Money is the debate ;)

for the most part i have amps wires and sub from the old pathy... There are 2 to choose from... Alpine SWR 1243 or DD 2500 - Go big or go home... More then likely the DD (more then likely a single sub set up as i dont want to compromise TOO much trunk space)

Have amp, Alpine MRP M1000 and a 4 Channel MRP F600.

all around Speaker upgrade and new battery as well is something i am looking at as well... Custom box depending on details can be any where from 300+ (will be colour matched to vehicle)

Amp rack will be needed as well.

all down to money money money.

I don't understand why people mod the audio in the A/C, when I turn up the music to 30 the whole car starts shaking. What is there to mod please someone explain to me?

I've seen some crazy setups in car meets and I still don't get it. Yeah I'd like to have a nice system if the stock one sucks, but it doesn't so why mod it.

Well if you think about the entire audible spectrum of sound frequencies, our stock systems actually lack the capability of reproducing the sounds that studios intended us to hear. Most people might just go straight to the super low frequencies that subs can reproduce, however listen to a great recording sitting in front of a pair of professional studio-quality speakers and you will hear the music sparkle and really come to life. Our stereos are fine and do produce loud enough volumes without too much distortion however there really is a lot of room for improvement. Volume is hardly the main concern when upgrading stereo systems.

^This. Until you have owned and experienced a nice set-up you cant understand it. In the past audio was always the first upgrade I made to my car, the AC was the first I went "performance" first. Just seeing them or hearing them as you pass by at shows is not the same thing. You need your music catalog, played on your system set to your preferences, in your car.

Sanosuke if we ever get a meet going Ill play some Pink Floyd for you on my set-up and blow your mind. You hear parts of the composition you never knew were there...high, mid, and low end. Then I can switch it to Drake and you'll still be like WTF. Then Frank Sinatra. You get the idea...

I always liked upgrading my car stereo setup myself, but I found that my car would get broken into and everything in it stolen every time I did something with aftermarket audio. My last audio upgrade was in my Jetta... that was 5 cars ago. From then on, I bought the factory option (Rockford Fosgate in my Sentra, Bose in each of my 3 Altimas and in my Z) and oddly enough, I haven't had any of those five vehicles broken into. I'm not superstitious or anything, but I noticed a pattern with that. So the factory audio options are good enough for me. If I really need to be an audiophile, then I have my mp3 player and a good set of headphones at the house to chill and relax.

I have several friends who will never go with stock audio, however, and I completely understand. You like what you like. I will admit, I can definitely have better sounding audio than my bose with $300-$500 easily. And at times I'm tempted for the Z as it is garage kept and rarely sits out in the open for someone to mess with it, but I'm still apprehensive.

The Bose system in the 3.5 is great and I don't know if I'd ever upgrade it really although car audio isn't that high on my priority list.

LOL thats too funny to me but just my opinion i would never spend any money on my sound system. I'm never in my car long enough to listen to too much music plus i don't go around blasting the music. If you are going to spend 2-3k on a sound system might as well and get a better car and better sound unit.

im always in my car and im an audio buff. I need bass which the stock system doesnt provide. No matter what kind of car it is, stock system will never full fill my needs. and saying " If you are going to spend 2-3k on a sound system might as well and get a better car and better sound unit." is also like saying " If you are going to spend 2-3k on performance parts and visual kits, might as well and get a better car with a bigger engine". not much difference. Again, to each their own right?

front page bro :)

I really like them, i was very worried that the LED would be overwhemingly bright and glow all over the place. Bui its not, its bright, yet "sharp" around the letters so it shows very well. i love it!
