YOU'RE SLIDING. That means you have no traction. The only way to change your car's direction is if you have traction.
dude plenty of times when ive slid its not in a straight line. true traction is important, but there is no such thing as no traction. even when sliding there is traction (very little) look up mew (the coefficient of sliding friction). turns can be made based on the throttle. while sliding, giving gas causes the car to turn as well as braking techniques to weight shift
