Ya idaho's. Search poweredbymax on zilvia 'dot' net for special U.S. pricing.

They're so nice, just as I remember but the new black nickel coating I like a lot! I just like the shineyness everywhere! Subframe risers came in the same box, and they didn't charge me extra shipping bc they're that nice.

All week I have off, but my mom's getting new kitchen floors and countertops so I might have to help these contractor ppl I don't know. Provided my car runs and I drive it home sunday or monday I can maybe finish the subframe this week.

Well today was pretty much the big day. I got my turbo elbow painted and installed as well as the downpipe after the elbow was tig welded to fill in a hairline crack.Oh yeah, and I started the car today!

But to start things off right, let's go in order:Painted the elbow, close up here so you might be able to tell where they welded and ground down the huge fill-in lol. Overkill is good, but I'll eventually go with a dump pipe elbow because I want extreme cool sounds... I like them.

The whole assembly with a fel pro 3" collector gasket in between:

Before I got it running I inquired about this plug which didn't have a mate from the lower harness. Keegan and I eventually assumed it wasn't needed, and I still don't know what it's for but the car runs well without it. Note the chuki hotness pink fuse block covers. I'll show you why I went with these next update when I bust out the real camera.

First 2 crank overs went well except keegan helped me realize i pulled a noob move and mixed up the fuel lines. After buying some new line I installed more new line in the rear by the fuel pump so now I have brand new softlines all the way around. I already had all new high pressure lines, but this is even better. I wouldn't recommend using a walboro fuel pump unless you at least replace your high pressure side soft lines too.

I don't have pics of the overall setup so I will get those tomorrow. Car is hesitating because my spark plugs are a range too cold and not tuned for it. Going with stock heat range iridiums tomorrow and in theory I'll have it running perfectly. Here's how she ran today: Not bad at all. I'll be in no time .

I found out I actually do have mounts lol but in that picture its kind of difficult to tell-where did your IC mount? because I dont think I cant get mine high enough w/o cutting the bumper support.

Yeah drfboy you have to cut some bumper out it's fine. they go on the 2 side rad core supports and then branch out from there. I'll have to get a better pic.

Jeff, ya i used 500* paint which doesn't bother me because I already mentioned like 500 times i'm getting a new elbow for the dump tube, so the finish as of now is just for fun.

As for idaho, lol yes I am prepared for my face to fall off when driving, but i'll try to man up. I'm sure it's no problem I've ridden in keegans car b4.

updating the engine bugs: I didn't setup the safc2 correctly and ecu is throwing the related codes to things the SAFC2 corrects, going to try it now.

Works great now guys, just had to update but I fell asleep while petting my mini panther last night lol... He's a black cat and I named him carbon last year when we got him because of the carbon on 240sx mufflers looks like his fur .

Anyway, I reset the safc2 and ecu last night, then went through proper installation procedure via my laptop pdf file ( finally i was prepared and brought this and my timing light just in case).after safc2 procedure I tried to start the car and it wouldn't fire. All these random problems and having re verifying coil packs plugged in and tps plugged in (tps was also intermittently not reading voltage) I figured i jarred some wires loose when i read codes from the ecu.

I noticed the big blue ecu plug was farther away from the ecu than normal and sure enough, it was only hand screwed in very slightly. This was obviously the source of my many intermittent problems!I screwed the ecu plug back in and BAM, she started right up with about 16-17 psi vacuum, smelled and sounded like the old days .

Much better on the throttle response now with proper ecu hookup lol...

Just goes to show you may do things and forget to completely hook things up when doing a 3 week sr swap and engine bay remodeling hehe.

I have tons of pics today from when I started to fix my old V1 car's subframe for the PBM coils and subframe risers. Also a cellphone video which you can hear the crackle of the rubber fire lol.

Just a quick run through of how to take on a task like this: have a can of WD40 to help start the fire, and a blowtorch with lots of fuel! You will need a large screwdriver, small screwdriver and a chisel. You'll probably break one chisel and one hacksaw blade so have some extra handy.

Once you get the top and bottom pretty crispy you can hammer out the metal pin inside the bushing. Once this is done the rubber inside gets way more oxygen and burns on its own really well so no more wasting blowtorch fuel. This took me the whole afternoon but I didn't really have anything else to do today so I just chilled and took my time.Hacksawing and hammering out the old bushing inserts was the most labor intensive part, and a biproduct of a day like this is a sunburnnnnnnnnn.

Front bushings burning desire:

Other side of front bushing:

I'm a pyro so this was fun.

