You can't forget the weatherstripping melting to the window. Leaving that nasty black goo that will wear your elbow out trying to take off.

All in good humor!

Seriousley though the one thing I hate about the 350z and the new 370z is that I don't own one to complain about.

Another thing I would complain about if it happens is a 250z with i4? Why would they do that when you can get a Altima 3.5 for the same price.

And lastly A FWD Z???

Just bought a slightly used 2006 350Z for my son. I was sold 2 seconds into the road test, what a wonderful piece of machinery. The handling is superb while the is power addictive and very predictable in the highway.

I did find most of the issues already mentioned here. Does anybody know what can be done about the left side hump of the drivers seat ?? All the cars I seen (used) are falling apart in just that area where the arse rubs into while mounting or dismounting. Maybe a low profile seat cover of some kind ??

My only warning is too never test drive one, or you will end up buying one.

Im already planning on getting my own one, with the NISMO package.

oops I test drove one last week for the first time. I was comparing the Z to the s2000.I've driven the s2000 many times, but i was sold on the Z, so as soon as my 240 sells, I'm getting one! only thing I had to complain about was that the seat sits too low for me. Ii'm a small guy (5ft 5in)

Actually, the strut bar is not a safety feature. It's purpose is to keep the rear subframe rigid so the suspension reacts better under stress. I believe what you're trying to point out is a roll bar. And the z is not equipped with a stock one.

I like it better than my C5. Room is ok other than golf clubs. I'm 6' 230 and fairly comfortable. Only have 2 real knocks so far is noise and ratio 1st to 2nd.

I've got the roadster GT car. I don't like:

Noise - exhaust drone and tire noise is excessive espicially on longer trips. Maybe it's the Bridgestone tires. Anyone have recommendations for quieter performance tires?

Car is too heavy. Doesn't feel nimble.

Convertible top is not lined.

TPMS. I live in Canada. Winter tire swap means I have to get another set of sensors.

Staggered tire setup. Excessive wear.

Starting to get some squeaks and rattles 6 months into ownership.

I must say my test drives of the Z left me feeling all warm and giddy...my biggest complaint is that it's a 2 seater so I couldn't get it right now

I can't stand that either. Every time I try and get in and out of the car I always try my best to make sure I don't rub against that hump... The previous owner of my G didn't do a good job of keeping the seat looking pristine and there are marks on the left hump.

well I had my 350z re painted, replaced both window motors, but it still has axle click like crazy.

If you set the camber to oem spec it seems to make the tires wear uneven and now I sound like a lifted 4x4 with mud tires coming down the road.

for sure you can not see crap coming from behind you.

But its all worth it when the exhaust note hits around 5500 rpm.

i guess the only thing i dislike is there is no grab bar on the drivers door, just the little square hole to close the door with. i love the look of the one on the passenger door.

I have the base Z. I was a little upset about this too but I knew it before I bought the car. After reading some reviews about VSD, which is what the new Z’s come with, I’m not so upset anymore. They’re not that great. Of course they're better than having an open axle and some day I’ll put a LSD in my diff but it won’t be a VSD.

pshh open diff for the win, asides from what I hear if you want an aftermarket rear end the output shafts usually match up evenly without any fapping.

Putting in an LSD is easy. No need to swap the rear end/axles. I did both the front and rear diffs on my Jeep Wrangler (Full locker in the rear and LSD in the front. Later swapped both for ARB’s front and rear).

Why do you say open diff FTW for the Z? Why is it better? I’m no expert but I’ve read that having a posi rear end or an LSD is just extra weight to turn and reduces the HP you can put to the ground. Others will argue that it’s worth the slight HP loss to have the extra traction on the ground. So, maybe for a stock Z an open diff may be better. I would think once you start engine mods and increasing HP a posi or LSD rear diff is better.

Oh Soup, you are the greatest.

That being said, I hate the stupid questions the car brings. "Is it turbo'd?" "Do you sell drugs to pay for it?" "Your parents must've paid for it, right?" No, no, and no.

Plus, it's a dirt magnet. Someone needs to come out with a dirt death ray. When dirt comes at, death ray activates, and destruction ensues. Much cooler than washing it.

I was being saquastic for a minute, The only advantages an open diff would have would be for the benefit of the "average" commuter.
