I bought my 2nd Nissan over the weekend.

The 1st is an Xterra http://www.pbase.com/sms/xterra

The 2nd, a Silver Versa HB S, 6-speed with power package. $13,205 +tax out the door. $700 below sticker.1st one sold at Littleton Nissan.

I did quite a bit of modding on the Xterra for offroading, but don't plan on much for the Versa. Basically a daily driver to save mileage on my offroad toy.

Nice. Is your Xterra supercharged? I LOVE those little things. They're the best real body-on-frame SUV ever made. If I had the extra money, I'd have a beefed-up supercharged Xterra and spend every weekend in Moab.

Congrats on the Versa as well.

And once again, welcome to all the new members! It's great to see so many of you finding your way here.

2007 Versa SL HBBrilliant Silver6 speedFloor MatsConvience Package (but I don't know yet if my phone will work with it)

$15,905 (sticker) + tag tsfr & title (no tax *)

* I traded my 2004 Titan for this sweet little ride ! Got more for the Titan than the cost of the car, so no tax.

Waiting on dealer to get the splash guards and just made an appointment to get the windows tinted. Mom is buying one too (if they can ever find it !) as well as a friend of ours (again.... if they can find one).

15k plus tax

Dealer had 5 on the lot so far, all black or silver. I wanted grey or one of the blues, but this was the only 6MT they planned on getting for a WHILE. Love it so far. I'm used to a little more power, but then I was also getting ~14mpg so . . . .

I noticed you're in the Seattle area from another post... which dealership is your "local" one? I picked mine up from Nissan of the Eastside.

And now for my car's intro...

Versa 1.8 SL 6-speedBlue OnyxCharcoal interior (mmm!)Convenience packageFloor matsMud guards (coming soon)

For those keeping track, that makes it a $15,905 sticker price, and no second sticker games for me.

And, of course, I had to go out and buy myself a Bluetooth phone, naturally.

Hi Ever Victorious,

I've been mucking around with three dealerships including the Eastside one. The other two are Performance Nissan in Everett and Campbell-Nelson Nissan in Edmonds. Thought about working up the one in Burien but it's just too dang far away from me.

I worked with Sean at Nissan Eastside and actually did my test-drive there in a 1.8 SL CVT a couple days after they were dropped the first one so basically it's exactly the same as yours but with the CVT instead. Eastside is the same dealership which offered me $400 off MSRP to get rid of the one I test-drove. At this point, paying MSRP and no second-sticker is considered a very good deal.

GSM at Eastside told me that first batches of Versa's they're getting for the next couple months won't get second stickered. Once more of the options that are slated for "Late Fall" starts becomning available, I wouldn't be surprised if they started to second-sticker like the Honda Fit.

Congratulations on your Versa! That Blue Onyx would of been my 2nd color choice pick and Sean tried to sell that one to me but I didn't want a Versa in the 6MT.

Cheers,Kermee

I'd ask you not to deal with Performance Nissan. I live 3 miles from them, but there is a VERY good reason I didn't even bother going there for the test drive. I've tried to buy cars from them before, and they are the biggest sheisters I have ever dealt with. They have yanked *3* different deals out from under me because, in order to negotiate terms that the customers like (and won't shop around elsewhere for), they often times write you up for interest rates that the bank will not qualify you for.

Worse yet, they ALSO, on one of the deals, sold my trade immediately after I closed the deal, and when they pulled the deal 3 days later I had no car!

Nissan of the Eastside was good to deal with, and though I have no personal dealings with Campbell-Nelson, I know they are one of the highest rated dealerships. (Only reason I didn't go to C/N was because Eastside had the exact car I wanted, in stock.)

I got my Versa yesterday. SL with CVT and floor mats, magnetic grey. Paid 15, 750.00 before tax and registration (invoice is 15, 571, and MSRP 16.205). If you live near the Baltimore-Washington, my advice –go to Sheehy Nissan, and stay away from Nissan Nationwide (I had a chance to speak with their sales manager-one of the most nasty and snobbish person I ‘v ever met in my life).

I have been waiting to 'check in' for months now. Seriously. First I was dreaming about the end of May - for a little Versa in the spring time. Then I settled for the end of June - for a little Versa in the summer time. Then I settled again for "end of July max"......Now I am still waiting - this time for "another week or so". Am I losing it? I am entirely jealous everytime I see a Versa on the streets - especially since some of those people who are driving it now didn't even know of its existence a few months ago, let alone have a deposit on it.

Maybe you should check Dealer Parts Dept again. I ordered Mud Guards (Flaps) last Friday. Got a call this morning that they have arrived ready to be picked up. Cost $37.50 per set, front and back. Didn't see what else they had available to order as this is what I want now.

