ever think of coming up for clubloose
actually i did not have a full cage then. i only had a 4point rear roll over basically. after the incident i decided i would put a full cage in the new shell. if i did have a full cage and door bars when i hit the pole i am pretty sure it wouldnt have been anywhere near as much damage to the shell.

need to get updated pics for this thread. hopefully i can snap some when my friend and i put the new rear suspension arms on and give the car a fresh alignment. plus it needs a re-tune since the motor has seen 2 events since its initial (maybe 10miles) break-in. thinking of adding an exhaust cam gear as well to take full advantage of the BC 264 cams.

well it seems i cant stop going for that extra gusto and failing. wrecked into a wall this time. luckily i was able to scrub a good bit of speed so i hit it at maybe 20-30mph and did minor cosmetic damage and some core warping. nothing some zipties and a come-along wont temporarily fix. thankfully i had decided not to put the front bumper on that day or it would have been toast. oh and somehow the hood survived....a small crack on the underside and some scarring on the driver side front corner. only thing that was upsetting was the damage to the lip of my front wheel that contacted the wall. it now has a straight section. almost forgot.....sanpped the heim joint on the driver BV lower control arm.

no worries tho as new heim joint ordered, wheel is being repaired, shell is getting some come-along massaging, and found a replacement headlight. now to get new air filter, headlight bracket, fenders (prolly pick up a pair of the origin 40mm this time) and corner light.

wheel is being repaired and should be back on car monday. yea i am also very very glad this wreck was nothing like the last one. just cosmetic damage and a small amount of suspension damage.....and the wheel. should be drivable before thursday......least it better be. got an event on the 14th.

ziptied my fender back together. hoping to be able to make crashbar close to normal so i put front bumper on there. wont have driver headlight/corner light, but its being trailered so who cares. fender looks nuts with the 20+ zip ties

got it from raceonusa.com. its a chargespeed knockoff.

well got the car back together somewhat. the BV LCA on driver side was completely fubar. so replaced both with s14 LCAs. had to borrow a friends tension rod since i bent the crap out of the driver side. still need new inner tie rods.....driver side slightly bent, usuable but needs replacing. was able to pull most of the core close to normal, but the driver frame rail got tweaked and pushed back about an inch from the wreck so the tension rod pick up point had to be moved to allow for a decent alignment. swaybar pick up point on driver side is way off causing the endlink to sit at a 45 degree angle.

zip-tied the driver fender back together for an event last weekend. kinda like it:

and last great pic from the day of wreck. this was not long before the wall smack:

and something that finally came in today. been waiting 3 months for these bad boys to be made and shipped:

well i gave the front flares to friend of mine..he is using them for rear flares. hoping to find something a little different for front fenders this time around....getting stock metal sil fenders is a pain in the butt (especially ones in near perfect shape...wish i would have just kept my OEM sil fenders, but i traded them for the wide ones).

dirt droppin and keeping your line is so much fun!!!!!!! joshua freakin rocks with a camera and editing programs. as for paint....its prolly going to stay as is until mid season. really love the multicolor...but its kinda gettin old now (maybe cause i see it day after day) plus it reminds too much of beat to hell 240s with no styling whatsoever cause they are literally thrown together.

so i measured the rear wheel fitment. i measured from the rear quarter panel out.....i didnt roll/pull the rears out. i simply cut them to install the flares ,but from the cutting, shaping, welding, and fire foam they may have been pushed/pulled out some. so i am not sure how 100% accurate these measurements.......but here goes.

the rear flares sit 63mm out from the stock panel.

the inner side of the outward lip sits 71mm out form the stock panel.

so looks like either stick with the rear flares, or pray i can bow a Origin Type 3 (50-60mm) coupe rear over out far enough, or pray i somehow come across some 70mm KoguchiPower coupe rear overs.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............

well looks like i am going to try the Origin Type 3 50-60mm rear overs first since they are cheaper than koguchi and would be much easier to sell if they dont fit how i want them too.

in other news; picked up a half decent non-rolling shell to yank the front driver side and core support off of. hopefully going to get working on that soon. then rip my tweaked stuff off, make sure the car is straight, then put the newly acquired front chassis stuff on, stitch weld the engine bay, re-paint the engine bay, bolt everything back on, get new front fenders, get rear overs, send it off to paint.

slapped a new vinyl behemoth on the hood;

made some nice runs at another SED turner event;

talk about consistency! three different runs...wouldnt be able to tell if not for the rear wheels being different

started harvesting pieces to get my car back to its straight self;

and got some nice large fiberglass pieces in and test fitted them;

going to have to add a little bit more negative camber and bow the overs out to fit my 18x12s properly, and i still need to cut the fender up more for better wheel clearance so i could go lower if wanted to.
