Hey All! I've never posted anything on one of these but I thought I would give this a try.

I recently purchased a 2007 Versa. Nothing fancy, Automatic... that's about it. I've had it 8 days and have just over 1,040 miles. (road trip) I went over Mt. Hood to Sisters and back over the hill to Seattle. I was surprised at how it handled in the snow. I purchased chains before my trip and planned for the worst. I had the chains on for about a mile and then took them off. The road then decided to get bad, but I continued on anyway. On the way back..... I decided not to even put them on. It handled great! Surprise!

I am looking to get some foglights to fill the void in the bumper. Any help finding them would be great. I have an email in to PIAA but we'll see if they respond.

Have a nice day..... and drive safe!

I'm glad to hear that.... living in Toronto I'm wondering how my Versa will handle in the snow when it comes. Can I ask - were you on All Seasons or Snow Tires?

Just thought I would say I enjoy my Versa. It is black with American racing wheels installed. I tinted the windows. Just lost a key and keyfob, so I am looking for new ones without going to Nissan and spend an arm and a leg. I would have put a photo online, but its too much memory I guess. Oh well.

I researched my new car purchase for weeks before deciding on the Versa. Test drove one on Saturday, however the one I wanted wasn't in stock. They told me they'd put in a trade request for it, and they called tonight and said it was in! I should be picking it up tomorrow or Wednesday night. I can't wait! It's my first ever *new* car.

Just use Paint or whatever to shrink the photo down. Images straight off a digicam are usually too big. Both for the screen and the forum.

Sl with CVT, Red with black int. Had it 2 months plus. V. happyLove all the room and smooth CVT.

Needs on-dash hatch release and akward drop down hood prop.

Gas mileage not up to expectations.

Despite this still very happy.

I still have the stock tires on! No mods yet. I did buy chains, but used them only about a mile. Didn't need them.

Well.... I just recently (4 months ago) bought a new Versa in Red. 6 speed manual, and i barely touched it. I used all OEM parts other than the air filter to make a new intake, and i put on a different muffler. Anyways, i have been having horrible luck with it. 1st, my tire pressure senson wont shut up, and my airbag light keeps flickering on and off. Also, i was going about 50 and went to pass because it was a 55mph and because the clutch is so weird, i accidentally put it into 1st gear. Why the lock didnt activate i have no idea, because it is mandatory on all cars i believe. Anyways, my brand new baby has a blown engine, and nissan refuses to fix it under warranty because they said i abused it. I think thats BS because the damn lock should engage. Anyways, it sucks a lot

Excuse me if you consider this in an accusatory tone, which it is not at all intended to be; it is simply constructive criticism, but maybe it was your custom intake that either blew the engine or perhaps that is why they believe there is abuse inherent. Other than your blown engine, your problems are, unfortunately, common to Versa owners. The TPMS works up in most cars, mine included, although it is fine now, as is the airbag light, but I haven't experiences such a malfunction yet. I drive a CVT, but I've heard from a lot of members with the 6 speed transmission that the clutch is very weird, but I've heard the same thing about other newer cars too, like the Matrix, so be glad it isn't purely Nissan's designs that are seemingly flawed. Anyway, good luck with your car, hopefully you can get it back into shape soon. If all else fails, just swap the engine out for an SR20DET.

Under the Moss-Magnusson warranty act, the dealer has to be able to PROVE your modifications caused the failure. To me, it sounds like the 1st gear interlock failure would have been a much more viable cause.

Have you tried putting your stock parts back in and taking it to another dealership? You may have better luck.

(and for people who mod cars while still under warranty... never destroy or throw away your stock parts. They come in handy for situations like this)

Happy 1000th post!

That's exactly why I kept the harnesses I cut off of the OEM HU with sufficient wire to resplice just incase of a warranty issue. Unfortunately if they were to come across the butt connectors, they'd blame the problem on me. That's the only bad thing about DIY installations; you don't have the third party to lean on for an installation warranty.

