It was a PITA. Block sand everything with 600, then 1000 and then 1500 grit. Epoxy prime, re-sand and then color paint and clear coat.Larz wrote:Dean, mate - you know better than to just tease with a great pic and not tell us clearly how you did that ! LOL
Seriously though, did you just use a random orbital and some plastic or metal polish to get it that smooth?

good work...I think this is the first M35x dyno results I've seen. Others have done the data log method. thanks for sharing. As far as the NWP throttle body upgrade, did you have any issues when fitting the Injen intake tube back on? Did the rubber connector hose fit or did you have to change it for a larger diameter? I've been hesitant on going with a larger TB because of possible fitment issue with the intake tube... do you have any pix as well? thanks in advance....Divindra wrote:

Is the red before and green after or is it just two different plots while they were working? If that is the difference do you TRULY feel a difference in the pickup and power?Divindra wrote:

When the fan issue came up, I got a letter from Infiniti saying that most fans would be fine and they were extending the warranty instead of replacing fans just to make sure that all defective fans were fixed under warranty. The letter came with a sticker to add to the warranty booklet making note of this.06M4.5 wrote:Fans had a recall and given extended warranty when re place by dealer.
Fits perfect. I will take pics tomorrow for sure. Sorry for the delayed response.CPJ LB wrote:good work...I think this is the first M35x dyno results I've seen. That red is baseline of all the mods before the tune and the green represents all mods including the tune.TDot wrote:Is the red before and green after or is it just two different plots while they were working? Interested to see how this works out...svard75 wrote:Picked up one of these http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wifi-Mir ... 96878.html
Will be installing the DVD/NAV bypass hack and this little box this weekend. It's supposed to be capable of displaying your cell phones screen on the AUX input. Will do a complete photo writeup. The Mirabox cost me $105USD with DHL shipping. This version contains a manual mode button to toggle between airplay and miracast. There is a new version out there that has automatic switching. It's neat because it acts like a wifi relay using your cell phone so people in your car can surf and enjoy playing games on the big screen. We shall see...
here are some pix and the eBay link. it's a quick fix for those of you that have a worn steering wheel.... or who want a thicker feel to the steering wheel. no sewing involved, just slips over OE steering wheel.CPJ LB wrote:added a steering wheel cover that slips over the OE steering wheel. the upper portion of the steering wheel was wearing down and fading, so instead of getting the steering wheel re-wrapped I went with a quick fix. the steering wheel now has a thicker feel to it - kinda like my old E class.
I picked up the steering wheel cover on eBay for $26 bucks...not bad investment. there are other steering wheel covers that you can sew together, but I didn't feel like spending the extra money and having to sew![]()
I'll try and take some pix today and post later....as well as find the eBay link....
