i dont think he's doubting you, he was saying that based off of what he's heard they're not good but by you saying they hold up to NYC pot holes then that proves hear-say wrong.

IMO the seats are really important. I would just get S14 seats instead. Because sh1tty seats might break when you get into an accident..

I like your idea!!! Cool project!!

I noticed the eBay catback you bought has that annoying silencer inside it. I also have an eBay catback, and if you ever figure out how to get that silencer out, please tell me. Here's my car zerothread?id=317102. Go check it out if you want.

my silencer came right out, just undo the bolt. i think pflichit (sp?) had a problem with the silencer, he had to bend the muffler tip a little bit, undo the bolt then bend it back no problem. got a pic of your tip/silencer?

grab your nearest lubrication device (wd-40, mystery oil, tub of lard if your kinky) and soak away. thing should slide right out!

I already got the bolts out and tried yanking the ****er out with this hanger thing that i got at a hardware store that a bunch of people insisted on me trying but it didnt exactly work. Some people said that the silencer tack might be welded in, but i looked inside and i didnt see anything.

you preload them like this adjust the spring all the way up with just hand tightening them then lock them in place and adjust the ride height with the bottom half, You have to set the preload with the spring and LEAVE IT!! Basically the spring should not move up and down but you should be able to spin it between the top and the bottom mounts (while jacked that is). Do not adjust the height by the spring!! use the bottom collar for thatok makesure spring is all the way up to the top of the strut just enough that you can move it by hand then lock in place with the lower spring perch (GREEN) then loosen the lower lock (RED) and adjust rideheight with the lower part (YELLOW)i hope this helps.

All I got out of that was sweat and my parents getting angry at me. I guess WD 40 isnt a very good lubricant. Any other suggestions? Cuz i think im just gonna end up leaving it in there cuz my parents continue to tell me just leave it in there. You dont want to be like those bungholes flying up Hollywood Blvd with their loud *** exhausts. The fact is YES I DO!

if you get the appropriate tire size like low profiles then the there will actually be no difference in gearing having taller wheels. 17" tires are more expensive than say 15" or 16" tires though if that's what you're concerned about.

And keep spraying the exhaust silencer with WD40 and eventually it will break loose

I saw someone post before saying that they got eBay exhaust and when they ran it the silencer got stuck in there. There might be something with the heat that makes it expand and wedge itself in there. That would be my only guess. I know when I order mine in the next couple of days i'm not going to put the silencer in.

The same one the creator of this thread bought from, Lokakech. it is the cheapest one, esp if you live outside CA. If you look at all the different sellers, they all have the same cheap-o exhaust, so it really doesn't matter who you buy it from. But why pay $300 when you can pay ~$165 for the exact same thing.
