Oh yeah I forgot about the tire pressure sensor set up. I as a rule never buy a vehicle the first year it is out on the market because there is usually problems & bugs to be worked out. I hope I didn't make a big mistake. How much did it cost you to get your windows done? Did they have any problems?

I don't know which of my posts this is in reference to, because I don't have any posts on this particular page of the thread, and you didn't quote...

The TPMS is something we're all suffering through. We're doing our best to ***** and moan and whine until Nissan fixes it, and it seems they're at least looking at it.

Windows... tinting, or re-timing so the auto-rollup would work?

The former was $370 (I think I paid the most out of anyone on the board, $200 or so is more common) and the latter was a warranty issue.

Dang...that IS a good deal, considering MSRP on that baby is just barely shy of $17k...

I picked up my Versa today

Super Black Versa SLCVTConvenience PackageAudio PackageSun RoofXM RadioMats/Splash Guard/etc...

The dealer added on a junk "protection package" which included wheel locks, window/panel etching, etc... I think the total came to about $19k. I didn't want the satellite radio or the "protection", but considering my other option was staying in a rental car for a couple more weeks hoping for another vehicle from another dealer, I figured I was ok paying a premium.

The protection package is bogus... You shouldn't have paid a dime for it, that's just a marketing tactic that some dealerships use (and in this state, it's illegal in some cases)

As for the satellite, you couln't not get it. Satellite is a prerequisite of the sunroof. I don't know why they don't just price it all together and call it a sun and sound package, because most of those packages are required together, they can't be taken separately.

New member and brand new Versa owner here.

Just picked up my Sapphire Blue SL with CVT yesterday, and I'm loving it so far. Came with convenience package, floor mats, and splash guards. I paid MSRP, $17,125 for it, right out the door.

Going to check out a local tinting place that's supposed to be good this weekend.

All of their vehicles come with the "protection". My only option was going to another dealer, at the cost of $150-$200 a week for the rental car while waiting for another dealer to get a suitable Versa in. I suppose I might have found a dealer willing to give me a loaner to even things out, but I decided to pay the sucker tax so I could move on.

The backend looks great without the badges. We don't need no stinkin badges!

I have a white versa, and attached a pic of the rims I am going to get for mine before too long. I am going with 17's. Got it priced for $900 w/ tires.

I attached the pic of my subs in the back of my car....they sound good. Got the box, subs, and 460 watt amp for $200. They are "Dual" which aren't the best in the business, but for $200, it works great, especially considering I primarily listen to rock music or the satelite radio.

There were definitely some nice V's at SEMA. Some of the staff from NICO (including yours truly) was at the show. Check it out: http://www.nicoclub.com/nicoev...shtml

My favorite Versa modification at the show was the tail lights on one of the Vs. They had a silk finish on them, which, according to the car's rep, was baked on. It's a look I would LOVE to see on production cars in the future.

Hey folks! I've been lurking for a while, but I've finally registered--because I finally got my Versa tonight!! *dances* After playing games w/ one dealership for 2 months, I went to another dealership on Monday and had my car by Thursday night. Now THAT'S what's up! I am too excited about this. So I'll be posting... =D

Hi! Bought mine 11/14/2006

Versa S 6 speedPower packagefloor matstinted windowsbeige int

Before TTL13100.00 (which isn't bad i don't think considering MRSP was 13900 and i got the tint for free.)After TTL14408.50 (9% tax here in New Orleans, LA)

Question, anyone who has a 6 speed is it jerking from 1st to 2nd? i don't know if its me (< new manual driver) or the car, thats the only problems i've had so far, but like i said, might be me!

Thanks!

Jerking as in the car is jerking, or the shifter?

Car jerking (forward/backward) would probably be that you're letting the clutch out too quickly or at the wrong speed. It takes some time to get used to a new clutch/transmission setup, so I wouldn't worry about this.

Car jerking (side to side) could mean you're accelerating too hard coming into the gear and causing torque steer, or it could be a misalignment problem (should be corrected by the dealer because it's so new).

Shifter jerking could be that you're "forcing" it or not dropping the clutch pedal low enough. Again, this is more of an issue of getting used to the setup of the car. One thing I do know about shifter jerking in this car... don't try to push or ram the car into gear. Let it "float" into gear. I get the smoothest shifts shifting, literally, with one or two fingers.

Yeah! has anyone else noticed this?? i can't seem to NOT get it to shake

and its popping it the word...and its the car not the shifter...and yeah i kinda got the hang of it this weekend...from from 1st to 2nd...still pops...idk why, i've managed to lighten the popping a little by letting off REALLY slow...but thats it

Woooo! Found my Versa at a dealership 70 miles away, they wouldn't trade with my local dealership so I took some personal time off work and headed to Orlando where I ended up getting it!

Onyx Blue SL CVT with charcoal interior.Conv. PackageFloor MatsSplash Guards$17,125

Got $600 for my 1995 Geo Prizm (ha! My local dealership was only giving me $500 which I think is the minimum on any car but since I drove the 70 miles the dealer gave me a extra $100 which was cool) and I also got $500 for being a recent graduate, just needed to bring my diploma.

Drove off the lot with 12 miles on it.

I really wanted the 6-speed but the more and more I looked at it, the CVT is a better choice for my finance and I (especially when we have kids).

I had a blast driving home in it and I'll be driving to New York from Florida come Christmas; should be a blast.

My search has finally ended after about a month looking...
