Thanks to the pics of Bushido's car, Adrian posting the pics and Simmode1 posting in just about every thread related to these Rotas P45rs I'm defintiely planning to order some in the next few weeks. I'm gonna go with the bronze color but with 17x9.5 +12 Offset. Rear I'll just give a slight pull to cover the extra 3mm and hopefully do the same with the front. Even though this thread is dead I'll post pics once I get them with tires and on my car

I should get them in about 2 weeks and then a week or 2 after that have them mounted on my car with tires. Do you think 225/45/17 will clear fine as far as any rubbing??

Yes, a 225/40 on a 9.5 inch tire is a big stretch, but if you get the +15 offset wheels, you're kinda stuck with that size as very little else fits.

My opinion has changed alot since this thread first started and new sizes have become available. I'd rather not stretch tires much nowadays. Now I think I'd prefer something like 17x9+25 235/40 & 17x9.5+30 255/40 more now. With these offsets you might be able to fit even more rubber than that on an s13. Dammitboy is running these specs...

Someone mentioned the p45rs in 17x9.5. what about a set up with p45f's in 17x7.5 +12 in front and the p45rs in 17x9.5 +12 in back on eibach sportlines and kyb agxs?

F*** NO. Do that if you want to get laughed at.

S13's can fit 9 inch wheels and tires up front and more. Anything less than 9 inches wide on an s13 is girly fitment. Don't spend money on new wheels for girly fitment.

Yes, it is old. And yes, there is a 17x9+12, there are pics posted in one of the other P45R threads. But this thread is sooo old, that size hadn't been released back then...

The 17's are now available for four lug in:17x9+1217x9+2517x9.5+1217x9.5+30

Yes, he's on coilovers. And actually, s13's can fit 18x10+12 up front under stock fenders.

bushidooooo
You actually helped make my decision on which rims to choose, Grids or p45r´s.
Your car looks awesome.
Im using front r33 calipers front and z32 rear on a S13 240sx HB.

Just wanted to know what would be a good stock setup for the p45.
I just use kyb shocks and tein stech springs
Also changed the car with 5 lug hubs.

17 x 9.5 +30 all around? fit well?

Bushido is hardly ever on NICO... get lower offsets. The 17x9.5+30 will probably rub your fender lining up front.

Since you're 5 lug now, either try the 17x9.5+12's or the 18x9.5+20's...

Hi,
thx for the fast reply.
Rota seems to have 17 x 9.5 +12 just in 4 lug
The only they have in +12 offset with 5 lug is 18 x 9.5
Least offset with 17x 9.5 (5 lug) is +25

Any suggestions?
thx once again

Yeah, if you were gonna pick Rota's you would have been better off staying 4 lug. But this size chart does show that 18x9.5+20 and 18x9.5+12 are available for 5 lug.
http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=31

But that chart might be out of date now. I looked around on Wheeldude.com and 18racing.com and the 18x9.5+20 seems to be the lowest offset available for 5 lug...

If you really want to be like Bushido, 18x9.5+20 all around is your best bet... cuz he was 18x9.5+15.

Or you could be like Skilz and run staggered: 17x9+25 and 17x9.5+30. I'd be tempted to stay with 17's for cheaper tires. And these offsets will fit some nice meaty rubber under your fenders...

Hey simmode, thx a lot for the help, really appreciate it.

How about : 17x9 +25 FRONT
18 x 9.5 +20 REAR
What size tires you recommend with this setup? Will it rub?

or if this setup dont work, which tires with silk setup u recommended?

thx once again

That would be really good. You'll have quite a bit of flexibility on tire sizes with those offsets. Personally, I would go 235/40/17 and 255/35/18, but I know some ppl prefer smaller stretched tires...

that setup with those tires, would be flush? what other mods? baseball bat push and pull fenders? any mods?
also would those tire sizes w/ rims fit kyb gr2 shocks w/ tein stech lowering springs?

sorry for many questions, im a noob...

Will it be flush? I suppose that depends on your definition or idea of flush. It would be flush enough for me. Look through this thread: rota-p45r-for-s13-coupe-t372514.html

Dammitboy used the 17x9+25 up front too. This will give you an idea of how flush it will be.

As for fender mods, a roll is probably the most you'll need, but I would be more concerned with the tires rubbing your wheel well's fender lining up front. But your spring/strut set up might not be low enough to have to worry about that. If it does rub the lining, either mash the lining flat with a rubber mallet until its out of the way, add a small spacer (like 5mm) or just remove the lining. No big deal.

The tire sizes I recommended to you are very close to the s13's original total tire diameter. Meaning: if stock diameter tires fit, so will these. You won't have to worry about the tires being too tall for your springs.
