No trouble at all, you really just need to be conscientious of the location of all the bolt holes.locoluna825 wrote:Nice. Did you have any trouble putting the door panels back on? I also have a question about that flashing. Is there and actual insulation on that? it looks thick, but is that just adhesive and reflective reflection part all it consists of???
No there is no odor at all, except for when I actually burnt the stuff with the heat gun. haha,S14toRPS13 wrote:Do these have an odor to them? I've heard about how certain types has a bad odor to them.

Like Tsukiko said, it's just more material for the sound waves to pass through.mudvayne9790 wrote:NICE whats the pillow stuffing for?
No prob, there was just now way I could just not let people know about this.So far I have done the entire hatch including inside the quarter panels, the doors, and the back seat walls, and I have spent $60 and have almost a whole roll left.Tsukiko wrote:Oh and thanks for the tip on material selection, Zach. PS not sure if this was mentioned, but please do give us a rough figure on the cost of materials involved when all is said and deadened.
fixed. thought this may clear up any questions.zach-Ka wrote:Like Tsukiko said, it's just more material for the sound waves to *try* to pass through.
Thanks. hahaIt would be really awesome to see the actual difference.Tsukiko wrote:

I may end up doing something very similar to this, but i want to record the decibel readings inside the car before and after just to put a scientific number on how much it really helps.
Yeah, I kick it old school.numbnuts240 wrote:i was going to ask how you planned on servicing power options with all the holes in the door covered up, nut then i saw that you have crank windows. i may have to try this out on the s14 come spring time.
worst. movie. ever.zach-Ka wrote:Yeah, I kick it old school.
I would think that it would last decades considering that its made for on top of roofs on houses.locoluna825 wrote:only thing now im thinking of now is. What happens when the tar dries out and becomes hard? since there's no actual insulation. its all tar and sheathing. but that might not even matter being that its not exposed to the elements like it would be on a roof. so maybe it will last years

You found it at lowes? I searched my local one for an hour and couldn't find it. I guess I'll have to go to some of the other ones around town.Hoffman5982 wrote:I was at lowes and checked it out yesterday. Its actually very light. a couple of rolls wont hurt your cars weight

I am gonna be doing under the seats and the fire wall. Pretty much the whole cabin. haha. My friend jarrett wants to do under the hood, I can tell you how that goes after he does it...Ter240sx wrote: besides the places you already mentioned putting the Peel & Seal, are there any other places? such as in the engine bay maybe? even tho that would cause the engine bay to overheat and be too shiny haha
Is it as thick? peal and seal is 40 mill.Hoffman5982 wrote:I went and got some stuff called tite seal or something like that. its the same stuff and was right next to it. It came in a roll of 9"x32' versus the 6"x25' of the peel and seal. I paid nine bucks with my brothers 20% off(
