Great vid Mcheddadi! Very smooth I must say:bigthumb I have my dampners installed with the rod up like they showed on the Stillen instruction sheet. It does fly up and the hood bounces at the top. But I like how yours slowly goes up. You have yours mounted rod down like most cars I've seen. Do you have pics of the orientation of the bracket that attaches to the hood? I think I might be switching mine around after seeing yours.mcheddadi wrote:here's the vid of the dampers mounted rod down (Instead of rod up like in the install guide) :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCGUEZJLbAc

umm, someone needs to tell the Canada Gods that its April... why is there still snow on the ground??? I went swimming in our community pool this morning...mcheddadi wrote:Congrats!
You can always try it in rod down if you want, it will be much smoother http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCGUEZJLbAc
You got a picture of your car's front end closed? A while back i wanted to buy the grill that your sporting now but i decided against it in hopes something of a black mesh would come out.eight3six wrote:
taken from kinda far since the engine bay is filthy
I don't think it will be necessary to do that if you attach the little metal clips to the rod. However, I can't get my clips secured! What is the secret for installing them? Do you put them on the cups first then force the cup over the pin? When I try to attach them after the cup is connected to the pin the metal rod won't slide through the hole in the cup. Help please!gatorglaze wrote:Thanks, it looks better then i imagined but i think imma hold out for a fascia from stillen to come out. hoping its soon :fingerscrossed:
on another note, have any of you guys secured the threading between the socket and the rods? Considering they arent perfectly threaded, they arent on perfectly tight right? I put a bunch of loctite on the threads and now they are solid in the position i want them to be in. Just wondering if you guys left the threads as they were
Same thing happened to me on one side. Looks like the plastic from the headlight mount isn't perfectly aligned with the bolt hole and it kind of forces you to crossthread it. The problem is the bolt is just barely long enough to secure the bracket so you only have a few threads on the bolt to work with. Now I'm looking to get a longer bolt...eight3six wrote:so i got the drivers side on just fine. i take the passenger side headlight bolt out and put the bracket on. for some reason now the bolt will NOT go back in. i look and there is no threads really left. i know it wasnt from me since i only took it out then tried screwing it back in once. but it wont even push threw the hole so i can put a nut on the end either. if it was as easy as the driver side i would have been done a half hour ago. i came inside to get a razor blade to start cutting stuff, figured id vent a little
Josh or Kyle, Another set shipped out or are you guys just shipping as they become available?D-Roll wrote:Mine will be in this Friday
