Its funny because I could probably sell him a set of blown shocks and he'd be like, "they were awesome," I felt the road better, they feel rough like "racing" shocks. (thinking the weird feeling is the aftermarket shocks... he doesn't know any better)

I was wondering how much rebuilding coilovers would cost..I see blown brand name coils on ebay once in a while and did some research. JIC coils ran about 100 for each=400 for a complete rebuild.
I always thought overhauling ebay parts after they fail/blow up/whatever is a good idea. Like if my turbo drops but the housing is still intact, I could just have a reputable shop overhaul it to precision and awesome specs. Anyway, please take some close-ups of the welds on the coils, hopefully they'll hold up-I think you will be fine tho. I don't think these companies would survive all the lawsuits if the coils cracked after 6 months but we'll see
