Since I have nothing else to do, I'll post a picture of my diff. Sweet diff thread bro.

But really how soon till this thing sees a track?
Mmmm that's purdy. I don't know when this thing will see a track. Maybe if they have a winter event somewhere local I'll take it there to get one run in.

I'm trying to find a Q45, so that might set this project back a bit, but we'll see. Have a helmet I could buy from you?

Yeah, I want a car that I actually have to care about. Don't get me wrong, I love my 240 to death, but I don't care what people think of it or how it looks. I want a car to drive around that people will say "Damn, that s*** is CLEAN." Plus, it'll give me an opportunity to have the 240 down for weeks at a time. Not to mention insurance is MUCH cheaper. :D

Theres no other way.

I would make the Q45 my project.

Here are my RUCAS. I painted, anti-siezed them and sprayed WD40 inside of them so they won't rust from the inside out. They should be good for $25.

Okay, so my first event is going to be November 1st! It's going to be a small drift school from Driftpa.com with only 6 other drivers. I'm super f***ing stoked, so expect mad work to get done here shortly. I need some aggressive pads for the rear calipers if anyone has any they'll let go for cheap.

Front brakes should arrive within a few days, motor mounts going on soon, cleaning timing chain, poly steering rack bushings and maybe some other small things.

I'll either be up to watch or maybe attend. I don't know. Anything's possible, or most likely i'll be out with my girl if we evaluate how recent events have gone lol.

good list of necessary parts that u wanna put on beforehand tho.

Nice, drift events are fun. Smaller ones are more fun, less people watching = less pressure = more learning.

I would invite you guys, but it's not a spectator event. It's a school; they want one spectator per car TOPS. Sorry

Okay, it's been a while, so I figured I would update you guys.

Last friday I went into my school to finalize some paperwork. The car was giving me issues on the way up, running on 3 cylinders and other fun things. I figured the injector harnesses were giving me trouble again. I was about to leave my school; the car had other ideas. The car just clicked, and didn't turn over. Immediately I called MGE to try and get an idea from him. His only solution was to push start the car because he wasn't able to be there and troubleshoot. I got the car push started but it would die if I didn't give it constant throttle, so I had no choice but to leave it in the parking lot. A couple days ago, MGE and I went up to look at it and try and limp it home. Turns out, the alternator took a s***; great. So today I bought a new alternator with a LIFETIME warranty, so I wouldn't have any worries. Threw that on and drove it home.

Two sundays from now is the drift school. MGE, Didderson and I will be attending. I'll be repping driftWARFARE, which is started by a local named Damien, which he might attend as well. I'm really stoked to be repping a local club at the same time as learning how to drift.

Before the event I have to:Replace front main seal. We found out it was leaking rather bad.Replace the fan and fan shroud. I had to remove it for the alternator.Fix odds and ends around the car.

My plan is to get the welded diff in the car this weekend to learn how to daily drift and slide around a little bit. I will update this thread as progress is made.

Finally threw the welded in sunday morning at 1am. Ran into some issues so I didn't finish until 4am.

Woke up at 8am, had to throw the fan and shroud on. Then I couldn't get Keegan awake, so we didn't leave til around 10am. Driving on the welded diff is SO much fun. I'll definitely be dailying it.

Get up there, get two runs in with some guys that gave me tips. Third run, I did very well. Learned how to transition smooth and keep it going.

Had such a blast.

Pics.

The oval is pretty tough. Just setup 100sq yds of 80 grit sandpaper in the middle of a field.

But seriously, it's in State College, PA. Check out http://www.driftpa.com to look up some events.
