alright now to the update. since we last let off, i got a little busy with work, but still managed to make some decent progress in the time i had. at the time of the last update i had the half of the body harness that runs through the engine bay completely out as well as just about everything else under the hood. the next step was sanding it and prepping for paint. i then decided to removed the wipers and the surrounding vents to check for rust and clean out. i was happy to see they were mint in there

with the front fenders and wheels off. i removed the brakes in preparation for the q45 gear to go on and completely sprayed the wheel wheels and surrounding areas with rubberized undercoating. then it was time to primer.i wanted to make sure i hit up everything that was red. its a big pet peeve of mine to see a car repainted and still see its original color in the bay and jambs.

on a quick side not, i grabbed a small can of duplicolor flash red for the primered rocker panel area. i figured any shade of red would stand out less then primer. i gotta say though, that matched pretty nicely. what do you think?

for color i went with semi gloss black again, just like i painted the last one. no matter what color the car, a black engine bay looks nice. im not entirely done but i just need to touch up an area and cut the holes for the IC. sorry for the pics some of them are kinda dark.

after the painting, the interior part of body harness came out along with all the interior pieces except the front carpet since they needed to be out for the wiring removal. hmmm, thats a clean zenki carpet

heres everything out with the wiring all removed as wellon the agenda for tomorrow is installation of a new body harness (after its removed from diddy's car) as well as the conversion to power options and possibly rubberizing the underside and replacing the bmc with my z31 piece. i'll update tomorrow when i get some work done with the help of mrgreeneyes and didderson.

now for your enjoyment, heres a couple random shots of both s13s

Now thats some progress.... Are you swapping over everything? full aero? if not I want the rear valence! I painted my old sideskirts black and i think it would look good if i either throw a rear valence on the back or put my old bumper back on and paint it.... so we'll see what happens. Can't wait to see more. Are you going to paint this one black as well?

Any extra parts come with the car or just rolling chassi? I'm just about done with my swap/wire tuck should have mine fired up once I find the transmission wiring harness diagram do you have any idea where a simplified one is online? Haven't gone looking through the bible yet... oh i mean the manual

i shall be painting my bay as well. most likely black. not sure though, might go with something off the wall.

not bad though.

ive noticed that type x aero always looks better with non-USDM OE alloys.

yeah ive considered the elites, but i wanted to go with something in a dark bronze like the grids. the elites are to light of a gold, and im not sure if i want to go with black wheels. besides, my car will probably get painted daytona blue since i have the paint already and i dont want my car to look like a copy of his (even though i had the paint first and suggested that color to him )

uploading pics now!!