I am sure it wasnt the intake. It was the failure of the gear lock. Anyways, they said the new engine would be 6k, and have some experience with engines and am good friends with a few racers, so i was hoping that i could do a swap. Where can i find an R-34 engine (if it would fit), or some other higher power engine online? If anyone has any site please let me know! Thanks

Just stumbled across this forum the other day while trying to find information on the infernal tire pressure warning system.

Other than that, just love our Versa, gets good mileage and tows well behind the MH.

Welcome MyFirstNissan, Clock Meister, and Krzycha!

If any or all of you want to help me with the fuel economy survey I'm running, I don't have enough people with 6MTs or 4ATs currently taking the survey. It would be great if you would be willing to track your mileage for the survey. Please e-mail me and request a survey tracking sheet if you are wiling to help.

Versa with SL trim, CVT, mats, and splash guards. Black with charcoal interior.

This is our first Nissan (have owned 2000 honda civic and still have 2001 toyota camry).

Finally, not what I ordered, but the dealer was fantastic, the deal was good, and I really do like the car! Paul at Feldmann Motors in Bloomington went way above to make a happy customer.

Now that I have pictures at last, I am posting in this thread.

Versa SL hatchback (of course) in Red Alert, CVT, Convenience, Audio, Sunroof and Satellite pkgs. Enjoying it so far. I am very short so the raisable driver's seat is a godsend. Finally I can see like a normal person. It feels like I'm so high up now, compared to my previous car (a Neon).

Ordered on 9-28-06, just picked it up tonight! :-)

11 miles on it so far. LOL

Only had 1 small problem. Either the factory shipped the wrong one, or the dealership ordered the wrong one, but the trunk mat that I have is for the model without the subwoofer. The dealership now has the correct one on order for me to swap it out.

I'm soooo excited! :-) I'll post pics in a couple days when I get the chance during some decent weather!

We have the same problem with our Versa. As I understand it, it's possible the correct mat doesn't actually exist yet. Our dealer has one on order for us.

It looks like a bunch of us who ordered in the last week of September all got our SLs with Conv/Aud/Sunroof/Sat within the last week, huh?

A proud owner of a 2007 Nissan Versa SL CVT Blueberry/Black with the Tech package. As I'm in Canada, that includes ABS/EBD (standard on the SL) and Blueberry is known as Blue Onyx in the US. I extended my lunch hour a bit to pick up insurance and the car .

I've barely seen my car in the daylight much, but I'm absolutely loving it. I love the color. One small let down was that the Intelligent Key is not available in Canada on the Versa. I tended to frequent the US site and of course, the Canadian Nissan site isn't going to otherwise draw attention to that feature not being there, so I didn't figure that out until I'd put $500 down to hold the car for a day or two. I have already seen the ABS in action when some jay walker stepped out in front of me last night, not even looking in my direction and walking diagonally.

I've been able to confuse the onboard Bluetooth a bit by deleting my phone (which had been configured during the test drive, and I wasn't happy with the name I'd given the cellphone) and trying to re-pair it. My phone would say "Adding headset" and the Versa would say one word ("Thank" I think) and both would "lock up." After powering the phone off and back on and flicking the car ignition twice, I repeated the procedure. The same thing happened again. The third time, I didn't bother telling the phone to search, but to just connect, as it seemed to recognize the car. Thankfully, it's back to normal again. I was beginning to think I might have to Ctrl-Alt-Del my car

The only other oddity with the Bluetooth handsfree was that "she" would not understand my pronounciation of zero. She would hear "eight" instead. I had to say it as "oh," as in "four five seven nineteen oh oh". I did the training, she can understand my Canadian zero's now.

Everyone that's seen my car (again, in the dark) thinks it's beautiful.

So, a big hello to my Versa! (A quieter boo to $500+gas a month debt!)

PS: I have to say, the horn may be attention getting, but it's not very manly, LOL
