I saw it, it was ****in awsome. No enough guns like the first one, and it seems that they rushed the filming, not as well thought out as the first one. But never-the-less, it rocked and im seeing the 3rd one too :ylsuper

I wonder if they're gonna release like a matrix trilogy when the third one gets put on dvd. That'd be sweet...they'd have my money.

More guns would have been nice, but I would see it just for Carrie-Anne Moss in leather...mmmmm, delicious.

The CG and fighting was cool. Nothing too special. It's all about the story line. Nice twist. It's like watching Star Wars. Nothing too special since we've all seen light saber fights before. Though Yoda was bad ***. But it's about the story. At least for me.

*Anyone who hasn't seen the Matrix, do not read my post further.* For those who do not understand the movie, I hope you have really seen the first one enough times to grasp the underlying message. Choice. The second one takes all that back and basically says that given a certain environment, the choices are being controlled by the computers by presenting a controlled environment. Thinking back to the 1st Matrix it seems key whan the Orracle had said to Neo "What's really going to bake your noodle is if you would have knocked over the vase had I not said anything" or something like that. Can't wait to watch it again to see what I didn't pick up on. I watched the first 20+ times easy and saw something new each time.

I saw it yesterday. It started out slow, all that zion crap seemed distant from what I cared about which was neo kicking arse in the matrix. I was very very happy by the end. For those of you who think the second one was rushed, or scraped the bottom of the barrel, you should know that the matrix was written as a trilogy. the first one was more self contained incase it flopped and the studios wouldn't back a sequel, but the writers had the plot of 2 and 3 down before the origonal was done. I see this one as more of a bridge for Matrix Revolutions (3) which will be pretty awesome.

for anyone who has played the game, did you think it was kinda cheap how they integrated that into the movie? I mean I only played the beginning of the game, but I saw totally how they fit it in there on purpose to set up the game. I just think it kinda cheapened the movie not enhanced it.

also, did anyone else get the preview for freddy vs. jason? OMFG I've been waiting for that ever since high school. I don't care if it sucks or not, I'm pumped to see that.

I'm sorry i think i hated reloaded more than i hated the first one. I think it delves to much into the my PHilosophy of obsurdity that says that existence to too complex and obsurd to comprehend. But i think the whole point of the movie was what the french guy said when he said that the only reason that they came to visit him, was because they were told to. In synopsis, the more you try to avoid being "Part of the System", the more you are part of the System. But aside from that little tidbit of wisdom, i thought the rest was junk a bunch of doubletalk and contradictive post modernist garbage. Not only that but i heard somewhere that in the third one thier suppose to reveal that the real world is actually a matrix outside of the matrix, explaining the whole scene where Neo stops the "Squidies" after the Nebuchanezzer is destroyed. Which would be entirely obsurd and utterly complex, returning to my philosphy of obsurdity. And what was up with The whole Zion scenes, when i didin't think i was watching Star Wars Episode 11, i thought i was watching a porno. Zion itself seemed more like Soddom and Gamorah.

But i'll probably see the third against my better judgment. I mean i saw the other two. . .

The game is horrible. If you planned on buying it, don't! I am at the end and I've played for about 7 hours, the plot reuse is horrible. They reuse the EXACT same scenes and liens with different people and the whole story is jumpy and out of sync. You will have zero idea what the heck is happening if you haven't seen the movie and barely any idea if you have. It jumps around without saying why or what you should be doing.

Speaking of reuse, *possible spoiler for the game, but you shouldn't care, also don't read if you haven't seen the movie!*. Remember when Persephone makes Neo kiss her like he would kiss his love? Well that was stupid to begin with, but in the game she says the EXACT SAME THING to Niobe and, of course, the first time they kiss it isn't good enough so they do it again--right apparently. You'd think it would at least be attractive watching these women kiss, but its not, it just hurts to watch because its so horribly clipped from the movie itself!

Moral: Matrix Revisited is perhaps the worst game ever. Avoid at all costs. Go buy Max Payne, you'll save $30 and be 1000% happier.

Damn You! That was my theory already. Damn me for reading this post! haha. Certainly, you have a right to your opinion, but I think you should "Free your mind" and just enjoy it. hehe. In any case, my interest in the third one is to see if I am right about what the set-up of the matrix really is, and if Neo saving Trinity was the choice that was actually another manipulation.

I regret even renting it. there are moments when the kung fu moves are realy cool, but it's just button mashing and I don't realy feel like it was me that made the character do that. Oh well. I guess I got suckered by all the hype for the game. Don't believe the hype. don't . . . don't . . . don't believe the hype.

I saw it the second time and it really helps. I missed the fact that those two guys were werewolves and that's why she shot one of them with a silver bullet. I also missed the obvious that those guys in white were ghosts. Anything you guys saw, that you think others missed? Who was that french guy supposed to be?

Enter the Matrix, yes. It sucks
creophus wrote:Who was that french guy supposed to be?
The Merovingian. He's a vampire-type figure. That's why those guys are werewolves. Only reason I get it is sadly because of the game. I didn't catch anything about vampires or werewolves in the movie, guess I'll just have to watch it again :)

They talked about previous programs in the matrix being those creatures of lore. The movie can easily get you into trouble if you're not paying total attention. The 10 minute fight scenes get you in awe and then they start talking and stuff- like you're supposed to listen or something! And if you did by chance listen to every single word coming out of the architects and oracles and merovingians mouths you might realize that this is a philosophy base for the wachowskis. I believe this whole matrix idea kind of started as a self-help book idea- thank goodness for Hollywood.

My experience of the movie was slightly jaded because as I walked from the movie in downtown Minneapolis on a Sunday, I was horrified to discover that my 240sx obsession had been towed- costing me $160- 20 times the price of the movie!

Yeah, I didn catch the werewolf thing the first time. The twins rocked.

I think the third one is gonna be better. Looks like they had to get the slow stuff outta the way in this one.

I agree on the two Matrix theory. It only makes sense, or Neo is gonna be super man in real life, which aint happening.

I still think we need to send the Terminators to kill everyone. Arnold would kick NEO, Morfious, and Colonel Sanders butt all at the same time.

I'm not sure on the whole double matrix idea. I thought that at first as well, but as I've been playing the game it has revealed some new stuff (in between the loads of crap). This includes the oracle saying something about Neo being stuck between the real world and the matrix, which would explain his powers. I guess I'll have to wait for Revolutions comes out to find out for sure!

Spizzoilers:

I guess what he's saying is that he's connected to both worlds at once, hence the oracle saying he has the sight, and him being able to predict things that are going to happen inside the matrix through his dreams.

True...see now I wanna know what happens AFTER that. And I wanna know spoilers how the f*** smith got out into the real world. I didn't think that your conscious could be altered in such a way by the matrix.
