I was always watching the hood bounce around and the fit was not as good as it should be. I ordered the hood bumpers and installed them.

Here is front right corner. A little low along fender and close to headlight.

Screw is new bumper

It is threaded all the way down, so you use it to adjust hood height.

Hood fit after

Bumper old and new. Kinda squished.

Here is new, middle on hood.

OK hood is done!

There are six bumpers that support it.2 X 65823-28E00 (front center)2 X 62840-D0100 (front corner)2 X 65158-65F00 (middle on hood)

Now we are off to get some new winter tires.

Curious question, the hood bumpers on my car (01 qx4) dont have enough length to put the hood were I want it. Is there a universale buy for these stoppers or was one longer than the others?

Im stumped on how I can get a longer one

Nice build btw

wow this build was truly amazing. i just hope this car stays that way. im 15 and my stock ka is plenty for me. honestly i dont see what the point of this was. but it was awesome to follow. i would let Cam know how much money you put into this. honestly time means nothin to us teenagers. id love to to what you guys did over and over again. but money is another thing. ive paid and done everything on my car which makes me really appreciate it. anyway you should get some aero imo. those rims cant be pulled off without it. also like those other guys were saying brakes. with the money and hp youve put into it youd be stupid not too.

So. Forgot what he said happened exactly but I know he wasn't doing anything immature like street racing or anything like that.

Nissan dealer down the street. You should be able to order no problem.

Three car bumper to bumper 20 MPH, He was in the middle rainy day, heavy traffic.

Insurance said it would take $7K to fix/rebuild...here's $2500 all it's worth . I showed the receipts for everything we did and they gave $4K, we bought the car back for $650. Bottom line was we got the car with salvage title and $3450 cash. Cam bought an S13 coupe and we sold the S14. The person who bought the car, swapped out the hood, fender, lights and banged out the back of it already, and has it back on the road. He is going to use it as a daily driver. He drove it over on Saturday and it was good to see it back on the road.

Wow. Well, at least it's still on the road being enjoyed, right? I would have kept it AND bought the hatch, but...

We talked about a track car or pulling the SR out and keeping it for the coupe but I am in the middle of a 240Z project and have little or no room left for another car/engine in the garage.

Your son has one HOT car to be just getting around to getting his license. I hope he appreciates it to the extent that he should.

Awesome build, take care of it, and keep updating!.

The S13 is OK, he added the rims and the rear valances. I have driven both, and the KA in the coup is stronger than the one I remembered in the S14. Probably because the S14 w/KA had the automatic transmission. The S14 w/SR was an amazing car. I think the S13 has the potential to be even better, but that will have to wait. I gotta get the Z done

11 pages of stuff only to have that happen. That sucks. Congrats on a clean s13 find. Still like the S14 better though.

Ok, So for the coupe, S13 Silvia front end and KA-T build. What do ya say? Sorry to see that happen to a nice S14. It's cool to see he got into a new car so quick. Guy that mashed up my car doesn't have insurance and I'm STILL trying to sort it out so much for VIP...
