Well,

Since it doesnt seem that Fast Intentions is going to be producing the HFC's and/or test pipes, I think I'll just jump on this and not be the only 3.5 SE in the Boston area to not have one.

Importroller wrote:Ok, now for me, I didn't really notice anything different at first today when I was on the highway heading to the meet, but on my way back, I had more stretches of open freeway to open it up a bit. And I noticed something. My biggest gain was acceleration from mid RPM range all the way to redline. So from around 3500-6800 rpms, my car is just accelerating faster and faster through every gear. I run out 1st gear a lil quicker now. Sound wise, I can't really tell if its louder since I still have the stock resonator. But I can definately feel the increased TQ, and on the highway the higher TQ combines nicely with the HP and just pulls the car along faster.

phuck you Shawn... now that freak motor of yours has even more of a reason to continue embarrassing local 3.5 Altimas, G's and Z's.... Jay told me how you embarrassed his G on the highway when he hit 130, and you flew by him like he was standing still...LOL

but seriously, sounds good bruh!

I ordered on the 16th, it shipped on the 18th, and projected arrival is the 25th. The only thing thats getting on my nerves is that it's been in Syracuse, NY since Fri. with no updates today and thats along way from central OK. I hope it gets here Thurs. Fed-ex seems soooo slow.

So to answer your question about 6-8 business days

Odd. Mine arrived at Syracuse at 4:59 AM on Saturday, and left at 9:23 AM that same day. It was only there about 4 1/2 hours. I'm in central PA, so not that far from NY, and I'm supposed to get it tomorrow! Hope yours gets moving again soon.

I got mine installed yesterday. I headed up to Joe's place and picked it up and he was nice enough to install it for me! It sounds awesome! I have the Stillen exhaust and the pipe made it a bit deeper. The Stillen exhaust has the resonator so it didn't go too loud or raspy. You can definately feel the difference in power through pretty much the whole RPM range. I opened it up on the freeway and it pulled quite nicely. I'd say it's one of the best upgrades for the money.

Can you post a few clips w/ revs and driveby?

I might add a resonator to my set up as it got pretty loud after install..

I think I did that to you on the 15 once coming back from temecula too And then did it to Damion's SE-r You should see this thing accelerate now in 3rd and 4th gear, Its much smother and just keeps pulling

Here's my 08 coupe with intake pulley NISMO catback and Racingline Y-pipe.....

It may sound raspy in the video however it is pretty smooth in person... Also I just had it installed a few hours ago, it might need time to settle in...

Definitely feels faster, especially around the 2800-3000+ RPMS...Sounds exactly like a 350z with an exhaust and midpipe work done...It still has the ability to be quiet in lower RPMS. Definitely worth it

Enjoy....

Great vid! It sounds really good!!

I got mine sitting here.. waiting for this weekend to be installed I have intake and Nismo catback too, so I'm guessing mine will sound pretty similar. I can't wait!

I've searched, but I couldn't come up with anything. In PA we obviously have emissions tests, would we still pass with the ypipe installed? I know it deletes the unmetered cat and it doesn't trip the CEL, but is their a physical test where they look under the car? Would it fail the sniffer test?

It may fail the physical inspection, but not the sniffer. But I dont think you need to worry about emmissions for another 3-4 years. My next emissions test isn't until 2013 on a 2007

Hey XXplosive, I'm wondering how the Ypipe will sound on a stock exhaust. If you can, can you please take before and after videos. I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks man!

alright so i installed my y-pipe on my stock exhaust and while i was doing it i realized the the two bolts on the end of the old pipe werent gonna work anymore with the new one, luckily i had some laying around that fit, im thinking this is probably gonna only be a problem with those of us with stock exhaust, unless they were supposed to send me two bolts that i never received???

anyways i took video with the pipe installed n my camera's sound quality was horrible, im trying to borrow my friends newer camera n ill post some vids up

but i CAN tell you that there is DEFINATELY a sound difference if you have a stock exhaust. umm everyones been saying that it sounds Raspier and thats probably the best way to explain it. sounds reaaaallly nice when i turn the car on and when i'm smashing on the gas.

i got it mainly for performance and was Very satisfied with the pipe. i noticed no loss at low end (which originally was a reason i wasnt gonna get it). DEFINATELY worth the money

I think that might have been the case. I got mine sitting right here (can't install till early next week ) but I did open up the box and there is a little bag with two bolts, nuts & washers.
