Nice, nice. btw I see you put your interior back in. Also looks like you got some new seats?

and I thought your car was gone for wiring... or was that Monday?

also the twin strut bars looks kind of dumb... just sayin

ya i put a few of the plastic panels back in and the rear seats are in for the moment. no new seats.

the car is getting picked up tomorrow to get wired.

the extra bar is meant to be mounted higher. but random metal interior bars are cool so i just said f*** it lets mount it however possible.

The CRX one is also the one for the s13. That's where it's supposed to go, the hatch dimensions are the same.

Looks good man, the clutch feel is a lot better without that box.

chris - i didnt think it reached when i tried to mock it up. if you look closer, the bar is definitely not mounted in the right spot.

im about to have an exhaust built for me. im gonna do 2.5" straight pipe all the way back, but im not sure if i should header back or cat back.

that brings me to my next question. are sohc and dohc downpipes different? im running my sohc downpipe on my ka24de and it seems to be too long, making the entire exhaust system hang a couple inches below where it should.

anybody know?

here's a picture i took today with my friend's stock z32

ya, if anything, it definitely makes bleeding the clutch a lot easier.

Don't do straight pipe, it sucks. It sounds as buzzy and crappy as a honda and the gains really all that much.

At least with a 3in cat back it sounds super deep but its really Fin loud. I seriously have permanently damaged hearing from about a year of my invidia 3in cat back + header.

I would get a 22in resonator, and a nice muffler. It adds alot to the price, but the results are so much better. I have a 14in resonator and it didn't work out as well. It still sounds like a ka but not as deep as my 3in. It is tonns quieter and doesn't buzz as bad as before.

If you can't driving your car with out sound deadening the you will HATE a straight pipe. I have a 2.5 stright pipe and its just embarrassing, you also have to look for cops every second and it is super buzzy. Do what RustspecS13 said he has the right idea.

Hands down one of the best simple projects ive seen. I just brought two s13s myself for 700. No body damage low rust just have to swap the transmission keep a full daily, and work on or sell the other shell. Once again great job brah. I wish i could have the cars at my house thou have to go across town becausse space issues and getting ready to go into college this fall and bmx street is holding me up. Just waiting for this summer its gonna be crazyyy. Caant wait for updatees!

im about to buy my exhaust and im still swaying towards buying a straight pipe. i may go for the isis dual tip 3 inch straight pipe or just get a 2.5 single tip straight pipe custom built for ~$200. i

i drive my car at least 30 miles every weekday with no sound deadening and i dont give a f***. i really dont think i will be annoyed with a staight pipe unless it actually sounds bad.

im also about to buy some degree of a sound system. not sure what to get yet...

It WILL sound like total CRAP if you don't have any reasonators or mufflers.

2.5in +22-24in resonator, and a cheap oval style muffer with a nice tip= great exhaust.

I got what was off the shelf at jegs so I got a 14in resonator, which sucks. It was like $40 too, and then I just used a thrush turbo muffler that was $14 and no tip. Great sleeper exhaust.

why are you so sure it will sound like 'total crap'?

i mean ive heard the ISIS straight pipe exhaust which is 3 inches all the way on an NA ka24de and it didnt sound bad, just really loud. wouldnt the 2.5 piping have a similar sound just a bit quieter?

It will resonate and be tinny.

3in exhausts are so big they have a much deeper tone to them and some straight pipe systems if they are built with better materials can sound decent. My 3in invidia only has a straight through muffler and really high quality piping, and it sounds awesome on my SOHC.

Your header will affect sound as well and if you have a test pipe or cat converter.

But 2.5in straight pipe will sound worse since it wont have as deep of a tone. And with no resonators or mufflers it will sound as bad as a fart cannon on a honda. A res/muffler are only there to refine the sound and muffle the noise a little.

I also had a crush bent 2.25in (or so not sure) catback with a fart cannon i got for free. It was even louder then the invidia and sounded just like a honda. I gave it away.

Any way I'm pretty picky when it comes to exhausts. I made my own, and like to pass on my experience. And also really think if its worth having a loud exhaust I have serious permanent hearing loss for driving around for about a year with my 3in, and I definitely regret doing it.
