US has quite a bit of work to do against Algeria. They played very well defensively and offensively today.

Yep (although imo, their defense could have done better )...what the US needs to do is actually start out strong for once...and not give up a goal within the first 15 minutes.

England better get their heads out of their asses if they want to move on. I've been thoroughly disappointed with their game play so far.

Bah, Aussies vs Ghana - good match, but Kennedy messed up that perfect shot to take the win. Oh well, the Socceroos played much better than Ghana, and a ton better than they did against Germany.

Nice 3 way tie in that group. Definitely makes it for an interesting next game for all the 3 teams involved. A win would be nice, but USA also needs to keep the goal advantage in case England wins as well.

But Paraguay is looking good this morning. Slovakia looks mad. 4 minutes of stoppage time but I doubt they'll pull out two goals for a tie. GJ Paraguay.

i'll admit Keita made a meal of that elbow to the chest. but to say Kaka is really innocent, IMO, is not. Seeing how the game got heated and he must remember being booked already. you think he would know to keep calm...
I've been reading stuff all day about "poor Kaka" "brazil didnt deserved the red card" and all that stuff... And how horrible the ref was.. ok, he was horrible to BOTH teams... how did Luis Fabiano handle the ball, twice!. The ref still asked if he did, he asked him!. Yea, like if he was going to say ..."yup, i did. too bad u didnt see it, HAH!"... lol. Seriously though, i think Brazil get away with stuff sometimes because they are everybody's favorite team. Yea, they play great football...but they also have the're divers, cheats and kickers...

Seriously...

My issue is this...

Brazil vs South Korea
- Brazil is winning 3-0 and Kaka gets a yellow.
- Korea starts getting frustrated/desperate and Kaka ends up getting a second yellow.
- He can't play vs Portugal

Why is Ronaldo in vs North Korea if he has a yellow and we are winning 4-0???
If he got a yellow card who knows what could happen vs Brazil. Stupid move IMO.
