prepare for epicness.

Hah. someone had to do it eventually..The only rules are that you have to pertain to the honesty system I suppose I'll start.

(And let's not hold back just 350's, whatever car you use so be it a V, G , s chassis, etc; visitors welcome!)

-noisy ride-reclinable seats are a joke-absurd size of strut tower cover takes up too much room to put anything in, although i still find the whole golf bag storage deal nissan left us to be quite humorous.-long drives are a drag -worst of all visibility

exterior door handles

I'm looking into buying a 350z in the next few months (Daytona Blue, Track, cheep) and I hate the giant metal handles. Has anyone painted or powder coated them, anything to make them more subtle?

Other than that... I don't own one. I guess I kind of fail.

The only thing that really bothers me is the factory paint job. Other than that I love everything about the car. Road noise doesn't bother me. I agree its not the most comfortable car to drive long trips with but it is one of the sexiest and most fun car to take long trips with. I guess the other thing that bothers me is the transmission, I haven't had to replace it yet but I know it will need to be sometime soon.

Yeah, I agree visibility is kinda low.

How tall are the rest of you?

I'm 6'0" and it gets hard to see sometimes.

Also I agree with the Z being a noisy little car.

Curb weight!is these things weren't s heavy they would eb fast! especially the track model, they should have left off some of the deadenign material to get the weight down

loss of Torque!the early cars have more torque than the newest, I know on paper the new nismo is about half a click faster int he quarter than the 03 track but it feels slower with that lack of torque

1. That cheap plastic on the handles and other interior parts What were those fcukers thinking. I would have figured the Touring and Grand Touring would have options for better looking interiors. So many people love the outside of my car and then they see the cheap plastic inside an they nearly kill themselves laughing

2. Ride is tough at time but I will trade off for the handling.

3. Why no turbo in the Grand Touring it has everything else.

4. Worst of all visibility (were was this fcuking car car test driven at?)

you think the Z interior is cheezy, check otu a ford GT, also look at their engine bay, you spend $100k on a car taht looks like any other ford

i wish the z had more headroom. I have the seat all the way back and titled back as far as it will go, but on some bumps i still hit my head. Visibility sux, but its worth dealing with for the drive.

There actually plastic, i have have my old one snapped in half to even prove it, its just the outer coat of paint which gives it that metallic look..imo i think they look great.

The only thing I don't like about my Z is the rear bumper. I am talking about the rear lower area between the exhausts. Other Nissans like the Murano had a lower finisher to clean up the end. If they had it on the Z....it would have been noice.

I'm so sorry guys... I think the Z is made for short people like me. I have no problem with headroom, legroom, and visibility... I actually love how you can see the person behind you from the side mirrors since you cant see their faces through the rearview. And ride comfortability and noise.... you're driving a sports car! it's not really meant to be quiet or super comfortable. it also depends on your tires... you have thinner and wider tires which tends to make more noise.

Visibility and transmission noise are my only issues. Rchboy, how tall are you? I reading about how you are having issues with bumping your head. I let my buddy drive and he is 6'4 and has no issues with bumping his head.

The visibility problem your all having could just be some fine adjustments to your mirrors.... I have no problem seeing out of the car. The rear strut bar covering is big, but maybe you should pull the plastic to see whats under there and you'll see why its big.The plastic interior is not as cheap as many many other cars out there... infact the cup holder is the only thing i think that is a little cheap. The door handles i think look good and are pretty well thought out, if they were metal it would be heavier for sure.I like a lot about this car, but i do agree there are a lot of noises the car makes and road noise is annoying.

Oh Ryan you have misunderstood it isn't that we cant see out of the car I believe it is the blind spots. Were I sit in the car the pillar running up to the left of driver and the rear view mirror create a blind spot at night for me personally. And also the small windows on the side when people leave the seat in a certain position it creates another blind spot. The plastic may not be cheap but looks cheap, I don't like that in a $40k car, get my drift. And the door handle I personally think they should have been brushed aluminum. And yes there is alot I love about this car but I wonder sometimes when they develop things if they let average people instead of pros drive these to see what the people who will actuallly buy these cars think.

I'm 6'1 but my torso is longer than my legs which doesnt give me much headroom in anything fun to drive . I just hope i never get in an accident, i dont think it would have a happy ending.

Z- Only has 2 seats.

Z and G, too much chassis flex.

Noisy when in Z, or G with rear seat folded down.

Easily the crappiest paint I have ever had on a car. Too soft, and gets chipped too easily.

The "dot matrix?" on the windows is a terrible idea. Makes tinting a PITA. My tint installer got the tint to stick without bubbling or falling off though.

Dead pedal is too low. Should have been taller from the factory.

Sunglasses holder is too small.

Steering wheel controls should be illuminated.

Orange lights in the dash. Red or blue would have been nicer.

Dipstick location. Must have been designed by a window licker.

12v power points. At least one should stay powered up when car is shut off.

Excessive weight. It's like a Geisha. You don't know how damn big she is, untill the dress comes off.

Engine shouldn't need a plenum spacer.

Shouldn't need a grounding kit either.

Stereo view "washes out" in the sunshine.

VDC button should be more easily accessable. Just as well, it should stay off when you turn the car off. When you want it on, turn it on.

Tire wear.

No MP3 player connection.

That's a long page of complaining, but, I wouldn't trade this car for many others.

Aw Beanie you should have read your review before you bought the car.

Mezz you know I am messing with you no need for explanation, I knew what you meant just making you add some gibberish to the conversation.

For me, it's probably the lack of useable luggage space.

The soft paint is an issue too, but more of a minor annoyance. If I stop taking it to the track, I'll have to repaint it.

Its only been 3 weeks or so, but here it goes:

Visibility & blind spots. No fixing this.

door sill is to high to put arm on.

The road noise, but that is easily fixed by a better sound system and smaller wheels & tires with taller more flexible sidewalls. But that defeats the purpose of the Zs handling.

The rear pocket on the tunnel keeps opening with the slighted touch of the elbow when shifting. Tape is an easy fix.

You should see my critique of a Mustang. I don't know if NICO's servers can hold that many pages.

If I did a "what do you like about your Z/G" it would be an extremely long article.

Is there really no fixing this? I was thinking of getting one of those small round 360degree mirrors and put it on my sideview mirror. Has anyone tried this? Besides the fact it would look dumb, I thought it might fix the problem.

It is almost claustrophobic inside. It is a fun car to drive, no doubt, I'm just glad I didn't have to drive it everyday.

The visibility was also terrible.

Sometimes if i take a "fun" turn one of my drinks will spill over and you have to do that rather awkward hand crane to reach and fix it.

I love the steering wheel though, its such a perfect size, next to the evo IX's steering diameter it has got great comfort. Goes for the G coupe as well, which i test drove with a friend a few days ago, it was a 6spd.
