I got it clean when it arrived.

So did you get the coolant sensor from a 1993 fit on the piece from a 1993 Q45?

And did you get the hose you wanted or did you bend another one?

The hose in the picture is the one I need and confused with the rocker cover one on the diagram.Yeah it screws right in.Just that the plugs were different I just need to know how I can clean that sensor or if I should.

You know you liked my PS of the Q45.

Use a small medium stiffness steel bristled brush to clean the sensor off.

Be careful of how much pressure you apply.

I will post it up to get some opinions unless you want to post it up.

But if it plugs in then great, and just use electrical parts cleaner to clean the sensor if needed Clean and lightly grease the plug too.

I will give IOS a call and see if the hose I have is the one you need.

As far as the valley goes mines has alot of black gunk and I've been using brakes parts cleaner with the intake runners plugged also a shop vac to suck up the nasty. Do you think the gunk would cause the engine to run just a little hotter? I did smell something burning when I was driving the car a month ago but didn't know where it was coming from.

Cleaning the topside of the block will get you into Nissan heaven.

Also, you will better be able to tell when things go wonker underneath.

Solvents, siphon pump, and vacuum will do wonders.

New update finally got my injectors in the rails.I used the Vaseline method. If i messed up oh well. How much are the 94+ rails with injectors?Just had it in mind.Enjoy.

Pictures:

Under my stairs:

Inside plenum again:

Old thermostat (my teacher said it's in good condition for an aged one):

Inside my house I got bored:

Step by step lube up (also made a video that I have to upload):1.Grab the rail and admire how clean it's inside.

2.Grab the Vaseline and make sure it's 100% Petroleum so it's burns. Not this because it's old:

3.Swab up the inside with Vaseline.

4.Look and make sure it looks good.

5.Grab the injector and look how clean it is.

6.Slide both NEW lower and upper ring on.

7.Lube the rings and make sure not to get any on the mesh filter of the injector.

8.Slide it in the rail.

9.With force push it in STRAIGHT down. It's kind of hard.

10.Make sure it's all the way in.

11.Make sure lower ring looks good and flush.

12.Done.

***Progress being delayed***

I bought some knock sensors that the seller sold as non-aftermarket.So i call them because they were lagging on replying my message and asked them if it was, turns out they're aftermarket.

My plan was to receive them and get a refund but didn't work as I thought. So i track & confirm today and the package was sent back to the seller. Guess it was to meant to get OEM ones. Right after I bought the aftermarket ones the seller who had OEM ones sent me an invoice lol.

Well will post ones everything starts going back in.

What did you use to clean your fuel rails? How did you clean your injectors? What about your fuel damper, those small canister things I think there's two of them. Looking good! i plan on posting some pictures of my plenum I got it real clean on the inside. Still dirty by the 8 holes though. More cleaner. In a minute my sir!

My fuel rails I used brake cleaner then ended up sanding them but it doesn't really do much except turn them silver. My injectors soaked them in Redline SI-1 complete fuel system cleaner it's like $8 I think a bottle.I just used the whole bottle in 2-3 different cups.I soaked the whole thing but somebody told me not to get the connectors wet so keep that in mind it was too late for me.I ohmed them again to make sure they weren't bad either. The fuel damper I sanded it down that's all.It came out silver I was like

Thanks and I sandblasted the Plenum,If you do that don't sandblast the inside because if you leave some of the sanblast inside it'll tear the pistons into dust.

You can email me for faster replies at [email protected] more to come.

edit:Knock sensors came in aftermarket ones.Well sorry to disappoint you guys but I have to pur these on because I cant be with out a car anymore. If they fail well then I shall do double the work again.

****UPDATE****

So today I started putting things back on and looks good so far.One major problem was the coolant hoses that I had to replace, they were a B***H to get on right. One of the aluminum part,to the driver side, had RTV on it from the time I put in it's place and I had to pry it off again. Then when putting it all back together the holes wouldn't line up so I got a long screw driver to line them up and put the screw it.I just hope all the RTV didn't just wipe off.

