Aw man that's funny. I almost picked up an e30 for a winter daily before I went hardbody. They've always been a sweet car to me, kinda like the euro 240sx. But even an oil change gets pricey so I scrapped that idea lol.

No prob wetdreams LOL ><. I didn't have to strike the hammer nearly as hard as I thought i'd have to. The rears are easier to remove than the fronts. But I did use penatrating oil around the press fit.

Alroight!
Had some fun over the weekend. I washed the car and I noticed my clear was pretty faded being as I never waxed or polished it much since the day Keegan Doug and I buffed out the paint ball splatter marks it came with from previous owners.
Obviously I don't polish the whole way down lol, only to the body tape line because below there it's fine being out of the sun and so old and slightly chipped.
Image

Went to the ASME PSU car show, it's basically a fund raiser for the engineering club :)
I don't have a lot of good interior shots, here's some creative ones.:
Image
Blue on blueeee. Been needing to fix the vents since day 1. Lol..

Just a nice cast shadow picture:

Car looks greattt, it's been awhile since I spent a lot of time on the exterior. I need to get better resolution pics but here's some my friend took. His car is the s14 and his girl's is the s13. They're both new to him thus the work in progress look.
Image
YES I brought the truck too! Girlfriend drove it down lol, people love the mexican seat cover. Workin on tires, painted half the wagon steel wheels so far.
Image

Dats about it. Sourcing tires for the hardbody, Jonny fraz won't get back to me about fender braces!! lol.. Autox oct 24th. New rear wheels arriving wed this week :) Test fit then decide on tire brand/size

Edit durrr I forgot the best pic. Cleaned it yet again :D This was before polishing the aluminum bits too.

Thanks Jason ;) Thx for the pics.
Picking up wheels tomorrow because UPS fails to be accurate with their estimated delivery times.
Made a driving vid tonight coming back from campus with the red supra dude (Forrest) who's car has made an appearance in this thread a few times.

My first windows movie maker session was a quick success lol.

A few pics from the week because the 240 was still clean from the car show:
Wheels look nice when they're actually clean. I tried to savor the moments lol.

I like this one. Daily in the background. None of my neighbors ran into it yet. I guess because the CHROME bumpers would hurt their cars a BIT more than s13 quarter panels... heh

Because the overall diameter of these 16" stretched tires is too small for my liking. It definitely can't hold the power of a mildly built sr.
Image
17x8.5 +4mm
Barrel looks nice and big. Hankook evo v12 tires are what I'll most likely get. I want some good grip with a stretch, not a s*** falken 512.

Do not fear, these will allow me to upgrade yet keep my oldschool/newschool merging look.

Tom did you look up sizes for a falken ziex 912? You remember how grippy mine were. The fk452's were damn nice too.

It's like Get way in Stockholm but in Lancaster. Just replace the 911 with a 240sx, and the Stockholm streets with back roads through farmland. I should make a "Get away in Virginia" but it would end with me getting on the highway and then getting pulled over for my exhaust, being ticketed, and then shot.

Joel that is a good point, but I'm willing to try those hankooks if they don't run too wide. I've run hankooks before, couldn't break em loose on a cavalier suspension ROFL.. so eh, take it w/ a grain of salt :P.

Yes I wish they made 452's in my desired size, it would be an easy sale but they dont.
912 we will see, looks like they stretch nice and u can rotate them easier for tread life HRMMMM..

Bumnah I haven't seen that movie but I think you're referring to the video? lol.

Lol kiet, perfect smiley for your post. I'm looking for a 205/45/17. If I can see it in person and determine stretch then maybe 215/40 but honesly thats too small in overall diameter. My goal for now is to have the correct OD wheel AND tire setup.
Needs lowered and tires and compressed, and maybe camber.

Y'all know test fit days are fun as hell ;)

205/45 is gonna SUUUCK for only 8.5 wide. Finn runs 205/40/17 on x8's and its a perfect stretch. You need 215/40 or 235/40(my fave size).

205's won't hook for anything. Not on your unnaturally strong SR...

Maybe you should stop stretching your tires and it'll hook up, Didderson. :gapteeth:

We'll see. You're talking about 1 centimeter treadwidth. On the increased camber I'd need to run it, that doesnt even make a difference.

It's not a falken so it wont run small, itll be fine. I'm tired of barely stretched tires. I am also in posession of wheels that need a stretch or buy over fenders and have nascar sized tires.
Image

Idk. I will have a nice grip set of wheels at another time in my life, right now I think it's about time I lowered it more and got some lip poking out like a wrong fitment crew. Nobody's ever run a stretch on these wheels before.
Show me a 452 on an 8.5 thats not a pic on tyrestretch.com (bc iv seen them all there arent many) and maybe I'll concede.

But yes, deep down inside I want a dorky looking tire with lots of grip. You're correct razi lol.

Hey man, you are exactly right, we just headed straight east and ended up probably just south of ferruggiaro park haha. Nice area :bigthumb: Saw a lambo in our short time there.

Yes I love FD I can't wait to go back :) I get reminded of the fun when I see the events again and it reminds me not to miss them.

I did end up buying the 205/45 hankook evo 12's. They will be here tomorrow. Amazing deal on those tires right now especially with the rebate. Discounttiresdirect.com. Their actual dimensions are on par with that of the falken 912 series.

I'm gearing up for the rear altima rotor conversion. I managed to bang these rear caliper brackets off a rusty a** 300zx (z31) turbo a few weeks ago. Here they are painted with new permatex ultra brake disc lube inside the pins, and new caliper sliders (because I beat up the old ones and they were rustyish). I cleaned the rubber boots and 2 were torn, so I used some s13 slider boots I had lying around and they're the exact same dimensions.
The slider pins are also identical. I put white lithium grease on the outside of them to help keep the rubber supple over time. But on the inside, the green permatex pin and caliper lube takes care of ensuring rubber longevity as well.
Image
The advanceautoparts.com paper is a printout of their 2003 altima brake rotor price because I've found their prices are different in person sometimes, so I bring ammunition.

Maybe pics of mounted tires on friday? If I don't mount them friday I can't have them mounted for another week! urgh!

My bad man lol. Went to the shop and they said they wouldn't mount em til I pre-stretched them:
So I did: Image
But they aren't open til monday. I'll have to wait another week for wheels/tires. That's fine because I will have to redo my camber probably.

Got sum other shtuff done yesterday. Rear has plenty of bias haha... I think im gonna get a 300zx master cylinder.
Image

Got this thang installed too. Don't notice it that much yet because of the simultaneous upgrades.
