Also, thanks to the fine guys over at Accuair, i was able to get the touchpad + other maintenance items installed.
Here is where i mounted the touchpad. Sadly the thing wont close buts its stable and solid and out of the way.

Does your car still run well? I heard messing with the throttle body is bad news, as if you touch the plate it will mess up the calibration, and that the plate inside is supposed to be covered with a coating of some kind that is a bit gummy.pedsemdoc wrote:2. Cleaned throttle body, man there was a lot of gunk on it
Yeah, definitely remembered a thread some time ago about that...kinda mixed experiences - some had no issues and they were rough, others had issues even after being very cautious...don't remember exactly what all the tips/warnings people had to say about itEniGmA1987 wrote:I heard messing with the throttle body is bad news, as if you touch the plate it will mess up the calibration, and that the plate inside is supposed to be covered with a coating of some kind that is a bit gummy.
Didn't notice any coating on the inside part of the plate...EniGmA1987 wrote:Does your car still run well? I dipped my 06 M45 a couple years ago to make some damage less visible since I wasn't about to pay to fix it on a 150K+ mile car. I didn't do it myself, and the guy I had do it didn't do a great job by any means. I peeled in on July 4th because it was coming up on the roof where it was loose from the beginning. There was about a quarter-inch by two-inch spot where it was up, and that was with wind blowing under it for 10K miles. I never washed the car while it was dipped, though, and I was parked in a garage for most of that year. I'd say it'll last a pretty long time, but YMMV.geojaxon wrote:Over the weekend I decided to try to mitigate the scraps I had on the front bumper from the previous owner. There was a pretty bad scrape on each side of the front bumper. My M45 has a black border around most of the car just not the front bumper so I tried to carry that on to the front bumper and blacked it out with some of that plastic-dip stuff. It looks pretty good, but I am interested to see how long it lasts before I have to peal and re-apply. What do you guys think?
The thing about PlastiDip is applying it evenly and applying enough coats. I dipped my grille. Like your front bumper, it must withstand the direct head-on pressures of high winds, pelting rain, and other challenges whilst driving at high speeds.geojaxon wrote:Over the weekend I decided to try to mitigate the scraps I had on the front bumper from the previous owner. Just curious. Did you notice less performance from the Michelin touring tires Vs the Conti high performance? Or did they actually wear out after just 27k miles? I'm testing the Hankook Ventus S1noble2 ultra high performance in the 255/45 size. So far, I'm surprisingly impressed but I'm still under 20k miles so the final verdict on them is yet to come.IlyaKol wrote:Stock piled some parts for this weekend:
1) New Continental ExtremeContact DWS XL's...had two sets of DWS (non-XL) before switching to the Michelin Primacy MXM4's this time. Time to switch those out after 27kmi.
2) New Brakemotive Brake Kit
3) Waiting on TollBoothWilly's under tray for test fitment on M35x
Still need:
1) Driver side wheel well liner
2) Various clips and buttons for front end
3) New Y-Pipe
