We are getting a little off topic.

No, coilovers are different. I can only see that if they get 30+ people in. CMS is already doing a great job in getting the first batch. Its very limited production still.

Off topic: I just bought new Project Kics R40 neo chrome lugs to replace my Rays. Personally I think they will look better than having the anodized red color.

dude, the car looks awesome, i just sent payment. one question tho is have u driven over a speed bump? id imagine that would cause problems for me considering ny thinks its a good idea to put a crapload of big chunks of cement in the middle of the road. but YAY now i have coilovers and no money

Just got it today around 7pm .. started installing it at 8pm .. got done at 12(Ran into some problem with the studs on my car, since dealership strip 2 of it ..gotta take it back again! they strip the front left first 2 fix it... now i found out my rear has 2 strip lugs) now im running on 3nuts for my left rear GAY! .. overall installation was a breeze a lot easier then springs. I have a sand like noise coming from the back not sure wth it is but gonna check 2mrw when i drop it to the floor =]

as of now stock height im sitting 5 in off the ground. Ride quality is great for coilovers .. i cant agree with Loop about being smoother then springs =/ i think my springs was smoother .. this is more stiffer even on max soft lol. Houston roads = crap

My the handling is like 100% more improve compare to my old springs/oemshocks. Like a dream come true =]

Overall - I freaking give a

Will make a thread with pix and all later :O sorry loop for thread jacking

oh btw my kit did not come with the m12x1.25 i had to go to autozone for it.

you can always ask for softer springs if the 7K front and rear are too harsh guys!

Not sure what sand noise is. Could you explain more? Make sure to preload the rear when installing.

Take in consideration when lowering the car even more, the ride tends to get more harsh. My ride is not harsh and I am running 15F/15R.

Mine make no noise, I tired out 0F/0R that was insane stiff changed it after a week. Currently the ride smooth but just those certain streets is where I notice. I dunno what magical road your driving on here in So Cal that yours arent a little harsh!!

After i drop it, the noise was gone.

The rear drops perfectly and i can go even more np. But now my question is the front..

Has anyone reach to the point where you cant drop it anymore without messing with the preload settings?

Like shorten the strut all the way up. so basically the 3 rotating pieces are tightly together, and in result my drop still had wheel gap.

My question is that Is there any way to drop it more without messing with the preload settings of the spring? i notice from stock height on the coilover shortening the strut all the way only resulted in an inch drop

as you can see all 3 rings are tightly together. oh in this pix it not all the way shorten yet but it is. I loosen up the lower ring all the towards the other 2 rings . and then use the wrench to shorten it.

Maybe i'm just doing it wrong. Correct me if i'm wrong guys.

Reply asap guys. thanks

Oh and one more thing. I'm thinking of getting a firestone lifetime alignment. any thoughts on that?

Loop,

Is there any bounce when driving down the road? or Is the dampening syncronized with the spring? Is the ride harsh over bumps? I have the Eibachs and they are pretty comfortable.

Thanks,

Ok well they can do softer springrates so I'm getting 5kg/mm front and rear springs. should be really smooth. 5kg/mm = 280 lbs/in rates of compression per springs and btw 7kg/mm = 392 lbs/in.

I'll give y'all a review on those rates once I get them so you know how it compares to the eiback drop.

anybody know how forgiving these coilovers are over bumps. I'm thinking you can use the eibach springs on the rear with the bc shock absorbing but not sure of the overall bal of the vehicle. any thoughts?

here's some quotes from this thread on the 7k front and rear springs:

Could someone please define what bump means to you? I could answer your questions better.

I don't have an issue going over speed bumps, but I am also going slow over them because of my car being low.

When you said insane stiff, were you on the max setting on hard? Some people count from either soft or hard first. Though it seems like you said you were on max since you changed it(?)

I guess it depends on what your preference is harsh. The only time I find it a little harsh is if the road increases by 2-3 inch drastically. But the car just rebounds back onto the road fast which makes it feel like nothing at times. The only unpleasant difference is just the sound has increase because of the pillowball mounts. Its not rubber anymore.

Yes, definitely get it. Specially if your changing heights frequently. It will mess with your toe, camber, etc..

1 question. After installation, is my car gonna be lower than the stock or I have to adjust the height ?

Loop wrote:Ride height adjustability: I did not adjust mine and used the settings it came from the factory. Definitely has potential to be lowered more and go back to stock height. You can adjust these to your style. This isn't hard to do, you will need to take off your wheel and use the supplied wrench BC Racing gives you. Follow its instructions for proper lowering or heightening. The reason why I haven't adjusted mine yet is because I am letting it settle and I can go from there. Even without adjusting, it is lower than my Eibach springs still. Which I will be showing pictures later on this post.

Yes, it is straight forward. The hardest part is just removing your old suspension.

Hey Loop, If the hole was enlarged big enough so that the camber adjustments were not hidden like in this picture, will / would it work?

It's the only thing that's keeping me form getting this. I don't want to be taking off the coilover everytime the camber needs to be adjusted.

I am not sure how safe it is, but if you were able to englarge the hole. Then you are able to adjust the camber. Having the camber feature is just a bonus.
