So you see a thread on Zilvia and decide to be a cool guy. Pathetic. What is the point of doing that?

maybe he actually spends more time working on his car, than he does on NICO telling people how pathetic their mods are?

that seems like it would save a lot of hassle over taking the off when you need room. nicely done bro.

It does make it easier to pull the motor. You should do it and paint that bay.

the painting of the entire car was a late night last minute idea. i'd guess the bay gets painted when it gets boosted, but knowing doug i won't be surprised if its something crazy

Looks useful. Back hurts from bending down under the hood...Can we get close ups on the hinges?

If you go look at your hood hinges, you'll see that they have stops, grind those off with a Dremel and it's done.

By the way, Kyle, get the f*** out of my thread.

Jeff is right, paint will come when I boost it... Or change the clutch, whichever comes first... Unless they come at the same time. :D

Why is it that violentrunning tools pride themselves on being original? There is no such thing anymore f*****! Everything has been done, get over it. Nice build man, keep it up, and do what you want to do and f*** the rest

Forgive me, I thought that you'd have results and a better powerplant than a KA24E

Also, in order of importance of a "drift car" build would be suspension, diff motor. but people go different routes.

you appreciate good suspension more if you dont have anything to start with. That was before I drove in D1, then it was a whole different ball game.

Allow me to clear things up for you.The car is being built.

I'm building the suspension with a full J30 brake setup, front and rear. The motor is being built to run cool and have better response. I know it's only a SOHC, but it's good enough to learn on. I'm building the car to learn how to drift, and if I like it, I will put more money into it.

hahahahaha, your funny. Its called constructive criticism, take it leave it, cry about it. I'm just stating why are you going to put up a 'build thread' and post that you spray painted your single cam valve cover. I'm putting my two cents in because Ive been there.

to OP:Single cams are fine to learn on, I learned on a single cam and graduated to SR w/ an open diff. Then switched to welded, now Kaaz 2-way.The only thing about Single cams is you lacking power, the thing that makes up power is speed, really fast entries.A good diff and suspension setup will go very far, like I stated before. Ditch the idea of the J30 brakes and keep the stock brakes and use good pads. save yourself money. Good pads go a long way.

terrible idea imo, the stock brakes are underpowered for the ka let alone the plans of turboing the single slammer. no mater how good the pads that won't compare to a system that moves more volume
