Didn't catch that before, sorry.mcheddadi wrote:oh yeah and I tried adidas2go's way, but that didn't work also in rod down way.
Sigh... I gotta say Stillen has some of the best reps I've ever seen. Even when I worked for Cingular I didn't give as fast a response as Kyle and Josh. But Its hard to respond when grandma doesn't know how to turn off her phone...Josh@Stillen wrote:Sorry about that Brad. Yes they are currently backordered for a little bit.
Just received a call from kenny@stillen to see how my Springs/Exhaust Install went and to let me know that they had my order for the hood dampeners... I think Stillen is my second favorite company (behind google)!windex wrote:

So they arent backwards but the manufacturer suggested thicker at the top, rod at the bottom when used in something where the assembly would be vertical most of the time, correct? So even if installed them strut up, rod down, there wouldnt be any adverse effects?Josh@Stillen wrote:Hi guys,
We have new instruction sheets, with some additional photos, hopefully that will assist in installs.
In regards to the struts themselves, and whether they are rod-up or rod-down, it is typically advisable to have the strut body above the rod for lubrication purposes, this is for struts that remain in that position.
Our R&D department had spoken to the manufacturer of the strut before completing the kit, and they confirmed this was no problem for this setup. The struts are not installed backwards!
