Thanks for the info. I'm waiting to hear from some different folks with regards to other modifications I want to make, understanding that the car is new so they'll need measurements for some stuff, and I'll just have to wait for others. That said, the mirrors, tints and foglights will be the first stage of my Versa SL project...

35% tint looks disappointing from the photo... Maybe it's just the lighting or the angle. I sure hope so, as otherwise I'd do better to leave it alone.

Sadly, not really a lighting trick. If you're looking straight on at a window during daylight, you can see clear through the other side.

Though I do like the look better than no tint at all, and I just sat in my car and ate lunch for the first time since I got the tint, and I have to say it makes the interior of the car heat up MUCH more slowly. Didn't have to turn on the A/C. Probably didn't need to crack the windows, but did so anyway out of habit.

Greetings. I may buy a Versa today or this weekend if I can find one, base model, and would be interested in your rims. Let me know if and when they are available. Thanks.

I noticed where you were from and thought I would tell you to check Central Carolina Nissan in Sanford for your vehicle. They did me right and they are a 2 1/2 drive from me. They were the only ones that had one like I wanted though.

Checking in now but got it 2 weeks ago. silver SL with CVT, convenience package and mudd flaps. Wanted ABS and magnetic grey but didn't wantto wait. Traded in my a4, after thinking long and hard. So far very happy with my decision.

HELLO:

Joe here checking in from California Maryland, I just picked her up this past Wednesday and I am loving it.

Purchasing StoryAfter going up to one dealer to purchase her and being told they would hold it for me I was on my way. So half way up there or 1 hour into the 1 hour 45 minute drive the sales guy called my cell and said they just sold it . He said he would find another one using the dealer swap. I get up there and meet the "little girl" that just picked up “my” Versa. Then after she leaves as I compose myself he tells me that she can't drive a stick and her mom had to drive it home. Again

Long story short the one I wanted (Super Black / Beige) was no where to be found except a day or two away in Hampton VA or PA. Telling him I’d think about it, I left there and went to another Nissan dealer that had one from calling ahead before. Those two dealers didn’t play well and not all do dealer swaps even though they are both Nissan dealers. Nice huh??

So I role in the parking lot and I see three people looking at it. I grabbed the first salesmen I seen and said "Hi, I have the money, I want it, let’s go". Looking dumbfounded he said ok let me get the stock number I said I already got it but go and double check. So my g/f said do you want to test drive it and I said nope. She laughed then said let me go over and lick the door handle (from VW commercial) trying not to laugh so hard I said go ahead baby but she never did, she always chimes in at the right moment lol. We go inside and in the meantime I am trying to hurry him up as the other people and sales guy are making there way to the door and my sales guy said do you want me to put a "Sold" sign in it and I said sure. He met the other people and told the sales guy as they were walking in that it was sold.

The look on there faces.....priceless.

I was not leaving without a car. There is no mark-up, no rebate, and no negotiation so I had zero to lose except another Versa in a 3 hour period.

Glad I have her and I am happy to be on this forum. Nissan all the way!!!

Thanks!

Sometime in November I plan to address the tires, and I'm looking at a company that does custom interiors. Will let you all know how things work out...
hey toby where did you get the floor mats from weather tech? i looked online but can't find anything. i wanted something more durable than regular carpet floor mats (which are also ridiculously overpriced).

Just signed a few days ago, ordered from the factory. Hopefully taking delivery in early November:

actually traded my giant Expolrer SUV to get my versa and i couldn't be happier.. someone on this message board said they might put 16's as tira and wheel to customize it. I just think the 15's as the base model's wheels are too dull, and me having the Super Black color would think a little tint will also do it some good, and also replacing those fake fog lights with real ones. What do y'all think of a top rear spoiler in addition to the tint and 16's? my friend may also give me his 2 10's for maximum sound exp. I may have to wait till my next tax return though to do all this customization.

I'm in Australia and i'm glad to finally find a forum for the Versa (Tiida in Aus). About 2 months ago i got mine.

2006 Tiida Q HatchSlate Grey4sp AutoQ comes standard with:- "leather" sporty interior- rear spoiler- 15" alloys- fog lights- curtain air bags and ABS brakes- 6 speaker cd player (no mp3 or stacker ) but still pumps pretty hard!

then i got the windows tinted darkest legal. (check the mods discussion for my mod plans and some awesome pics!)

i paid $22,000 AUD drive away (roughly $16500 US)

I took delivery of my silver Versa SL w/ CVT this evening. I took a few pictures of the car. More to follow in the near future. Thus far, I'm quite pleased with the purchase. All of my pictures are available here.

Rochester NY. Just ordered my Versa form Vision Nissan. Found out that invoice price has gone up.So 14,105 is now 14,705 for the Versa S and thats if you can find one anywhere. I spent 30 minutes with the Internet manager calling around. Everywhere was sold out. Eventually found one in PA and they did a dealer swap with the only SL they had left.Lucky for me at the old price. Not my first color, but can't wait till Friday to pick it up.

1.8S6sp ManPower Package,Splash Guards and Mats.Sapphire Blue$14,929 OUT THE DOOR! and thats with new plates and 8% tax.

Great dealer http://www.thatsmyvision.com They have a $350.00 rebate online that you print out and they honored it on my Versa.Plus no strings attached free oil changes for life.

Hi,

Just purchased a Silver Versa S with the Power Package and ABS for14250 + tax and title! It should be here in a few days and I can't wait!

In the Pittsburgh, PA area there aren't a whole lot of Versa's to choose from- mine is coming in from Ohio.

I haven't seen any around in Calvert/St. Mary's my neck of the woods.

I had to go to Herb Gordon (sold it while driving up to get it) then Sheehy in Glen Burnie. Waldorf was out and mine was on the lot 2 days....

I picked up my license plates last Friday, and saw them doing a PDI on one of two Versas they had just received that afternoon.

I went back again on Tuesday to have my mud guards installed, and my sales guy was there. I talked with him about the popularity of the Versa, and he noted that both of the Versas they took in on Friday afternoon were sold by Saturday before noon. And one was an S automatic, which at least as far as the forum members go, is the least popular model.

Just found this group been over on the Edmonds board..

Leased my 07 Versa HA on 7-9-06 SL, CVT and Convience package, my net Cap was $16,500, this included tinted windows (even the front windows, its legal here in AZ) lexon door edge gaurds, and paint protection) I didn't think I got a bad deal on a car that was on the lot less then 12 hrs and was the first SL in the city of PHX.

I love the car, but am NOT happy with the mileage I have been getting with the car.

I just dumped my Ford Focus in favor of a white S with pwr package & splash guards (?). The day I was testing it, I told myself I needed a 'sign'. Well they hadn't fully prepped it yet and the shipping label was still in the windshield. When I looked down and saw that she was made on my birthday, I knew it was destiny hah hah... The best small car I have driven or had to be honest!
