Curious question, the hood bumpers on my car (01 qx4) dont have enough length to put the hood were I want it. Is there a universale buy for these stoppers or was one longer than the others?gmac708 wrote:
I was always watching the hood bounce around and the fit was not as good as it should be. I ordered the hood bumpers and installed them.
Here is front right corner. A little low along fender and close to headlight.
Screw is new bumper
It is threaded all the way down, so you use it to adjust hood height.
Hood fit after
Bumper old and new. Kinda squished.
Here is new, middle on hood.
OK hood is done!
There are six bumpers that support it.2 X 65823-28E00 (front center)2 X 62840-D0100 (front corner)2 X 65158-65F00 (middle on hood)
Now we are off to get some new winter tires.

We talked about a track car or pulling the SR out and keeping it for the coupe but I am in the middle of a 240Z project and have little or no room left for another car/engine in the garage.fayceoff wrote:Wow. Well, at least it's still on the road being enjoyed, right? I would have kept it AND bought the hatch, but...
