Uruguay 3 - S Africa 0

That match was kinda sloppy all over. I didn't see the red card on the Goaltender coming though.

That one guy was every where(Suarez). Its like oH noes! someone's down oh its that guy again. He got bloody, got swabbed and promptly tries another goal attempt and ends up down on the ground again.

uhh, maybe i missed something. but i noticed nobody is going for argentina, who have, arguably (and yes i will argue about it) the best player in the world. lionel messi (not to mention lots of other greats). youtube some highlights for proof (i have plenty saved, ask me if you're lazy lol)

also spain is a strong favorite in my mind. netherlands is a strong underdog in my mind, too. and of course, USA!

but yeah that brazil north korea game was incredibly surprising. definitely wasn't expecting 0-0 at half, but north korea played some very sold defense. and i dunno about that red card against khune... replay i saw didn't sell me on why the card was issued, but i think i know why...

oh yea... haha, you are right sir. sorry for the mistake. ok, so i was way off.. lol.
and Luis Suarez, the Ajax captain is prtty good. I like his hustle.

I dont want Argentina to win simply because Maradona said he would get butt naked if they do... lol.

yea, i didnt think it was a penalty. The ref bought it pretty cheap, Suarez was already dragging his foot even before Khune had his out there.

Yeah I didn't see him actually making an attempt a goal. Just kinda blew for South Africa.

As for Argentina. I'm not saying they aren't good, messi is sick nasty, I just didn't see them play yet this cup. but I'm German so that's my main team since I've been alive as far as world cup is concerned.

understandable. their first game against nigeria was interesting. they managed to score within the first 8 minutes i believe, and then held onto the lead. messi had 3 or 4 really good shots on goal, too. and germany, man don't get me started on how well they're playing. they just completely dissected australia

I saw the Argentina game, they scored early on and held on to the lead. Even though they could have scored plenty, Higuain and Messi had tons of chances. I read somewhere Higuain was probably going to be drop because of all the chances he missed.

As for Germany, they are my bet to win it even before the World Cup started. And im Mexican, and i do hope for Mexico to win it, or even USA since i was raised here. So Germany would be my third choice.. lol They have difined there attacking style pretty well, up front with Klose and Podolski is just a goal waiting to happend. Plus you add Ozil's pace to that and its just sick. Its too bad about Ballack's injury though, his last World Cup and i think his ball and game control would have been a huge asset to Germany. The back four are pretty solid as well, got height, pace and experience.

i'm so hyped for tomorrow's game. argentina and south korea. my roommate is korean, so naturally you can guess who he's going for. should make for an interesting early morning. messi had some spectacular shots that should have been converted, but that nigerian keep...

randomly semi off topic, but man i can't wait for la liga next season so i can see david villa on barcelona. that's going to be epic. and i think they're saying they might go after fabregas too.

Germany's best 2 strikers are both Polish........that just sounds like a very bad joke.

Fabregas has been interested in La Liga for a LONG time. The mid-field from Spain's national team would be Barcelona's mid-field and good chemistry is what makes Spain so good.

Imagine the damage...

lol.

i don't like that they gave Greece their second goal. They came up with some foolishness to not give Mexico their first goal, and now they're doing it again to give Greece theirs. A player on the field is a player on the field whether he's standing or on the ground -- if he's not hurt and play isn't suspended at the moment. So in my eyes, dude on the ground was offsides and that goal was just crap. oh well.

Higuan was offside's today as well..on his first goal.
Offside rule should just read: whatever the ref thinks on that day. lol

lol it practically already is with dani alves, andres iniesta, xavi, puyol, pique, busquets, and pedro (him and bojan i took a liking to this season with barcelona). but yeah, adding fabregas to that would be awesomeeeeee

Holy crap, Mexico might of just knocked France out of the World Cup

Uruguay 4 points
Mexico 4 points
France 1 points
South Africa 1 points

Next game is Uruguay vs Mexico and France vs South Africa. France's only shot is to have Uruguay lose Mexico and beat South Africa by enough points that gives them a higher goal differential than Uruguay.

So as of now France needs to beat South Africa by 5 goals (if Uruguay loses in Penalty kicks vs Mexico) or they need to win by 4 goals (if Uruguay loses to Mexico by 1 goal). France needs Mexico to beat Uruguay by like 4 goals to have a realistic chance of making it...

Mexico over France. Great game, and an upset.

Blanco the 3rd oldest man to score a goal in a World Cup. Great football!

Terrible challenges, but an even worse job by the ref at giving cards out like it's the players birthdays...

Terrible to see a ref be that involved with the result of a game, @ 2 mins in I figured that this game was going to be interesting. So far I am right.

Referee blows, but I was rooting for Serbia anyways. 'Twas a nice goal.
