I hope to buy the SL with BLUE ONYX in the near future. Finding a good picture to really "see" the color ........... and hopefully compare it to theSaphire Blue is nearly impossible.

Can you post a good picture of your Blue Onyx? Would appreciate it.Thanks!

This is about the only pic that I have that truly shows the color of the car. For some reason, my car ends up coming out almost black in most of my other pics.

This is also before I had the windows tinted.

Proud new owner of an S model in SAPPHIRE BLUE with Power Package, mats and splash guards. Traded a 1999 Sentra GXE with 72,000 miles. Originally dealer offered $2000 for trade and held out and got $3500. Also had dealer come down in price from $14, 815 to $14,400. A little less than $400 over invoice according to Kelly Blue Book website. Did I get a good deal? Hope so! Negotiated on the new car before I asked for an offer on a trade.

We bought our Versa 9/4/06 and have accumulated about 1500 miles. Overall MPG is 29.9 with approximately 30%city-urban and 70%highway. Top MPG has been 39.8 on a day trip of 113 miles followed by 32.3 miles for a day trip of 230 miles 50% no air and 50% air at 60-70MPH speeds. Thought those having lower mpg readings might be interested.

Went to the Texas State Fair yesterday, 9/5, and visited the Nissan exhibit. They were showing a red "S" with manual transmission and an Onyx Blue "SL" with CVT. Sticker on the windows identified Canton, MS, as the assembly factory. Ours came from Mexico. This is a major development as Mexico has been the only named factory in anything I have seen until then.

Our dealership experience with North Texas Nissan was very positive. I will detail our total buying experience later as it involves discussions(?) with Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and others. Not a pretty picture, but is similar to what others have reported.

Well, I should introduce myself. Live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, I'm the only Versa I see around here. First brand new car, went from a 98 ford escort to the versa.Ended up getting Magnetic Gray with ABS, and power package. Nice and basic, but being 21 that's about all I knew I could afford. I just got my Versa about a month ago, right on September 11th. Been enjoying the car. When got it, had a whole 13 miles on it. Now a month later, only still have 1000 miles on it, so I'm doing pretty good on not over doing it.

Ha! Try living in Oklahoma in the summer in the midst of the worst drought since the dust bowl.

Which is why I said my Versa miles will be mostly with a/c! We LOVE air conditioning here!

Thank you for the welcome. Yes, I managed to (purely by chance) get one with a sun roof (which I had been hoping for). I called a dealer and they had just unloaded 2 Versas off of the trailer. They were not even showing in their online inventory yet and the salesman had to go outside to find out the specifics of what they were. This Blue Onyx SL with charcoal interior was one of the two and about 24 hours later...

One happy camper!

You'll also probably be pleased to learn that it's also been netting the best fuel economy of the 3 transmission options.

I think Americans are insane that they don't buy more hatches. They're more useful than sedans, and they're NOT as ugly as people think.

Ah well, more Versas for us.

how did you get such a good deal. The car as you describe it is listed for $19,248.00 and that is before you add the cost of the 6 year bumper to bumper, plus there is the taxes on top of all that too. I want to go to that dealer, as that is about $2,000 cheaper then anything I have seen yet in Canada.

I got mine on oct 11th. Its Sapphire Blue 1.8 s with auto, splash guards, and power package. And paid $15983 including tax and license. Just had to go through a big mess to end up with the auto for the same price as a standard. But i went in looking for a standard and left two weeks later with an auto. All because the manager said that the decals they had on a versa in the lot could be removed. Later found out, after i bought the car three days later, they were painted on. So it was either the dealership repainting the car or giving me a new one. So they just gave me an auto that came in for all the trips to the dealership for the same price as the standard. Works for me They sure do fear the surveys. kept asking during the two weeks did you fill out the survey yet please wait until the matter is resolved.

Yeah, I know what you mean!!My dad bought an X-Trail about 3 - 4 months ago and they insisted so much about the survey, and it went something like this: "we here in nissan appreciate the costumers thoughts and opinions, so we ask you to please fill out this survey, oh by the way, the questions are ranked 1 to 10 but if its not ten, our bosses will consider that as 0 and well, we do feel we did a good job" so in other words they were telling my dad to fill everytthing with 10's, I don't really remember if he did, he just wanted his SUV so he didn't care that much. Although he was really pissed because the salesman almost looses the registration for my dads van (that he was going to trade) and another salesman found it like an hour later in the parking lot . Anyways I think it is really annoying when they pressure you like that to fill out a survey, I mean, I didnt even feel the pressure when we were buying the SUV .

BTW I'm new I've been reading you guys for a couple of weeks but since I dont even have my versa yet, I didn't register hopefully i'll buy it soon

And welcome to the latest round of newcomers.

C0smuss - is your issue a supply problem? Have you tried using the nissan site to look at inventories of other dealers in your area, maybe a little farther out? That's how several of us have fixed supply issues, by buying the car at another dealership. Seems right now that dealers won't trade each other for Versas... so if there's one on another lot you want, you gotta do the legwork to get it yourself.
