just get that radiator welded, it would be cheaper then getting a new koyo and it will most likely hold up for a good while.
i thought about it, but after taking a good look at the rad, its actually leaking from the middle of the core and dripping down the front and the back.

U know you can get the car running and do HID's later right? You know you can forget about the paint and get it driving right now right? Hell, I still haven't really attempted to fix any dents...IDK man u always throw in extra work for urself which cuts ur finances down and slows the build even more. Like now you'll have to wait even longer for injectors and a tune. IDK even if u had the lights previously, still improper planning imo. Don't mean to rag but I just did so i'ma hit post.

no prob, i understand the confusion but you might understand better when i explain it. the hids and leds were birthday presents. i shelled out no money for them period. respraying the fender will cost nothing and will take very little time since it's off the car. its actually drying right now. i like to do my painting first then work on other things as its drying. ignoring those things won't get the car running right now. what i need now is the funds for a new rad, fpr and most likely a new fp. i've been filling out applications and searching for a job for a month now and nothing besides finding a job will help fund the parts i need. since losing my job i haven't gone out and purchased anything that wasn't necessary to get the car running. i won't have the money for the new parts til the first week of next month since that's when i get paid from my crappy night job. plus even from the time i order the parts i'll still have to wait a week or so for them to arrive. so the way i see it, i can either do nothing while waiting for parts needed to get the car running or i can tie up other loose ends that don't cost me any money

Not having a job is really tough, I gave up a great solid job to move out to LA and money has never been tighter because I have no job and I am living on my own now. I feel ya on trying to find a job because its a real pain in the a**, Ive spent probably 6hrs/day for the past 3 weeks applying for jobs, dropping off applications, talking to managers, and wasting interviews. Its really hard, puting the project on the back burner cant hurt you either...I mean I know its important and all but bills/family etc come first.

That being said, good luck WC. Keep working your a** off because we're all watching & waiting, no matter how long it takes, to see this project finished.

thanks for the vote of confidence. money isn't tight to the point where the project has to stop, it's just slowed down. bills and all essentials are covered of course. there just isn't as much extra as there was before

just a quick update before i head out. heres the long awaited red run exhaust pics. i had them finish the pbm cobra from the flex pipe up to the turbo itself

and they also properly clocked the flanges on the "cat"

finished the hids in no time. heres a comparison shot, and the best part is the driver side headlight i have in is a silverstar, which look great compared to most other sealed beams but the hids put it to shame

i can't show cut off very well cuz of no flat surface in front of the car but here you can see the output difference

and i need to snap an output shot with both hids in, the pic i took ended up green for some reason

but heres my other pic of both in

i'll have more tomorrow.

oh yeah? how much? cuz that would be a big help. i'll know by today if the fp is indeed shot

oh doug, you're precious. no exhaust shop is going to use stainless steel wire when welding stainless steel. thats why the welds show rust cuz its regular steel wire

not much to update tonight got some little stuff done in the evening. before that keegan came over to check my screwy wiring. apparently the pump is fine but was reading voltage when the key was off. it seems fine now but the odd thing was keegan didn't change anything, the same wires were put back together and its behaving at least for the time being. its charging overnight right now and i'll try and start it tomorrow. it actually fired up today after keegan left after i let it prime for awhile. and i think with a full charge the car will be able to maintain running

Wow Congrat's man haven't had the time lately to run through your build but I just read the last couple pages and I must say it's coming along very nicely! I finally got a 3 car garage and the vert moved over there but some one stole my camera I haven't really updated my shiz in a while

Where did you find those headlights @? I want a set for the vert till I swap out the front end

I thought you had a cheaper rad, I think you said you were using a CX in another tread somewhere.

Money has been iff, and work has been hectic. I need to get a side mounted oil relocation block. And then get the car back together. I am planning on getting a lot done this weekend. I have been neglecting it.

Jeff did you go with a regular koyo, or one of the multi pass ones?

I just saw your component speaker crossover location. While it's a good hiding place for them, it's not the ideal location. The crossovers need to be as close to the speakers as possible. I'd move them if I were you, but that's just me. I have this old pic, but it shows you where my crossover is mounted. Look in the door pocket.

I don't put them in the door (like a lot of shops will do) bc of the moisture that can build up in there. They are pretty well shielded from rain when opening the doors bc the arms rest portion extends out enough to keep them pretty well covered.

yeah i thought about it and kinda wondered as well, but when i asked keegan he said they'd be fine where they're at. i like the fact that they're easy to get to if i need to get at em for anything. for the reasons you mentioned, i didn't want to stick em in the door and the other place i thought was under the dash but it'd be kinda a pain to get at. idk maybe keegan will pop in and explain his take on this
