If you guys are unpluging the blue relay on the car side of the harness, plug it back in! You need both to be plugged in in order for the bi-level selector to funtion properly. And you dont have to have the ambient air temp sensor for the outside for the unit to work. My DCC works fine with only the Cabin Air Temp Sensor and Sunlight Sensor. I'm in the process of writing a PDF install manual, so keep an eye out for it.

RPS13.5 I am just saying that beatupsx says in his write-up that there are three power wires that the DCC needs (the colors are the solid red, ect.). I basically just found a 12v power and used it as a temp power source.

beatupsx I think i will run a wire from the batt. strait to those wires to test it out. But everything I listed looks correct and should work? It was working when i pulled the parts off of the 180sx clip, so i know they are good.

Thanks guys!

i unpluged the blue relay on the car side and mine works, and in fact when i had it pluged in the fan didn't work right. i did ground the wires that went to it though(except for the 1 posative wire of course, i used that as one of my +wired for the dcc)

The green/red wire goes into the intake door motor the one that open or close the vent in or out of the car. You will see the plug that have 4 PIN wire and one of those is empty and basically that where it goes.
thankyou RPS13.5

would you happen to have any pictures of where it goes or go into more detail thanks.

Then you must not be using the JDM Blower Speed Resistor. It's different than the USDM one. But if you got yours to work then I guess there is more than one way to skin this cat. In my PDF manual I will have then both pluged in though, just because it's easier to just change the resistor than splice wires. But if you want to do a small write up on your splice job I can add it to the manual as an optional rought just incase someone doesn't have the corect resestor.

Yea, I just pulled the dash because one, this is my project car and I don't have to drive it every day and two, It is easy to remove and gives you lots more room to work. Also, you can remove the dash support beam and beadblast (or wash) the rust off and paint it like me!

Before:[/QUOTE] You say that the dash is easy to remove?! I've been thinking about getting another one because my dash has a crack in it that is spreadin' like butta'! Exactly how easy?

Yea i am useing a 95 maxima fan controll amp instead of the jdm one, although i don't know what difference it would make. I'm not going to pretend that i know every thing but i have looked at the jdm and maxima side by side and they look identical inside and out, but i might have missed something, i do that a lot

i do see why removing the car side relay wouuld affect the mode door though because the relay grounds the mode door when the relay is activated. it also grounds something elas i think but i can't remember what.but yea when i get a chance to look at my friends stock wiring i'll do a write up for you.

i would realy love to get a look at the jdm wiring in the car so i could know exactly how everything was hooked up, i just like having everything hooked up as close to stock as possible. or at least lookin like it was stock.

Yes the stock mode door motor will work, there is a picture of how I mounted my mix door motor in my write up on the dcc install linked in my sig.(I cut a little off the mix door motor and made a couple of brackets out of sheet metal)

The mix door is the "hot/cold door". the mode door is the head/defrost/feet motor.

Beatupsx- man, after the headlight thing I got a little heartbroken lol. I really want to get this thing working but I would rather get my SR in. so, I have spent the last week removing the KA, pressure washing the engine bay, polishing the engine bay, and prepping the block for when I get the head back from the shop (Monday...today). I have a car show I am going to on Friday so I have 5 days to assemble the engine (greddy oil pan and some new motor mounts for the block. head surface, head ported, crower valve springs w/ titanium retainers, new exhaust valve guides, valve grind, valve seat cut, new valve seals, cometic metal headgasket, and a stainless exhaust manifold w/ down pipe for the head), install it into the 240 and get it running. It is going to be some work, but there is noting better than spending time working on my car!!! Anyway, after the car show (if it gets done!) I will get back after the DCC (now it is just mounted up w/ no power) and run the power wires from the bat. To check to see if that is my problem, then I will post up what I found and possibly ask for more help. lol Thanks for the help up to this point, your write-up has been a huge factor in my install. -Dan

There is a pic in this thread somewhere.

Guys alot of the questions ya'll are asking can be answered by searching through this thread or my dcc write up linked in my sig, so please search first, and if you need pics of any of the componets 99.9% of them are pictured in this thread.

hmmmmm. You know, I don't remember (or see it on beatupsx's write-up) that plug could it be my problem? Like I said, I pulled the parts off of a front clip that had working climate controll so I have acess to all of it and know it works. Is that plug on the DCC sub-harness or do you cut it off of the main dash harness? Thanks rps13.5!

That plug is on the dcc sub harness and some of the wires that need power and the wires for outside temp sensor are on that plug. Its in my right up, I just used the wire colors for the side of the plug on the dcc sub harness.

I know i did take a wire out of another connector (green w/ white) and put it into the other one for power. Is the connector that i took the green w/ white out of the connector in question?