I got smarter with the rear and put old license plates where the burning rubber ash falls to protect the 'rents sweet driveway, flames look like smokestacks:

Stir up the rubber inside every 5min or so to knock the ash off and it will keep burning strong and thoroughly.

After I knocked out the inserts I started wire wheeling the ~20years of road grime off: Note, I won't be doing the suspension arms just yet.

I did the left then stopped for a comparison pic lol:

closeup comparisons:

I finished the job with the suspension arms on because I don't have my tools at my house atm... I'll be taking them off and finishing the subframe prep tomorrow. Maybe even rustproof primering and choosing a paint or bedliner to use. I don't know what to use but I'm open to suggestions and all colors!

The vid of burning desire! Also you can catch a glimpse of my setup aka watering can, tools etc...

Aaaand a youtube channel/vid I <3 and I think you'd all adore as well: Clashproductionhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk26Ujgz-ak

Today I have a sloppy update for yous. I know how yous kids likes em sloppy!lol just a billy madison reworked quote...

I'm pretty crazy in the head, I may need help because I washed the subframe with dawn+water before paint.... I felt weird. Laid it in the sun to dry!

The other side of it before rust prep:

The color game begins! First color, the nico usual Anyone who knows 240sx' the most useful paint is duplicolor rust fix which turns rust into black primer, so you know that's not my final color.

BAYUM (chi city voice)Nope, white primer...

PBayuM orange! Yep, 2 coats into it. I saw the color at wal-fart and I just had to run with it! You could sell me anything orange (not to say anything bad about PBM stuff) because my favorite color is orange etc etc it's just how I am!

3rd coat tomorrow. I used rustoleum primer and rustoleum SPRAY cans. I bought 3 cans. Probably will only need 2. I think it's safe to say the rear subframe is less prone to rock chipping from road debris, and should be far enough away from the wheels to not have rocks flung at it also. I only want or need this paint to last 4-5 years until I redo it how bumnah did. I don't have the means or time to take the weights off now and a sandblast would have been great, but again time and money aren't my friends at the moment when I just want to get those coils on!!!

Josh helped me drive the 40 back to Lancaster on thursday iirc. (he drove the sentra to lanc, i drove the 40, then we both left for york in the sentra) BTW it runs excellent just like she used to, builds those 11lbs probably just as fast and yeah, steering precision is now beyond excellent.

When i drove him back to york we stopped at a famous shop some of you might be familiar with: I heart it very much and it's too bad they don't really work on Nissans.CBRD son! Pretty much the employees cars, and their shop specializes in mainly evos, STI or rexxes and now GTRs.

Evo10, again I think an employee car. Top shelf parts on these 4wd rigs:

Cool guy slash rich noob getting his probably 3-500 dollar catback exhaust put on: I'm not bashing him, if you have the money then by all means baby!

What an amazing garage. I'm sure every car guy/girl dreams of these! It was hard to not smile with glee everywhere I looked things are car or racing related. Not to mention they have a 4wd dyno too. Excellent waiting room(S).

Orange is awesome that subframe is going to look awesom! So does the solid steering bushing make a good difference in the steering?

So the local police cornered me today in the elementary school parking lot while i was fixing the gauge cluster because my spedometer doesn't work for some reason. Long story short, swapping the speedo motor and assembly didn't help me, tips???

But yeah, they must have thought I was hot wiring my own car... until a neighbor who saw me working asked me what was up, I told her my predicament, and she relayed that to the cops. Hopefully they don't give my car a ticket for loitering because it's going to be there til sunday night unless one of my heartless friends helps me out lol.

The lady was really nice, gave me lemonade too. Why am I working on it in parking lots? I'm not allowed to even bring it home bc my mom's a very weird person who doesn't like s-chassis cars no matter how little i spend on them.

You can park it at my house for a couple of days. Just as long as you don't have it there for years like some people. Just give me a call, I'll be out of town this Sunday and Monday, but just let me know.

Sounds good kiet. I'm taking it for inspection on monday so after that we can talk.

Update, sry no pics. I didn't get a ticket for parking or loitering, so that's good. Fixed the speedometer. The sohc or dohc cluster harness is identical as well as the sohc and dohc rear cluster circuit board, just spreading the knowledge around.

I put the original KA24DE speedo back in because the sohc ones work, but aren't made to work with the dohc speed sensor I would guess because they are calibrated slightly differently.

Subframe should be super dry, rustoleum says give it 2 days to fully cure. I'll be working on installing that and the coils soon, as well as painting and installing the rustless hatch. The third thing I would like to have ready before june 7th is my j30 brakes put back on and all spl stainlessbrake lines installed. The interior can wait for now .

Here's to seeing some of you at the NE philly cookout!
