We have confirmed that the Hood Dampers also fit the 07-08 Altima Sedan's, so i would definitely jump on this group buy before it ends..

In case anyone was wondering as well.. the new STILLEN Rear Sway Bar also fits the Sedan. More info to follow on those..
How about for an 06. Will it fit?

We have not had the chance to do a test fit at this time but I would assume that some of the mounting will be different. I will do my best to find out as soon as possible.

Jose, normally I would say absolutely, but I just heard word that we completely ran through our supply of struts due to an error from our vendor on some parts for that kit, and they are expedite shipping them to be here Monday.. so for those who haven't got shipping confirmation notices, there will be a slight delay until Monday to ship these kits.

I apologize for the inconvenience.. we're doing everything we can to keep these in stock and shipping. We have shipped quite a few so far.

They have confirmed so far that it will fit 07-08. They modified the info on their webpage. They have yet to confirm for any earlier models, I have been told they will know that within a week or so.

OK,..got my hood dampners in and installed it in less than 1/2 hour but the hardware included 4 chrome looking wire thingys? Not quite sure what they are or where they go to. Does anyone have a clue or a close up pic of these wire thingys installed?

Those lock the balls of the strut into the cups on the mounting brackets to ensure they stay in place, although it would take some good force to dislodge them.

The straight part of the pin goes in to the hole, and twist the hooked portion around the bottom of the strut, basically locking the ball into the cup.

Noticing those are not in the instructions, my apologies, I will work on having those added.

Sorry for the confusion.

I have a question for kyle or josh. In the install guide, the dampers are mounted rod end up. thats an error right? it's supposed to be installed rod down:

"Use standard gas springs rod down, i.e. the spring should be mounted so that it spends most time in a rod down position, within 60° of vertical, thus ensuring the seal stays lubricated. For tension springs the exact opposite is true, i.e. use rod up. Once installed, test at least every three months."

http://indgassprings.com/pages/tech_dos_donts.html

I went outside and checked my 745i BMW and VW beetle and they both have their springs mounted rod end up... but according to the that link, thats wrong lol... I'm confused... I need a reply to start my install!

You can mount them rod down. It's not a big deal. It will not cause them to wear out or fail any quicker.

One last question before I start.

What's the purpose of these 4 little metal thingies?

They aren't even listed in the instructions...

We were unable to predict the demand, and you guys ate through inventory pretty quickly, and we did go through all of the brackets. They are being run, but it will be mid-week before we'll have them in stock again. You should have an email from Margaret if yours were delayed. Sorry about the delay..

Ok Ijust finished installing it, and first I'd like to say how AWFUL the instructions are. WORST INSTRUCTIONS EVER!

This took me WAY more time that it should have. In the install guide's pictures, the dampers were upside down. So first I tried it my way (the good way) with the dampers mounted rod down. it worked brilliantly. it slows down before opening completely, but the problem is ... IT DOESN'T SHUT DOWN TIGHT. there's is a VERY noticeable gap between the hood and the car... its like the dampers are blocking the way just before it closes.

so I tried it Stillen's rod up way, and that fixed the problem with the gap since the rods are way thiner than the cylinder and they don't block the way. but now when I opened the hood, it SPRANG UP VIOLENTLY all the way to the top and then shaked like

Well I found a way to have them rod down without the noticable gap when closed between the hood and car. I'll go take a pic...

anyhow...I'm kind of disappointed with the install process. took WAYYYY too much time to figure all these stuff, but otherwise it's great to finally have dampers!

this is the only way it worked for me without any issues:oh yeah and I tried adidas2go's way, but that didn't work also in rod down way.
