I personally know 5 people who play Xbox and I am the only one who uses a wired connection. My brother used to have issues but it was my router and not his adapter. I think more people use wireless then you think MoD.

Also I realize this is an old post.

HAHA please list them...The only features it has over PS3 is Last.fm and you can jump on PS3's browser if you want to stream music. Other then that you are paying $50 for Major's Minute and Jessica Chobot's cleavage...

Money well spent

I just ordered a PS3, I hope I don't regret it. The PS3 doesn't really have too many games. Most of the games PS3 has you can get on the 360. I got MGS4 and Uncharted for starters.

I hope I still play my PS3 when my Xbox comes back.

I finally want a PS3. Uncharted 2 is excellent (a friend has it). I want the God of War collection and will want GoW 3. Little Big Planet is more desirable than ever now that it supports cooperative level design. And now that I have an HDTV it'd be nice to have a Bluray player/DVD player with good upscaler for watching movies.

The PS3 slim has also made a really positive impression on me with its quietness. The 360 is intolerably loud, always has been. But the Slim is nearly silent. I can see buying the PS3 version of a game just for the reward of not having to hear the 360's fans running while playing it.

I think the chirpy beeping noises the PS3 slim makes when the power and eject buttons are pressed are SUPER cheesy and cheap sounding, though. Why does it need to make noises at all? The slim has real tactile buttons, not touchpad dealies. You feel the button click. The beep is unnecessary.

i concur. Yet another reason i bought a ps3. Xbox sounds like a damn airliner taking off ALL THE TIME. Ps3 is smooth and silent.

Install game on 360. Enjoy quiet.

I would say "less loud" but certainly not quiet. The DVD drive is only part of the problem. The 360 is still SIGNIFICANTLY louder than the PS3 even with an installed game playing...and I say this from side-by-side experience.

The 360 is simply at a disadvantage when it comes to noise due to the cooling design. The PS3 slim devotes MOST of its case space to a very large fan and air ducts. That big fan doesn't need to spin very fast to move a lot of air. The 360 is the exact opposite, with a teenytinyminibaby fan spinning reallyreally fast. Naturally, the 360 will make more fan noise.

And when it comes to playing movies, the 360 is screwed, because that DVD drive isn't optional for that.

not much games on the PS3 yet, I just have MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted. I bought a PS3 to kill time until my Xbox comes back from repair. I played too much COd MW2.
