are you guys really shooting to use the turbos potential 500whp??? That would be somewhere in the 16-20 psi range! are we saying goodbye to stock internals and daily driving

Can't you just dynamically adjust the psi, so as not to stress the internals for a prolonged period of time?

500whp sounds orgasmic

damn addidas! if this was a stillen product you'd be so pro that it wouldn't even be funny (not funny to me, but true). you really don't have to hate and if you have questions you should email or aim them and see what they have to say. i'm sure they can answer any of your questions so long as you don't jump to conclusions like you are with your posts.

Depends on the final price but now I'm in the process of saving for possible install cost.

I wasn't trying to dis anyone, its just that we are not all on equal playing fields regarding information on the "Altima Coupe Turbo" projects... but I think all information and questions will be revealed and answered in due time!

I hope the regular consumers who buy this keep it at around 8psi max. I know for the them turbo newbes, 16psi you need to shift damn early because it will peg that redline depending on your car. t-60 is a large turbo for this. I think they should down a bit because I have a t60 and gt35r and they both reach over well over 650hp. I hope everyone remembers more hp, less gas miles. I use to pump gas every 3days on 1000c injectors.

Is there pictures of the exhuast manifold off the car? I like to see the design for that part.

Ok, since im not really interested in a turbo (too pricey) i dont look at this thread... but i took a peek, and you guys are getting philosophical lol... In regards to speculation... without listening to everything, you arent getting a full picture... what makes someone smart is being able to apply careful thought processes while speculating... or there would be no chimera or plastic heart...

I do have a question, Is a turbo always on? can't you just push an OFF switch to save my MPGs? Or lower the psi to 0? ( I don't know what I'm talking about lol...)

In my car 0 psi is extremely slow and sluggish, especially with my stage 3 clutch. With stock internals, do not know. But I atleast run 7psi on a daily.

Yes, a turbo it always on. You can get whats called a boost controller though. It allows you to control the amount of boost being produced by working in conjunction with a waste gate. Instead of letting the boost run to you engine, it will "throw it out" and only let the selected amount of psi to reach the engine.

Do turbos commonly come with these, or are these separately purchased items?

It would be nice to be able to keep the stock mpg for just commuting, and then turn up the turbo when I want to have fun.

(Sorry for my ignorace, learning as I'm going)

Dude you don't have to apologize for what you don't know, and to hell with anyone on the forum that feels otherwise... everyone wasn't born knowing everything about everything... I'm extremely new to turbo setups also, just never had the urge to turbo my old car, so I don't know much about them...I'm learning also...

The turbo kits come with the waste gate (its part of the turbo assembly I think), but the boost controller is purchased separately.

You don't have to have a wastegate. But with this turbo you will. The only way you would get away with not having a wastegate is if you had an engine that could handle 20 psi and you bought a turbo that only produced 15psi, or a scenario like that. This kit will either have an internal of external wastegate. Internal will be build into the turbo housing itself and is not adjustable on a whim. You can only electronically adjust, external wastegates with a boost controller. It will all depend on the build of the turbo itself as to whether it will be adjustable. Search for wastegate on wikipedia. Im sure there is some info.

i had a blitz dbsc boost controller on my mr2, and it had multiple "channels" where you could program different boost levels. for example for normal day to day driving i was running 13psi, but if i wanted to kick it up a notch i had another channel with 18psi. any electronic boost controller should let you change boost level rather easily so you can have a more conservative boost level for daily driving.
