hmm you've never come off as a d!ck before so maybe this is out of context but thats what it seems like. i'm not trying to rationalize anything. i'm merely stating that i did do some research before jumping in feet first. the good reviews i found obviously don't reflect what i've dealt with from the company and therefore i wil no longer deal with them again. trying to get a price including shipping on a pbm right now. pbm is $200 plus shipping and out of stock but right now on frsport koyos are $300 and free shipping.

hmm i see that. no problem i'll just switch the current pics over to my other photobucket account

YEP. People have beat the piss out of MB/Atech wheels with no issues. Tried, true, and affordable.

so lets compare. cx racing. they make gray market parts. they are proven to fit terribly, not perform as anticipated/claimed, and are so rarely even purchased that there is 1 known turbo kit of theirs to have worked, to the best of my knowledge, and thats their "shop" car... ooooh wait. their 240sx drift car doesnt have their turbo kit on it yet... "but they plan to install it"

why do you attack me? if you want to see my parts list, and that includes NO products from CX racing, the ONE company in question at the moment, id be glad to show you all the proven parts installed on my car

and i've had no problem with you or your car.... i rather like it actually.

jeff (wc) and i have already had a convo about this in real life... and he shares my sentiments on CX Racing now, as i had originally warned him of the terrible reputation/quality of them

true, but i don't remember a warning on the rad, but that could just mean i don't remember. i didn't have my hopes up for it in the first place but i did expect more then this lol. i def appreciate any advice and incite, especially from the local guys that know their stuff (MGE) but i put more weight in testimonials from those with first hand experience (not always as good of a plan as it sounds). i know you'll take no offense to this keegan, but its like when you and doug tried to talk me out of red run. while i'll admit the last project of mine looked terrible i've had more first hand experience that was positive then negative. my fc, the wife's teg, my brother's camaro and my dad's friend had them do the exhaust on his 69 camaro rs/ss, so i felt good in trusting them this time. they def didn't let me down (which i'll have pics of soon). i will say that i definitely feel less likely to trust lesser known companies now

MGE I dont think it was an attack, perhaps a question or observation?

SOMEONE has to try out these products right? How else would we know if they are truly crap or not? WC Im sorry to here about your radiator but at least now [hopefully] people will know not to buy the products.

i literally facepalmed the moment you told me you planned to purchase a CX Racing radiator. i warned ya then, but its totally beside the fact. it is/was your build, and always will be.

i may not have tried all poop brands to tell you personally that they suck, but Ksports... ugh... thats done and over with. but i KNOW i dont want any godspeed coilovers or any SS autochrome gray market crap.

im glad you got to make a $150 mistake, unlike my old hatch's $850 Ksports with s***ty "intense power" RUCAS. btw, rucas ripped apart at the welds, heims seized in 2 months. ksport coils blew in 3 months time of daily driving.

I am in no way attacking you. Its just that you are talking about CX Racing which is low quality and MB Motoring doesn't fall behind that category. I do not have any CX Racing products so do't start saying I'm defending it in any way. Hell I too am looking to get MB wheels but I don't talk ish about other peoples stuff.

I too can show you my car and all the parts which are NAME Brand. You will not find one knockoff part either. I actually love your build man, your car is looking great so I really hope for no hard feelings or anything.

yeah my bad dude, i woke up for it and everything, i just felt terrible. let me know if you do need any help though. heres the update.

for starters heres some nice pics i took of the engine, before i get on to the bad newsand i don't think i posted pics but i got the intake pipe and mafs on. so this is pretty much a finished engine bay, i have closer to complete pics later

and now on the the long awaited radiator pics.awesome, right?

then i mounted up the washer fluid tank and ran the line for itand i didn't run that long ugly neck, i capped it off at the tank instead

new o2 sensor, only $40 and its completely plug and play

next up i got some leds in for my birthday. they are fantastic, i just have to exchange a couple since i didn't know what smt meant lol.heres the trunk lightand then just for fun i threw a red bulb in there

and heres the bumper lights. you're used to seeing something like this from regular bulbs

well heres the after led shot

and course i need to protect a few lines from heat since they will be in the near vicinity of the turbo. turbo line

i also taped up the line going from the block to the vc, and oil drain tube and keegan wrapped the part of the line going to the catch can that will be near the turbo

and keegan did a little detail work in the bay and secured some grounds. here you can see one going behind the fuel pressure gauge

fender wires secured for the last time

and i mocked up the fender, it just needs sprayed again cuz my step brother in law scratched it up

while my hands were tied a little i did some audio stuff. wired up the component speakers. here i was chasing wires through the door harness

and heres the crossover boxes as i was wiring em up

and i'm pretty pleased with where i decided to mount em

and the speakers waiting to be installed

and the last audio thing, i started cutting out the speaker mounting plates

to prevent hot air from being blasted at the wires, i cut off the nipples for ac and blocked it off

keegan was nice enough to work some magic with an s14 vss plug that had 1/4 inch of wire sticking out

and on friday i rented a car dolly and towed the car to get the exhaust finished. so i got it ready to go and pushed out of the garage. heres the hole where my car used to be.

we moved to the other side of the garage where it would be slightly more accessible when it was time to tow it but i didnt want it to sit outside since it was pouring. here it is as i worked on a few last minute things on the other side

thats all the pics for now but i just put more batteries in my camera so i'll snap some of the exhaust work and pics of the car in its new home as well as what else i've been up to.

thanks i'll need luck. keegan is coming over on weds to help diagnose and get to the bottom of the issue and determine is the fp is still good or not. at this point it looks like i'll be ordering a koyo 53mm nflow rad, walbro 255lph fuel pump and a nismo type a fuel pressure regulator next month. this wouldn't be a problem if i still had my job . but thats why the purchase has to wait til like the 7th of next month cuz thats when i get paid from my crummy night job.

just real quick before i go to bed i snapped a few pics of out in the garage. i wasnt thinking and forgot exhaust shots so those will come tomorrow.

i was in the process of wiring up my hids when i opened the case for my soldering gun and found the solder itself wasn't in there. so i decided to clean and organize everything before going any farther. heres the hids just sitting out though

the housings have that ricey spot for a "city light"

i found a grommet in my box that fit but to blend in a little better i painted em silver

looks pretty good imo

heres where the ballast will be mounted and it will be in the same location for the other side

heres the view when you walk out in to the garage

heres all my stuff that needs organized (theres more in my car too)the shelves are cleaned out and partially filled with my stuff

heres the fender that needs a little tlc

and my father in law picked up one of these retractable reels for me

and the best part3 12 packs of soda lol. all for $11. giant ftw.

more pics and work tomorrow. i plan on cleaning the garage in the morning then making some progress. until keegan comes over on wednesday to help diagnose my non starting issue i'm gonna focus on the interior and body. i hope to get most of the interior in and the front end on the car.

i will let you know about the cutoff as soon as i get em in. the speakers have been in storage for like a year. keegan got em for me at cost when he was a manager at circuit city. i think they sell for 200 or 250 and i got em for $75.

thanks for taking the time to go through my insanely long thread. the car will be on the road no later then the first week of next months due to the unexpected amount of parts i need to buy again

do work son! Nice update, looks like you're on the downhill

just get that radiator welded, it would be cheaper then getting a new koyo and it will most likely hold up for a good while.
