No, u can get the same rims in the states, only with the convenience package tho. Here in Canada, the convenience package is standard and is the entry model; nothing lower than that.

i like the solid spokes for the 2.5s rims. I wish they would of just used the 17'' rims of the sedan on the coupe instead of the new coupe ones they are using.

I just got home from the dealer and ordered one.

2.5 S CoupeAzure Blue w/ Charcoal Interior6 Speed ManualConvenience PackageMoonroof

Got an awesome price and awesome trade in value. And also a pretty good finance rate.

Should get it in about a month or 2. I can't wait!

Only downside is I had to agree to turn in my trade in now to get a higher trade in value. No big deal though cause I have another car I can use until I get my new car.

I know, it's gonna be sweet, can't wait. There are way too many CVT's out there and not enough 6 speeds. I'm sure if I wanted the CVT, I'd be able to get it right away. But there was no way I wasn't getting the 6 speed!

Thanks, I think the difficult part is going to be cleaning it up. I have to take it back to the dealer for them to do the detailing but I got it. It was hard, I wen't to two dealers and they both were going $1500 over MSRP, but the first one, we are repeat cutomers and they wanted to get me into a 2.5s with Conv. Pack and Sunroof, $24,000 and at last they wen't down $150 under MSRP but the monthly payments were still too high. The second one was not willing to negotiate either and I understand, somebody will come and is willing to pay more, what helped me was a printout from LeaseCompare.com, I was about to give up, I showed it to them and they wen't for a bit over that. I'm still paying more than I wanted but that's the price of having a car on demand. It looks beautiful.

Just purchased my coupe! I,ve been sleeping with the picture next to my bed since 25march. I've owned 3 Nissans( '85 300zx,06 Alt 2.5) and this is by far the best.-Prem pkg-VDC-alum kick plates-mats-frost white, blond leatherLoves=bluetooth, 6cd, xm, intelli key & push-button start, dash illumination at night, Bose, the adj of the seats(i'm 6'2 and i fit very comfortable), sound of the VQ under acceleration, handling vs. ride. Yes, it has everything but navi. I figure navi tech will change and improve over the next few years & i'd hate to have outdated tech in my dash. Maybe i'll get a garmin so that it can go from car to car.ThanksJess

Yeah, I figured the same. Navigation is a convenience, but unfortunately, it gets outdated rather quickly. In my estimation, a portable system would be best.

Car: 3.5 Dark Slate Altima Coupe w/ premo package and VDC

Post

ive been waiting for this car since april... FINALLY ordered a 3.5 SE Dark Slate w/ premo package on Friday, they said to expect to wait b/w 2-3 months to arrive. Got an email SATURDAY from a neighboring dealership saying they have the exact same thing in right now... working to get the dealership i preordered through to hopefully get me that one, we'll see!

otherwise, my dealer marked up an addition $1500. i managed to get them to waive that, plus an additional $700, plus 3 years of free oil changes and service maintenance. considering everywhere else ive been, they wont budge in price, all in all, i'd say a good deal! nissan wont budge at 7% financing so i managed to get a better deal through my credit union. if you belong to one, id advise you to check out their rates.

Getting MSRP on the Coupe is a really great deal, most dealers are marking up $1500. I got my first deal just a bit under MSRP but the payments were still too high cause it was 2.5s with conv. pack and sunroof. The second one for MSRP, base but the payments were more reasonable. Man this car is gorgeous . The first dealer I went to had a 3.5SE, with premium, dark slate.

The Nissan dealer in Cherry Hill NJ had a "market adjustment" of $3000. I actually am getting one from an out-of-state dealer for a considerable amount under MSRP.

Wow....that's a long time!

According to a post from a Nissan sales guy in another forum, if you're flexible on options you can get in a matter of days depending on what time of the month you order. Color is easy to get.

I'm planning on getting the exact same car and hope it will be in stock somewhere so I don't have to order from the factory & wait that many months.

The way I see it, if I have to wait 2-3 months I might as wait till next year when dealers might start selling below MSRP. I don't know much about auto marketing but I think the limited availability may backfire against Nissan. Sure, they can sell them now at MSRP or higher, but what about those frustrated customers who are told about the long lead time? I'm sure quite a few will either consider the new Accord Coupe or wait till next year when supply improves.

Hopefully you'll get yours from that other dealer...don't forget to post pics!

Yeah, all dealers are saying there is limited availability, so they get ahold of that and the fact that it is an 08' to go over MSRP. But I'm sure it won't take long ordering bacause dealers get 2 or 3 cars every week or so and there is a chance that if your dealer finds your same car in another dealer they can trade, but you have to also be checking up on what they have.

My dealer got my car 2 weeks after I ordered it. Originally the dealer told me that I'd probably have to wait like 2 months, since I only wanted black on black and no other combination.

Black on black is hot. Literally. My black leather gets hot very quickly, but I presume leather is still better than the regular seats.

Actually the low supply and high demand will do better for resale values and creates a frenzy for the vehicle which increases its profile. I still havent seen another since i purchased mine...it's a great feeling not seeing yourself come and go...Jess

yeah, the exterior got hot pretty quickly, but the interior not so much, then again i dont have the leather and i dont really leave the car outside for long periods. It's either moving or standing inside my garage. But you kinda gotta expect the heat when you get anything dark.

I ordered my car a month ago but I still haven't heard from the dealer. I didn't expect him to find the car that I ordered. I got the 3.5 SE Azure blue with the premium package, charchoal leather in 6 speed. I've been checking every dealers inventory in a 50 mile radius and I haven't seen even one with that combination. I'm gonna give him a call tomorrow and see if he's gotten any information about when it's coming in. The wait for me is worth it just cuz I got an amazing deal. Hopefully less than a month to go. I'm on this site everyday seeing what others are saying and it's getting harder and harder to wait. But from what i'm hearing it's going to be worth the wait.

I would have called him earlier. From what my dealer told me, if they can't locate a car, they can do a special order from Nissan. A special order takes the longest time, since you basically have to wait for them to make your car, that's why you want to put in the special order asap, if you know your car isn't coming to any of the local dealers.

I think part of the problem is that you ordered the blue. That colour seems to be very scarce. Still haven't heard of one making it to Canada, yet. I was looking forward to seeing one as it was between Blue and Black for me. I picked up my Black 3.5 CVT on Friday night and it has been great to drive.

I am really liking the keyless entry feature more than I expected.

On another note, have any of the Canadian Coupe owners checked for the block heater cord. I checked and the plug was not in the square latch in the front bumper. Do I have to find it and feed it throught myself or is my block heater missing?
