The Chile 1 - 0 Switzerland match was exciting. Lots of action not a lot of lag time. Everyone in that game played a full 90. Great game. Kinda BS Red card, but he did slap the one defender in the face then elbowed and slapped the second defender. That ref wasn't letting much get by.

I'm a little saddened by how much unnecessary diving by the players to get a foul called. And they've become so good at selling it that they easily fool the refs. In the 80's that was not part of the game and since the players decided to change it around I think the rules need to be changed as well to prevent it. They are just destroying the game.

I'm really really really really hoping England finally takes a win tomorrow. If not, I'll be in a rage smashing stuff around my house. I'm a huge fan of the English soccer team, and to see them tie 0-0 against Algeria pissed me off enough. No composure, Heskey's useless, lack of communication, ugh. This is their last shot, and I hope they make the most of it and continue to the next round.

England Game was intense. Rooney and defoe doing some nice work up top, and Gerrard had a sick attempt at a save with a weird diving header, pretty good defending at times but had slovenia been a little more with it they coulda tied it easy.

my friend immediately knew what happened and came running over to the tvs (i guess there is a benefit to working in an electronics store) to watch the replay

I found out yesterday why the last games are played at the same time. look up 1982 world cup and read about west germany and austria.

Ha Italy sucked. I thought Paraguay was gonna get a 2-0 victory but oh well.

I wish New Zealand had won, but they did well for a low ranking team. Hopefully, they'll do better next time around. Japan dominated Denmark 3-1, Serbia owned Italy 3-2, with Italy's 2 points coming in too late. Good stuff. Hoping England is able to overcome Germany...

I'm glad Italy and France are out. I have WAY to many cocky Italian friends and France knocked out Portugal from the last World Cup