In the update here's what I've done:

My knock sensors ( they are aftermarket don't have time to reorder):

Comparing to old knock:

Some coolant dots that came and never went away so I gave up :

Before using Carb cleaner (the block is dirtier then in the pic):

After using Carb cleaner (dots came back a little bit):

Coolant hoses in place (one of the clamps ahs a hand screw knob should I break it off or leave it?It's plastic.):

Knock sensors in place:

Is this how the cable goes?(what KS plug goes to what? The R goes to?The L goes to?Please explain as me view the engine):

(I put electrical tape on all the plugs even injectors just so they don't crack)

Talk about junk in the car:

How to replace Thermostat (photoshop picture will be done soon):1.Remove the black bar and tube where my finger is:

2.Unscrew hose clamp on the radiator hose:

3.Once lose move around and push back. Now to pry off you can spray PB blaster (I used) or WD-40 and a flat head to get under it and push.My hose was soft so if it's stiff it maybe crack.

4.Then remove top bolt,side bolt,and bottom bolt.

5.Get a flat head and pry off.

6.You will see the thermostat sitting there just pull it out and say "damn it's old"

7.Then clean the RTV off the top you took off.

8.Put RTV on the top and on the inside part of the screw holes,Not around the outside of the holes or it won't seal right.

9.Put Thermostat in place with the embossed arrow facing up and then make sure you get the top on right as it wont fit in any way even though it's a triangle. One side has a hill slope on the edge.

I'll photo shop a picture later.

EDIT:I looked inside the valley and the part where the runners go if you look up it's all crispy there of coolant any idea?Hope my head gasket good still.

A little In-N-Out fact:They are owned by Mormons and if you look under the inside part of the cup it has a bible chapter. This one says John 3:16

Glad to see you're getting it put back together finally! I love the black on black interior...

I can't believe I went to SF and didn't try an in-n-out burger... I hear they're very good.

I got a carfax on my VIN and it had like 8 owners and traveled all bay area. Now I know why the car was all rusted underneath, because it was in SF. It's the moist fault.

I say Q45 meet Norcal maybe when I'm done?Or when my car slammed?

We can eat In-N-Out!!!

Actually, it is the arrow that is embossed that has to be vertical at the top. The thermostat support rib will be at this approximate angle: \

Didn't use enough RTV the first time and had to remove it and clean and reapply RTV.

1/3 Done!!!Injector caps not on yet.

^^^BEAST^^^

I hope I got all the plugs in the right place.Correct me if I'm wrong the L labeled plug from the KS harness goes on the passenger and the R on driver right? The L is longer then the R plug. Also the yellow plug of the coolant temp sensor goes on the on no under the plenum?I got a faded yellow one too.

Where these go or connect to(Paint picture or demonstration will do)?^^^Comes off the metal tube where the IAC hose goes.

Then there's this one it's bigger. You can see the one from the top there too.

Need help putting the fuel hoses and stuff together.Where does this one hook up to?

Where this one go?

Where the fuel thing go?

Where this go to?The driver side had a plug on the side wall.

Found a cover plug???

Then a plug next to it.

Where these go to?

How to I connect this?I couldn't figure it out.

If I need to label them let me know. It's not easy to put together but it's been so long so now it's even harder.

Mod should change the topic and put warning theres more than 100 pics here.

Actually your incorrect. It doesn't show where all the little hoses go.Plus it doesn't tell me how to set up the fuel lines and stuff.I got the 93 Q45 FSM I looked through it.I got some diagrams so thanks though. Anybody think it's good so far?

EM-6 in the 1995 FSM shows the under plenum fuel hoses explicitly.

The FAST diagrams can help also once you understand how the system interface.

Be sure to use a calibrated torque wrench and new gaskets or you will be doing it again, and again, and again.......

PS: "You are" is contracted properly as "you're". "Your" is the second person possessive pronoun, and they are both homonyms, thus not synonyms.
