ok so heres some stuff to look at, comment on and get some answers.
tension rod bushings check:look at the clearence for the belt to the PS line, i dont really like it.
first off we will look at the vaccum lines cleaned up + wiring on the EFI harness....
looks spiffy
need to make a small piece for what looks like a water outlet from the middle of the intake to the TB
what is this sensor?! (ill search if yall dont know or dont tell me) its below where the throttle body goes and has vaccum outlets that i want to remove.
heres the clearance to the back of the engine bay
heres where im routing the ECU plugs at: need to widen the one hole a tad; will probably put the trim back on for the A/C stuff to make it look sorta stock
OK so all i gotta do is move the 7 or so wires to where they mate up to the EFI harness; repair 2 or 3 more plugs, and hook up the lower harness (should take a few hours to finish this part, once it runs ill wrap up the loose ends and tuck it the rest of the way
heres a few clearence issues motor mounts.... this is gonna be a pain to tighten down.....
on a postive note, the ppl on club s12 are weird and made it sound like the header hits the firewall... i got plenty of room.... the cat is angled wrong, but it only has to make it a mile to the exhaust shop and they can cut and weld up the rest of it
and finally the trans mount
seems i have an mk1.5
the mk 2 is a bolt on affair.... but not so much here
here is my game plan
the stock KA mount is about 5 inches up from the shifter, but there is what seems like a second mounting position further back since most of the weight sits on the motor mounts, and the fact that the trans will rest or push down on the mount ill be alright if i put those T shaped bolts in the slots and then mount the s13 trans mount to the s12 crossmember.
i might have to notch it a tad but its totally doable.
heres my problem
the KA has that stupid piece that is in the middle of the end that looks like a hook
i think im going to grind down the small section and leave the buldge; and simply cut a square outta the trans mount so it slides in.... this can help secure the trans to the mount if that makes sense.
bad news.... NOOO way i can use a stock combo driveshaft it will be too long
good news, its getting done!!!!!!
well this weekend not so much but by the end of fall break (next tues) i want it running and back together minus the D/S and exhaust
