Kyle,

If I want to paint the silver mounting brackets can I just use regular spray paint, or does it need some kind of primer or special preparation to adhere?

Ordered mine on Monday morning before this thread was posted. Bought the Stillen side skirts and the dampeners! But because I live all the way over the freaking east coast, I'm not getting it till the end of next week! Another reason to move to Vegas!

Dang,..That list is getting longer every day!

You can paint these pretty easily. I would recommend scuffing the the parts a bit before installing them but you shouldn't need any primer. Simply take a scotch-brite pad to them and you should be ready to paint.

This is a double post but I figured I'd put it here too for those who don't check the "coupe" forum....

So, I'm not going to do a full write up since Blake already did but I just wanted to give my initial impressions.

Install - about a half hour. Pretty easy but you need a dremel or some type of cutting tool and a little bit of mechanical know how. The instructions are not very detailed (who uses instructions anyway). So if your skills are lacking, follow Blakes write up.

Finish - I like that they are black with a simple red Stillen sticker. Although my car is blacked out so this is probably a given. Just pay attention to which side you install which damper so that you can read it right.

Use - Lets just say your hood definitely won't fall down on accident. The hood does not "fly" open but it does take a little force to close it.

Overall - Extremely happy with the ease of install and use of them. Would definitely buy them again at the GB price. Now just have to take them apart to paint the brackets black.

Here's some pics -

When and How do you clean and/or change the air filter. every 3 months sounds like a lot?Sorry about going on this thread. couldn't find how to get to you any easier.

3 months is pretty soon. The filter will last forever, so no worries there. I would clean it like ever 10k miles or so. Guys with the sedans. The sedan has been in the modeling shop for a few weeks now. The guys in there are busting there a$$ to get everything through. They are actually working on the urethane parts body parts right now. The car is up on the lift, torn apart, so no one really has access to the stage of production with the hood dampers. However, if everything is being worked on right now. We can't really complain to much. You guys will most likely have a swarm of parts at the same time, like we did.

Well.. then I would imagine you'll be happy..

We have confirmed that the Hood Dampers also fit the 07-08 Altima Sedan's, so i would definitely jump on this group buy before it ends..

In case anyone was wondering as well.. the new STILLEN Rear Sway Bar also fits the Sedan. More info to follow on those..

You won't be charged the $117.00 if you place the order online. But, if you want to call in to place your order for the extra sense of security please feel free.

Ok I'll take all of your words for it lol. Different question, for the 12th annual Nissan/Infiniti meet do we have to register or is that only for show cars?
