great job on the build. looks like it will fly below the radar, bov permitting. major props for not giving up on it and building a great s14. maybe one day I will build a car with my son when he gets that age.

I guess this should about wrap it up as far as updates. We have put about 180 miles on it and haven't had any leaks or problems. It has been cold and had a little bit of snow from time to time. The car starts right up and idles smooth. We got the winter wheels and tires on it now.

I think he plans on painting the rocker cover and adding a few clamps, here and there, but for the most part, it is done.

Here are a few videos with sound. I was driving and I missed a shift , but made the second attempt . This should be a lot of fun next spring at the track with the other wheels and tires on it.

I appreciate all the kind words from everybody, and was glad you could help me out. I could not have done this without all the previous (and current) builds going on here. Keep up the good work.

+1 for the lsd but other than that it looks done. Did you guys do anything with the brakes? I forgot if you did. If not that would be something I'd highly consider. A q45 swap would be pocket change as far as the money you guys have already spent. Anyways, looks great. Nice job.

i totally agree. its not a good idea to up the power without upping the stopping ability. and a vlsd is cheap as well def 2 things i woudl do asap since it'll see winter driving

^ Buy a Kaaz 2 way. You can pick one up used for 600. I have a vlsd in my s14 and dont like it much, Kaaz is the best bet.

Glad to see you got everything running smoothly. Make sure not to let the kid have all the fun in the drivers seat.

Wow. I wouldn't trust myself with any car at that age.

Much less a boosted 240sx while in highschool where the "jdm" nonsense is rampant.

Hope he continues to make good decisions!

I Originally ordered from Heavy Throttle...they went out of business. Jeff refunded my money.

Then I ordered from my local tuner shop Slowmotion in Columbus. Megan sent one for an S13 and then a 2 1/2" (non turbo) by mistake. Finally got the correct one.

very sweet and clean build!! now this is more of the NICO i miss. i go away for a year or two, and come back to complete utter garbage. this reminds me of the good ole days back when nico wasnt a ricer/fanboy/immature kids forum. you do great work pops! hope your son enjoys the car for awhile.

when i was building my s13 coupe, i was living with my ex who had a 5 year old and his name is kaleb. i taught him how to weld . wish i had pics.... it was one of the coolest days of my life.
