heartofaskyline wrote:nice build. ive got that same intake manifold as you and if you use anything besides the stock fuel rail it sucks! its the first gen mani and the mounting points for the fuel rail dont work with any aftermarket rails. not even GReddy ones. lol
That sucks, I didnt know which gen I had haha. I don't plan to run a different fuel rail for now, so it shouldn't be a big deal, but that does kind of suck.
roadboy240sx wrote:do you think your gonna have it done by the 9th ?
Oh yeah, should for sure be ready to rock by then. I hope my coilovers will be here by the end of the week, that is the last big thing I am really waiting on.

Thanks man! Been trying to learn a lot and try to do the car up clean and right, despite my wallet screaming

For sure, it needs a lot of TLC in the bay. Hoping I can make it presentable!

Thanks! $1200 shipped on ebay- better than $1500 and 4 month wait. I wanted a different finish, but had to take the deal!

haha, I don't think so. I have to either go to a wedding or a shower for mine every single weekend in June :/ We'll see though, I don't have many vacation days left and work full time, so Fridays are tough for me, unless it was a Friday evening.

I didn't do a lot this weekend, had some wedding shtuff to work on. I claybared the whole car since the paint felt like sandpaper- it really needs a lot more than that, but it made a big difference. Other than that I didnt accomplish a lot. I am finishing up the lip install tomorrow after work.

Pics of my wee little pull:

^ My mom, brother, and grandpa, lol.

Tossed the hood on after I clayed all of the crap off of it. I am just gonna throw some wax on the car so it has something and detail it better later this summer... it has a lot of scratches and whatnot, but it seems to have some life left in it:

Bumper was not done yet- the paint for sure still could use a lot of work, but it ws nice to at least see it look and feel somewhat like paint again

Should be on the ground FOR REAL this time by friday night or saturday.

That's why I got mine flat black. Since I race my car I didn't want to be buffing, waxing...ect any of that crap! besides living in the $hitty state of michigan the roads will just chew the nice paint job I was going to get!! We'll have to meet up this summer sometime & go racing. even if I have to drive out there for an auto-x!!!

See...no fuss paint!!!

I think I wouldn't have spent the money for flat black if I was worried about tracking it- didnt you have it professionally done? I would have just rattle canned it if it was a track slut, but it is your money You need your own thread so you can stop whoring mine man

Flat black isnt for me... need some gloss to it. I still prefer white cars haha

I just used my eastwood fender roller.

I am not really into drifting, thanks for the offer though! Maybe I will check an event out sometime, but i don't plan to ever drift this car.

Two pics I forgot to post:

Lip installed:

Overflow, the only shiny clean thing in my bay:

And now pics from this evening... SUSPENSION!

I was kinda glad these were black and not orange like the ones I had on the solara:

My friend took this of me working and I didnt know, lol:

It took me quite a while to get everything tightened up in the back and get the camber set decent. It still needs to be adjusted on one side in the rear. The rear will come up about 3/4"-1" and the front will come down about an inch. I just had a really long, failure day and decided to get some shut eye.

Gonna finish getting it set up right tomorrow and go from there. A friend from GR is coming out to give me a hand in the afternoon. I am going to hope for a lot of progress- stay tuned!

NOOOOOOOO> why didn't you go with stance instead, they are the same price and are way better!!! Ksport is something a Xceedspeed member would get, I know you are better then that!!!

I have owned tein (1 set), JIC (2 sets), and k-sports (3 sets), so don't sass me with that. I had a set of k-sports on both my camry and my solara and I loved them- I never had a single problem with them, despite both sets of my JICs blowing up and having other problems.

The teins I had that came on the car were not the best. They were the old HA style that required you to preload the springs to lower the car, which is not something I am a fan of. I paid about $100 for k-sports after selling the teins, so it seemed like a no brainer. I got a sick hookup, so no, these were not the same price as Stance coilovers.

I build my car for me, so I'm sorry if everyone doesn't like the BRAND of my coilovers. I am happy with them and the car, so I am not concerned too much with what "the forum" likes and doesn't like.

I understand that, I'm just saying that you have all these top dollar parts (great parts) then 1 realllllly cheap part! that's all! enjoy the build

Just read your entire post. I usually hang in the vert forum. I just got my 93' 240SX vert at the end of March and while I don't plan on going as far with my car your post has inspired me to get busy. Your car is clean. I can't believe how much you have done. If you ever need any help let me know. I don't live far from you and I work in Ann Arbor.Clint

coils, probably one of the most important parts on the car. Their individual dampening and spring rates aren't very closely toleranced. I have seen data to prove it but its late so I wont bother looking.

Thread was going great until I saw those, I have lost some hope, but I still love the stance and I am in need of a fender puller, but I will still give u my honest opinion about ksports. Friend of mine had them and they blew in no time.
