everyday I go online to see when it will be in. I told the dealer I would call everyday till it gets in. I didn't go that far but I can't wait anymore!!!

Hey guys I don't know if someone can help me out here but I got a question. I want to lease the Altima Coupe, just the 2.5S with the convinience package; and I was wondering if I would be able to do it for under $300 a month? Like around 270. I'm planning on putting about 3,000 down.

I reserve my Altima Coupe in April just got the exact price last week

For a 2.5 with leather package the price in Montreal is $32795.00 cnd

I am suppose to have it in mid june.

In Montreal the dealer are expecting to have only one coupe each month.

I am happy to be the first one to order it at my dealer right now they dont take any more reservation because all there coupe are reserve till the end of the year.

toxic, head over to the nissan web site and choose a car that will have the approximate price of your Coupe package and then use the payment calculator for a rough estimate on what your monthly might be.

I looked at Edmunds and it gave a price quote of $26,715 USD for 2.5 S + CVT + Premium Package (Minus TTL).

$26,715 USD = $29,330 CAD

That means they are adding $3k to the MSRP?!

I guess I'll wait till it hits close to MSRP.

yeah that's pretty crazy. But I can't believe they are only getting 1 a month. In that TV interview video that was posted here a while back, the Nissan rep said they are making 12 an hour. That means by the time they launch, theyll have close to 3000 of them out... so i can't believe they're gonna be that scarce.

Hey dgerv, I just preordered mine in montreal too. They said someone just preoredered a grey altima coupe from them, I wonder if it's you?

Anyways I just preordered a full equipped 2008 Altima coupe 3.5SE with the 6 speed manual, the Premium package and the Navigation package.(equivalent to the US Technology Package + Premium Package + Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) + power Moonroof)

total = a cool $40K in canadian dollars (36400$US) , which is a good 5710$US premium over the US price of 30690$US, all of that because US car manufacturers don't want to adjust their prices to our stronger-than-before currency http://www.nissannews.com/niss...g.pdf

Well anyways, I chose Adriatic blue as the color with Blond leather FTW They said I would get it in mid July.

I order it white with tan interior but that i am not sure if it is the color i gone have

My dealer have a black on is list he will try to change it with another dealerfor a white or a grey but any of those color will be great.

BSam i dont think you have the right way for the price of the car

if you look at Nissanusa.com for a altima basic price is $19800usat nissan.ca same car is $24398cnd

it is not just a matter of difference between us and canadian dollard

you should know that canadian love..................... to pay special taxe for every thing so the price i paid for my coupe is the exact list price that i saw

Hello everyone, I'm new here.

I live in Miami and apparently there's no problem with the orders. I want to lease a 2.5 s coupe with CVT around mid July and I've called a couple of dealers and they just say I can come in and get it, no need for a waiting list. When the 07' Altima Sedan came out back in November the dealers here were getting Truck loads of Altimas every month, so hopefully everyone here get's their coupe. This is going to be my first car so I'm really excited, I want to get it in the Turquoise blue with black interior, I don't care about the hub caps.

For the person who ordered the White one with Tan interior, I saw pictures of one in Canada, apparently it was a test version because it had tape on the signs but I could tell it was a 3.5 SE since it had a Nav. System, it was somewhere in autospies.com, I saved the images to my computer but I can't find the correct link.

Well, good luck to everyone trying to get their Altima Coupe.

Well they are making 13 (not 12 toxik!) an hour so that's equal to roughly 2225 cars for launch (25th of may), since they make it for 9 hour each day and they work Monday to Friday plus only 1 Saturday per month (can go to two rarely). Each nissan dealership is going to get max, 2 on preorder only, each month, until the end of the year in Canada.

Since there are 1100 dealers in USA and 146 ones in Canada that's 1246 dealers wanting A coupe. About more than 10% goes to canada per month (2 for earch dealer) so that leaves 1933 cars for the 1100 usa dealers for the launch.So about 2 for the really big to medium ones and only one for the really small ones.

2225~2340 coupes for 25th of May3042 more by the 29th of June2574 more by the 31st of July

Conclusion: By July, every dealer should be getting ONLY 2 coupes per month, not just the really big ones, so...You better preorder now or you're not getting any until next year!

Wow nice wallpaper, I just went to the Nissan web-site and clicked on the option to order the car and I did, Azure Blue Metallic with Charcoal interior, but waht are the chances of my dealer having the car by mid-July? Anyway, I cant pay too much and I'm leasing, my parents have an 06' Altima, leasing too, so are there any chances I can get some sort of discount, hopefully, well, in just one week we might see it in person, I just can't wait.

Oops, I saw those colors on Yahoo autos, but they'll figure out there's only one blue like this. I've been in love with that color ever since the G35 but couldn't afford it, now Nissan gives me the opportunity to have a nice, good car without the price tag, hopefully.

I ordered a black 3.5SE with CVT and Premium package on 5/9. The dealer said it should be here in early July. I got it for $27,615.

I found a video of the first review by edmunds.com, and good pictures too.Just click were it says ROAD TESTS and select the first one which is for the Coupe. Then click on video to watch the video or photos, but you have to be on ROAD TESTS if not, you see the same old pictures.

Nice!! they reviewed the adriatic blue one! omg, i'm soo happy I chose that color, I looks so awesome in real life!!

They should have reviewed the Manual one more instead of the CVT automatic though.
