Sorry I write so much.

Let me try to piece these pictures in the order they occured today lol.First thing today was cutting the brake dust shields off. I did this last time with a pair of shears keegan let me borrow and I ended up braking them just as I finished. This time my electric grinder/cutoff was a real breeze. Just try to ignore the sparks landing in your socks or down your glove etc... Much cleaner this time.

There was some rust probably from a bit of brake fluid leaking from years past. I got to it as best I could for now and sprayed it with some rust tough. This is before the spray:

If you've ever tried to replace a license plate bulb you probably had the 8mm bolts shear off on you because of rust. I remove this whole metal bracket in favor of weight savings and because the old bracket usually is a crumbly rusty mess, just use zipties! 2nd car I've done this one now lol.

A small weight removal plug, I always remove this rusty concoction too... It's a metal bracket to hold the rear bumper secured to the bottom bumper support on the frame side (so above the thing i'm holding. It's held in with plastic screw trees so I just re use the plastic trees to secure the bumper and throw away this metal. Note, it's 2x as long as it looks in this pic.Front J30 brakes installed :D

I spent about an hour perfecting the sleepy eye height. You have to get the motors pointing the arm at the exact same degree, then play with the height adjuster. I'll be doing a write up.

My car is floating! I've learned to use scissor jacks very well with the new ride height. Don't worry I have my real jack under the front holding it up, scissors as a fail safe on both sides. Rear is on jackstands in this pic. I wasn't going under the car so it's all good I'm not going to die on you guys! Getting ready for a brake bleed:

In honor of the new genesis and for those of you who know me, I am not a fan of Hyundai. This is their very first attempt at building a properly designed performance automobile. Let's just tempt them to try me 240sx ftw!

I'll be doing paint blending where the primer is tomorrow, as well as painting and installing the lip, window cleaning and maybe a wash. I did get the glove box in and I love it, but no pics sry.

Ok, take 2, i forgot to login so I wrote a long post and it said, "Log In"....sigh.....anyways I'm new to the forum, I am Tom's friend and I was over at his place on Sat. I dont own a 240 but I'm very active with cars. I own a 2005 Magnum SXT.Here are the non-cell-phone pics of Tom's car, we painted the lip and the front right fender.

Oh and I'll throw in a pic of his glove box too.

Ok hopefully this first post works, cause I know some forums dont let you post pics until you make five posts.

Thank you Joel!!! Finally my thread has megapixel worthy pictures. I like in the one pic you can see my zipties next to the lip lol. 5 zipties ftw.

The lip and fender paint is temporary. I just didn't want to roll around with primer. It's close enough for now, it's a 240

I'll be finding the ones of it at todays NE bbq meet and hotlinking probably to this post. From Tristatetuners, thanks to the picture takers and thanks for the love! It was very fun. Nice to meet those that I did, and I should have stayed longer to meet those that I didn't. 240 love was everywhere heh.

Lol yeah I don't need dem whistle tips. Lol seriously who's name is bub rub.

Anyway, I'm here to hype just a smidge in my own thread. Action shot... Of me working on it though, non moving vehicle fail. Just a cool pic.

Clay bar fixed the probably 5 year old bird s*** on the front bumper amazingly! A few dirt spots on the hood and it killed the paintball marks by 50%. Still needs a big buff job all around for me to be happy w it until a respray can be worked out.

Pic was taken when I was installing the 6" kickers into the rear. That's right purist haters, less rear interior yet again , but I did enjoy it while it lasted. Maybe someday i'll put it back in.

All hands on deck if you're free tomorrow. Resurrecting keegan's car.

I'm trying to find the latest project car magazine. Barnes and noble is sold out until thursday.

Oh It's just a wash. It looks alright. The hood's the best part. PS rear QP even after clay bar looks like someone got grubby hands all over it w a plastic brillo pad still lol.

Hey thanks tranch. What does that mean anyway? I'll spare you the necessity of asking me the same, it was a nickname based off my halo name... dorky college buddies ftw.

Anyway, I have a small update. "Test pipe" will stay on until next inspection and I started painting the rear hatch that I have waiting to go on. It came with the car ftw.

Still doin' the weight savings thang:

Oh that's right it has an extremely fake nismo logo lol.

I removed the inner window interior weather stripping and plastic parts + almost all wiring.Washed it off w dawn,400 grit wetsandwashed the wetsand particles off w dawnrubbing alcohol prep +microfiber towel

Tape and paperrrr.

You might not notice but it's a WIPERLESS hatch as well as spoilerless. I love it already, I never thought I'd want to 'ditch' my ballin' wiper option, but its so clean!

1st blue base

Cleared and done. Paint isn't perfect inside where the interior panel will cover. I'll still use that.

Most likely there's a touch of rust on the hinge mounts you have to touch up. Nissan didn't spray paint or primer on the bare metal behind them... tsk tsk.

Finishing it tomorrow.

wow I really wish I had the time and money to do all the stuff you guys are doing. maybe one day i'll completely tear apart the s14 and make it like new. you guys are really making your cars 10x better and cleaner than how they came from the factory. didderson, white comet, and mrgreeneyes to you guys haha

Thanks for the love maxey. It's just fun to work on and know that you're covered when it comes to rust and typical aging a car goes through can be slowed.

I really want to see your new s14 in person. I heard it turns heads! Hopefully that front main seal you got figured out. I was probably pretty messed up at a party when u txtd me lol.

haha, mine is kinda the same way. it's an abbreviation of my real name.

nice job on the hatch paint.

and if this is true, F*CK... because i still haven't taken my hatch off yet. and considering the condition of my upper door hinge mounts, i am dreading this now hopefully it's fine though.
