Thats quite funny actually... My tension rod bolt did the same thing.... Cept I borrowed my friend's sawzaw and it was off in 3 mins.... Then I just found another stock bolt to use with the new one... I have a set of s14 tension rods if anyone needs a set.... You don't need them for the 5 lug conversion I found that out the hard way.... I'd like to get adjustable ones but they are way expensive for my liking's right now... I like your drilled rotors.... They look purty... But I def think you should paint those calipers.... I love the way mine look its 2 bad the j30 brakes don't say NISSAN real big like the 300zx ones do....

yeah man, well my OE calipers there are painted... silver lol.

I painted the J30 brake calipers silver too. I like how it goes with the black spokes. Numerous ppl disagree with me though, they say I should paint em black.I'm open to suggestions.

Also, my clutch is slipping now, so scratch the sway bars. I'm definitely getting a clutch, but question is which lightweight flywheel hehe. I think I should go all out and grab a fidanza.

i say fidanza for flywheel and exedy for clutch. my vote is for black calipers but the silver doesnt look bad either. rofl, i remember painting your brakes, it was after we pulled an all nighter on the car and went to the junkyard the next day lol

Yeah, Tom is happy with the car how it is now. He just finished re-building his moped, so he's working on that and having fun with that.

Yep. U guys are right. I really don't have a choice if I want to finish school I can't spend anymore extra money on my car 'til I graduate. But that's less than a year away :D.

I just work a lot, and on my days off I usually mountain bike and then work on my moped. I FInally got it fixed this morning after 2 weeks out of commission! My points for the spark were grounding out because of how I bent metal when i soldered connections!Anyway, I thought u guys might wanna take a peep at my new found funlifestyle.I've been working on it (basically just restoring/repainting in may, then trying to make it reliable and titling/insuring/registering it in june, riding in july then it broke, and here we are.

Originally in its rusty non running glory: lol i always buy things that are not running.I'll put the saddle bags on someday soon I guess.

Sure it only goes 25, but I get 150 MPG lol. It's very addicting, and the parts are cheap compared to cars. I'll be shaving the head (higher comp) soon and possibly getting an expansion chamber muffler depending on the cost, and a smaller rear sprocket for the drive chain. With that I should pick up a few ponies as well as a much higher top speed. shooting for 40 max.

It's fun as hell lol. mopedarmy.com

I'm researching the hell out of the HHO technology though, and trying to draw my own plans for an HHO install on the SR20 so I can save gas this school year.

I think I'll b around nico more now, but I think HHO and making an engine run on water is my calling. Look up Stan Meyer if you're interested. He almost put it into production, but got poisoned by oil corps.

Maybe this week I'll buy a polisher/buffer because they're on sale for like 25 bucks at harbor freight and try to remove the key marks for good. But yea, some dumb kid spoiled my exterior drivers side for a bit, and the hood. She'll get fresh paint someday.

Well total since I've fixed it I drove it 388 miles lol. I had to replace spark points which wear down on the rusty flywheel at first, but now that I'm non moped ignition noob, I sanded the rust off and greased her up where it wears out and its working beautifully.

I'm wondering if I put a 6V rechargeable battery source in line with the power for the headlight if I'll get more light output from my headlight because it's really weak. Maybe the bulb is just old.

I've ridden it for maybe 3hrs at a time on a ride w/ other enthusiasts, only to have the belt get a little loose and need tightening. Other than that, those are common moped problems. They need a lot of maintenance. Carb cleaning is a must.

I should shine up the car and do pics, but I have to fix a warped rotor first. getting a hot spot when i stop it creaks. Doing that tomorrow (aka taking the bad rotor to a shop)

So I'm probably going to ramble but thats ok. The guys can finish off the story for me because I'll probably be busy this week, and school starts in a week anyway.

Be careful guys, my car's not ok, but I am ok.

I was noob cause I was out of the loop for awhile and didnt keep my spirited driving skills up.

Its not a RWD issue, its an ABS issue.

I locked up the brakes going too fast around a blind (because of a hill/hump) curve. I would have made it if i had just stepped off the brakes a bit like I did before one time in the spring.

Anyways, up the embankment i go and theres huge rocks the car skidded on like a 50/50 skateboard grind. A little help from a tree on the pass side ensured a stop.

My foot's swollen near the pinky toe, but I don't think it's broken because I dont see any bruise.

I was very sad just knowing that I killed my baby, but the motor is still great. didnt even bust the rad.

Front subframe got smashed by the rocks, and bent the right wheel all 90* turning right lol.

I can't believe I'm so calm writing this, but mrgreeneyes and his brother, and an rx7 owner that we were out with were really helpful in calming me down.

It boils down to,

A: I'll probably have to drive a crap car for a year til I finish school and move out.

B: the 'rents let me part out the old and build a coupe shell that has already been sourced lol!

C: I move out to harrisburg and don't even get a car because I'll have my moped which can get me to class just fine and when the weather is bad I'll take the bus. In which case I'll buy a nice car like 350z or something when I graduate.

D: maybe she's fixable, but she won't look pretty anymore, hoping for just a new front subframe, but I doubt it.

So yea, my only problem now is getting myself to class reliably during the work week starting august 18th. from lancaster to harrisburg, and the AMTRAC train just stopped its route from lanc to Harrisburg .

All in all, I'm actually glad to be alive and Im not emo right now. It'll all be ok in time God has a plan.

I've been thru the VT shooting too, and yet there's still a reason I'm here so I'll find out someday.

Keep ur eyes peeled I may be parting it out but I'm not sure. Motor is already spoken for if such conditions arise that I have to part it out, but please don't start a bidding war in this thread, I will start a new one to let u know if I do.

Sry nico, BE SAFE! no more rarer 240s!

ok. thanks guys. I think the verdict for the moment is me getting a more normal car like fwd automatic, just so i dont spend money on it during the schoolyear, and then when i'm out maybe a coupe skyline motor project could be started, but I'm not sure about anything at the moment.

Going to the doc about my foot, and thenGoing to the tow yard tomorrow, possible pics if I can get a ride out there (probably moms car)

So ends the build thread lol.

To think I was looking down upon the masses and their normal cars calling them losers this whole time, but I'm the loser right now. Ironic.

The one thing that my dad told me is I shouldn't have put my car at such risk, because the reward wasn't as good as the risk at hand. Something like that, basically, it's not worth it, going to the edge and having fun with something you spent years of your life on just to have it wasted in one blink.

Like what you said to me earlier this year and I didn't grasp it Dan (automato)That you've had your fun and it's time to move on. Well I think it's time to move on at least for now. But we'll see tomorrow if i can salvage her.

Man Tom, the one day I decide to stick my head into Nico and I see you barely escape death. The last time I saw your car was like 2 years ago and Jeff and I set your KA on fire. I didn't even get to see it run and you wrecked it.

omg yea kiet u were the only one who was there when we first got the KA started lol.

Man that distributor was way off.

ur comments guys it hurts. I'm sorry I destroyed it. I'll take pics tomorrow, today was kind of embarrassing because the neighbors were all watching the tow truck back it in. I was a bit emotional.

The chassis isn't salvegeable. Possibly possibly with a jdm front end welded on but the frame is so out of whack. strut tower crumbled a bit, and we'll have to cut the upper rad support to pull the SR.

But there is hope. Clean body 135kmile blackonblack b13 sentra 2dr i'm picking up tomorrow for 900 bats. And after that I start socking away my money for the day i have my own garage to build an rb25det coupe.