THANKS FOR THE POST RE:SPLASH GUARDS. I ORDERED THEM FROM LOCAL DEALER YESTERDAY AND HE SAID THAT THE OTHER STUFF THAT I AM LOOKING FOR SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM NISSAN IN ABOUT 2-6 WEEKS. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A PART NUMBER FOR A KIT FOR THE FOGLIGHTS? THE LOCAL PARTSMAN COULD GIVE ME NUMBERS FOR EACH PART SEPERATLY BUT NOT AS A KIT. I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THE FOGLIGHTS ON MY '03 ALTIMA WHEN I PUT THEM ON AND SOMEBODY ON A POST GAVE ME A PART NUMBER FOR THE WHOLE KIT (LAMPS,SWITCH,RELAY) AND THE COST FOR THE KIT WAS ABOUT 1/2 OF THE PIECES SOLD SEPERATELY.

canadian nissan dealers atleast the ones in toronto were very nice to me when i bought the car. at first i didnt tell them i was gonna buy one cause they would use it against me and not bargain. Fortunately none of the canadian dealerships are charging 1 penny above msrp price and if you go to the nissan dealership in your neighbourhood they give you free car floor mats.

The dealer that i went to actually had an amazing deal on altima's, they were selling brand new altimas for 21,000 with frieght and everything but the catch is they are altimas with refurbished engines that replaced the series of altima engines that were recalled due to engine fire. Anyhow, i saw the one show versa sl saphire blue that they had and i was amazed. All the customers in the dealership and those walking through the door were circling around the versa and all the other cars were completely ignored. I sat in the front seat, put my hands on the steering wheel and thats when i decided to buy the car.

Oh yeah, about the bargaining, i ended up getting free oil changes and maintenance checkups for 2 years. SL Versa, CVT, Technology Package (upgraded speakers, sub, 6 disc cd)Black exterior, Black interior21,000 canadian, or roughly 18,000 US.

Peace

Yes, the Versa is also called Tiida outside the NA market.

And this is about the normal time of year for everything to become a 2007. You want an oddity? Try the 2007 Dodge Caliber, which was released back in... uh... February I think?

Hello everyone,

I found this site on my journey for information on the new Versa. I saw it and I have to get one. I put the deposit down yesterday and the dealership is hunting a black 1.8 w/CVT model for me. I presently have a 2005 black Altima 2.5 and a 2005 black Quest. In the past I have owned a 1998 Quest, a 1993 Altima for 11 years, and a 1993 Sentra.

Hi Everyone!

I bought my Versa SL last Thursday... and I LOVE IT!!

Mine is the SL version with the CVT transmission which I really enjoy. I'm admittedly, not a small car lover. My last small car was a Mazda RX7 in 1984! My Versa has certainly changed my mind about that!

Originally, I was buying this "economy" car to go back and forth to school and clinicals (last year of RN program) and then ,after May, (grad date) give this to one of my kids. I've had my eye on a Chrysler 300 with all the bells and whistles for awhile now.

At 47, I'm a bit old for the whole "Zippy car thing".... well at least I thought I was! lol I get my fast ride thrills from my 1100 Yamaha Virago cruiser, which I really adore, but am having such a blast with this lil car!

I've officialy named him "Vinnie".... and it looks like I will not be passing this one of the kids.... I think I may end up buying a couple more tho!

Having Fun with my Versa!

Hugs! Sassy

Got my Magnetic Gray SL with convenience package on Saturday. Couldn't be happier!

Looked at the Fit and Yaris when they came out, and almost got the Fit (I'm a huge Honda fan). But something didn't feel quite right and I wanted to wait until the Versa was out before I made a purchase. And am I glad I did!

The Versa is hands-down the better car of the three. Better interior, better road manners, more power, etc., all for the same price. The Fit felt very small and crude campared to it.

And I'm suprised by the power too. I'm not really missing the V6 of the Accord I'm selling!

Yeah, it's dumb isn't it? The way things are going, we'll be getting 2015 model in early 2010.

the same principle when it comes to new movies, when in fact they were tapped and filmed two years earlier. When u buy a 2007 car it doesnt mean that the car is based on technology invented in 2007, most cars are concepted then developed and manufactured 2-3 yeras before it is introduced for sale in the following year.

To the Canadian Versa Owner - Question

Would you mind sharing information on which dealer you dealt with in Toronto? I have been in talks with a dealer - of course as a woman you must go equipped or else one could be seriously taken advantage of.

By the way, great site - the information is proving to be extremely valuable.

Redeemer if you don't mind travelling a bit, give a call to Orangeville Nissan.

I've been buying from the owners since 1972 (though at that time they weren't in Orangeville )

I'm trading in my '98 Altime on a Versa.
